Rakish Prince’s Courtship - Chapter 49

Su Luo and Nangong Liuyun had agreed on their rendezvous place. She waited for him under the big tree outside of the city.

Before long, clouds of dust rose on the road far away. The sound of animal howling carried over.

Su Luo peered into the distance.

A strange-looking horse galloped toward her, dragging an exquisite carriage. It moved at full speed and arrived in front of her in the blink of an eye.

The white horse attracted the most attention.

It was absolutely not an ordinary horse.

It was the shape of a horse, but was covered with black scales and looked remarkably dashing. It ran at a speed several times faster than what the Akhal-Teke horses were capable of.

Before she knew it, the horse was already standing still in front of Su Luo.

With its black scales glittering, it shook its head and waved its tail, then raised its two front legs and howled to the sky. How stunning and magnificent.

“Could this be a Dragon Scale Horse?” Su Luo gasped in astonishment.

She had been reading a lot about the general history of the continent and other subjects. So, she had a pretty good knowledge of the species.

“How could it not be?” Su Luo heard Nangong Liuyun’s low and enchanting voice answer.

Through the ornate curtain of the carriage, she could vaguely see Nangong Liuyun lounging elegantly on the soft chair inside.

Su Luo was at a loss for words for a moment.

As far as she knew, the Dragon Scale Horse was a type of demon beast, and it was extremely powerful. Even the most ordinary Dragon Scale Horses had the strength of a fifth-rank human fighter.

How strong was fifth-rank? As an example, Su Xi, the so-called gifted child, was only second rank for now. Su Jingyu was in the third rank. And the formidable Grand Protector General Su Zi’an was only a fifth-rank fighter.

A mere Dragon Scale Horse was comparable to the Grand Protector General. Nangong Liuyun was the only person in the entire East Hill who had a horse like this. No one else had the privilege.

He didn’t raise the Dragon Scale Horse as a warhorse. Instead, he treated it as only a ride.

It was indeed luxurious and matched the reputation of the legendary Prince Jin.

“Come in.” Sitting inside the carriage, Nangong Liuyun wiggled his long and lean fingers at Su Luo. A seductive smile appeared on his face.

He spoke at a moderate tempo with a casual yet domineering tone.

Su Luo also wanted to try the Dragon Scale Horse out. She lifted the curtain and stepped inside.

Compared to the carriage’s extravagant outward appearance, the interior was elegant and exquisite.

“What a lush carriage. You must have extorted plenty of money from the common people?” Su Luo asked in amazement while admiring the lavish decorations.

Nangong Liuyun let out a low chuckle. He looked at Su Luo with a smile and said, “What? The chivalrous heroine plans to speak up for the interests of the oppressed?”

“I don’t have time for that.” Su Luo waved her hands. She sat down, lifted the white jade teapot, and gracefully poured a cup of tea for herself. She praised Nangong Liuyun, saying, “Prince Jin really knows how to enjoy life. Riding in the most extravagant horse carriages and drinking the most aromatic tea.”

“And seeking the most headstrong woman, cuddling with the most beautiful woman, and kissing his favorite woman.” Nangong Liuyun reached out with his slender hand, and Su Luo fell into his arms straight away.
