The moon lurked behind the heavy clouds. The surroundings were only barely discernible in the dusky moonlight.

Su Luo hid behind a pillar in the shadow of darkness. She couldn’t see clearly. She was wary of looking around recklessly and would only steal a glance occasionally out of the corner of her eyes.

Su Bowu stared at Nangong Liuyun with a steely and ferocious look and said, “The pavilion is an important area. Unauthorized people need to back away.”

Nangong Liuyun laughed aloud. His eyes were cold and devious, completely different from how he was like with Su Luo. “What if I insist on entering?”

“They will be summarily executed!” Su Bowu’s voice was cruel and ruthless. Barely discernible in the darkness, he sounded frightening.

A sense of absolute confidence was conveyed in his voice.

The Treasure Pavilion in the Su Mansion had been safe for many years thanks to the protection of this old, sixth-rank man. The number of people who were at sixth-rank or higher in the entire East Hill was so few that it could be counted on one hand.

That was why Su Bowu had such confidence.

Cloaked in a black ninja suit, Prince Jin flashed a crooked smile and shot him a look of haughty disdain. “Summarily executed? Then let’s see who will execute whom.”

“What pompous rhetoric! Since you want to die, I will grant your wish!” Su Bowu sneered. His murderous eyes stared viciously at Nangong Liuyun. His gaze seemed to say Nangong Liuyun was a dead man walking.

He had met plenty of thieves in all of his years guarding the Treasure Pavilion. But none of them had been as domineering and filled with pride as Nangong Liuyun.

Before Su Bowu’s voice faded, his red-hot Iron Sand Palm struck at Nangong Liuyun. Sparks were swept along by his hands, scorching and blazing everything in their path.

Su Bowu was a Fire Element mage. His Iron Sand Palm had been known throughout the entire East Hill when he was making a living in his youth.

He was evidently maddened by Nangong Liuyun, starting the fight with his killing move.

Every move of his was brutal and relentless, aiming to kill the opponent on the spot.

Nonetheless, Nangong Liuyun didn’t panic. His lips curled up a little, and his eyes were forbidding, giving off an imposing and commanding sense.

The Iron Sand Palm menacingly bore down trailing sparks of fire. The hot air pressed against Nangong Liuyun’s face.

Nangong Liuyun turned and clasped his hands together. When he separated them again, he pulled a giant ball of water from his palms. He pushed the water ball forward —

The Iron Sand Palm met the water ball and was immediately doused.

A flicker of astonishment flashed across Su Bowu’s eyes. He hadn’t expected the thief to have skills so superb that they could counter the move that had brought him his fame.

“Alright, since you’re determined to die, then have a taste of my Hellfire!” Before his voice faded off, Su Bowu’s hands produced numerous fireballs that shot at Nangong Liuyun and surrounded him from all directions.

“Ah–” All of a sudden, Nangong Liuyun bellowed in pain. His right hand pressed on his left shoulder and he glared viciously at Su Bowu. “There will be plenty of time in the future. We’ll meet some day again!”

No sooner had he finished talking than he retreated backward in an unnatural manner. To all that could see, his body appeared to be shaking as though he was severely injured.

“Come and go as you want? What kind of place do you think the Su Mansion is? Stay!” As Su Bowu spoke in a cold voice, he cast countless small fireballs toward Nangong Liuyun.

Nonetheless, Nangong Liuyun dodged and ducked. Oddly, he didn’t get hit by any of the fireballs. It was like he had eyes on the back of his head.

It had now truly infuriated Su Bowu!

He snorted in exasperation and set off to chase after Nangong Liuyun.

However, to his surprise, Nangong Liuyun didn’t seem to be slowing down. He was running chaotically around the Su Mansion without a clear direction.
