Queen, Please Let Me Die! - Chapter 34

Time passed quickly for Sous.

In the room, Gentle was massaging Sous and listening to him tell a story. When Sous reached the climax of the story, he suddenly stopped. Gentle began to laugh in a strange manner. She used one hand to exert strength on Sous’ shoulder. “Mr. Sous, you said that the protagonist went to the Zephyr Sect for the Three Year Agreement. What happened in the end? Tell me!”

Sous’ eyes closed as he enjoyed the beautiful beast woman’s service. This massage really was comfortable.

“We’ll talk about it next time,” Sous said with a grin. The ending of the story was still a while away, and he was not the one to decide how it would end.

“Tell me now.” Gentle was hung up on this. She really wanted to hear the ending. Sous’ ability to tell stories was too amazing, and the stories he told were not the ones she had heard before. It was simply hot-blooded, and it made her feel refreshed and carefree.

It was already dawn outside.

Birdsongs, fragrant flowers,

The morning dew was sweet and fragrant.

Outside, the beastmen were already busy setting up the final preparations for the sacrificial ritual.

“If you don’t go now, Mercy will come and call you again,” Sous said with a smile. Mercy had been here many times for her. But Gentle kept listening to Sous’ stories and did not budge. He found this funny.

“Oh, come on, just tell me. I’ll leave as soon as I hear it,” Gentle cooed. There was no other way. She wanted to know too much. They were at the plot she’d been looking forward to, but he wasn’t going to say anything about it. Was he trying to keep her in suspense on purpose?

‘That’s what you said just now.’ Sous couldn’t help but laugh at the way she was acting. ‘That’s what fiction is all about. It keeps bugging you. You read this chapter and the next until you’ve finished reading it. That’s what’s so scary about fiction. Is Gentle not planning on leaving at all? This story isn’t something you can finish telling in a day or two.’

“But I want to know what happened after that.” Gentle became more delicate, her mood surging. The two balls continuously shook on Sous’ back, making Sous feel an unbearable itch. This damn beastwoman Gentle was too erotic.

‘Never mind.’ Sous smiled. ‘It doesn’t matter. Let’s get on with it, then.’

Just like that, they had already finished refining the spiritual energy from the very beginning. But they were still awake until now, all because Gentle wanted to listen to stories.

On this day, only the Skalan Tribe was busy.

When Sous had just started to continue telling his story, Mercy came again and took Gentle away. Sous didn’t fall asleep. He went out the door.

He watched the beastmen working happily, and busying themselves for the Skalan Tribe and the Guardian. They were wholeheartedly doing it for the Ritual.

“I hope nothing will happen and it can continue smoothly,” Sous muttered to himself. He had already made up his mind. He had to destroy this Ritual for the sake of the Skalan Empire and himself.

The Skalan Empire would definitely not allow the Skalan Tribe to hold a normal ceremony. If this ceremony succeeded, it would be blamed on the Skalan Empire, and the Empress would definitely not sit by and do nothing. It was also time for him to return the favor. He had never had the chance to repay the Empress for saving his life, but it was different now.

He was on the inside. The beastmen might be on guard against him, but they would not be too wary. However, he believed that there wouldn’t be too many people who would come to watch the Skalan Tribe complete the ritual. The main power was from the Holy Land. The Holy Land controlled the Skalan Tribe. If the Guardian of the Skalan Tribe woke up, they wouldn’t be able to handle it.

On the other hand, as long as he made a move before them, he could die an ugly death. The Skalan Tribe would not let him off. Mercy would attack him because he had lied. It was not difficult to kill him. Benevolence would not let him off either. After thinking about it, no one would let him off.

The Ritual was too important to them.

It was the same with the Skalan Empire. They valued the Guardian’s Ritual just as much as the beastmen did. Sous knew this very well. He had spent time in the Skalan Empire, and the Empress felt the same way. Everyone did.

“Why are the Guardians asleep?”

Sous stood in the doorway deep in thought while watching the busy Orcs. He wasn’t quite sure why, because as far as he knew, the Guardians of many places were asleep. The only thing they all looked forward to was the Sacrifice Ritual, waiting to see if the Ritual could awaken the Guardians.

The Divine Dragon of the Skalan Empire had too fallen asleep, and so had the Guardian of the Skalan Tribe. It was said that the Guardian Beasts of many countries had also fallen asleep. Moreover, it seemed that they had all fallen asleep at the same time, as if they had made an agreement. Everyone had fallen asleep one after another in the same year, as if they were in a trance. This was very strange.

Why?

Sous was also curious. He did not know if he could see the main body of the Guardian. If he remembered correctly, the Divine Dragon of the Skalan Empire had always been under the Skalan Empire. There had always been someone waiting by for it to awaken.

“Sous, come.”

Mercy was instructing others to do their work. Now that Gentle had gone to take over him, he finally had some time to rest. After telling Gentle how to set up the place, Mercy came to find Sous and threw him a fruit that was not fully ripe yet. It was still a little green.

He hadn’t eaten all night, and he was a little hungry. Sous took a bite. It was a little sour, but also sweet. It tasted good.

“I heard from Gentle that you told her a story. She has been complaining about me. She wants to hear the ending to the story you told her. What story is it? She is so obsessed with it.” Mercy was rather curious about this. Gentle was not a playful child. It was a little strange that she had been obsessed with Sous’ stories.

“It’s not much. This story is a little long. It will take a while to finish.” Sous smiled. How could he finish this story in a few days? It was completely impossible. Waiting was also a kind of joy. Once he had the anticipation, he would continue the story himself.

“Tell me about it.” Mercy chuckled and took a bite of the fruit in his mouth.

“Never mind. You’re not a female. If you were a female, it would be easier. I could talk to you about it, but I’d rather not. I don’t want a male pestering me.” Sous was blunt. He smiled, joking.

Mercy was helpless, but he wasn’t angry. After the two of them became friends and brothers, they didn’t speak so politely anymore. They could say whatever they wanted to say, and the current situation wasn’t too bad either.

It was a little regretful.

“Sigh, I’m so sad. I’m even more curious about what story you’re talking about. I asked Gentle to tell it to me, but she didn’t even know how to tell it. Even if she did, I’d still not want to hear it. It’s really meaningless.”
