Oscar - Chapter 1.3

“Annette.”

With Kamael’s soft whisper, Annette quickly shook off the negative thoughts that had been in her head for a while. Kamael’s deep blue eyes were just looking at her. His eyes, like the swirling blue sea, were deeper as he peered closer.

“Beautiful….”

Kamael had been looking at her for some time and whispered, as if he didn’t expect himself to say that aloud. Annette laughed as if she was speechless and giggled out.

“It’s probably because you’re looking at a mirror.”

In fact, they looked the same, but their atmosphere was clearly different. If anyone was currently praised as the most beautiful in heaven, it was definitely Kamael. A beautiful body as if to prove that an angel is a messenger of God. Annette didn’t know what to say whenever her twin brother, who had nothing of shortage, praised her for her lack of dignity. Kamael asked back with a small smile.

“Do you think I’m such a conceited angel?”

No. Of course not, that wouldn’t be true. Annette shook her head silently.

“You’re beautiful enough, Annette.”

Kamael once again murmured at her in a clear voice. As expected, it was a useless attempt at verification. I couldn’t believe he would have such a vain idea, who truly thought that she was beautiful and sweet. It was natural that it was too much for her to receive an angel’s gift.

“Okay, that’s enough admiration from you, you can leave now.”

“I’ll be back as soon as I can.”

Kamael smiled again and gently pressed his lips on her forehead. The kiss, which seemed to have laid down on her forehead, grew longer and longer. He repeatedly got his fingers tangled and untangled in her hair.

“…Kamael?”

“Yes?”

A low-pitched voice touched the skin, creating an echo. And Annette’s body became increasingly cold, except for the spot on the forehead where his lips touched. As Kamael whispered an angel’s song, a loud voice was heard from heaven.

– Infringement at the border. Summon the combat troops located east of the heavens immediately.

Annette’s golden eyelashes, which were facing down calmly, lifted up and blinked. Kamael’s visage, which was removed from her forehead, hardened and seemed to change seriously. Then without any time to say anything, his body floated into the air and disappeared like smoke.

“…….”

Annette blinked her eyes quickly without a sound. Considering that the farther the distance, the greater the need for a great deal of power to appear, the power of the head leading the entire 6th tier Angels was as powerful as ever.

Thanks to him, Kamael’s sentiments to her seemed to have been cut off in the middle. Annette’s body, which was about to disappear transparently, slowly regained its shape. Annette’s bare feet gently touched the floor. After sitting on the wall again without hesitation, she quietly stared at the blue sky where Kamael disappeared and gave a small smile.

“Maybe we’re the same, but we’re also different.

A small whisper ran through her lips. It was possible to protect the entrance to heaven and prevent evil invasion because of brave soldiers like Kamael. Annette always admired and loved her brother, who fought at the forefront of danger.

“Instead, I’ll stay a little longer. Kamael.”

The playful light hidden in Annette’s purple-ish eyes flashed. Since birth, she had lived only with Kamael in the castle. An adult angel was able to escape the castle, but it was a role that did not apply to her, who had yet to be classified.

“It’s okay to get some fresh air.”

A small sigh and a blurry smile flowed out of Annette’s lips, who raised her head. It was clear that the purple crystal castle, which Kamael poured out his voice and made powerful, would not collapse even if a big explosion occurred in heaven.

“So you’re gonna let me do this, aren’t you?”

A flower garden with nowhere she couldn’t reach, and a blue sky where she sometimes flies alone when Kamael was away. It is said that only God is a wide celestial being to know the end, but the world for her was just enough for her to understand.

“Because I’m the only angel here.”

Annette whispered softly and giggled.

The wind, flowers, trees, raindrops, dirt, moss, and tiny stones rolling on the floor were all kind to her. The wind blew when it was hot, the birds sang when she was lonely, and the moist raindrops added harmony.

Wet dirt and moss stimulated her lungs and gave her a refreshing feeling, while tiny stones rolling on the floor rolled on their own when she walked barefoot. The withered flowers bloomed, welcoming her touch.
