Tang Yan and Mu Bai were chatting over a cup of coffee on the third floor of the Imperial View building.

Knowing about what happened during Mu Bai’s blind date, Tang Yan burst into laughter, attracting stares from everyone around.

But those eyes quickly looked away when they realised that those two people were Tang Yan and Mu Bai.

Mu Bai looked at Tang Yan with disdain.

What was so funny?

Tan Yang finally stopped laughing. “Did you seriously do that on purpose? Staging a drama with your ex to ruin the blind date?”

Mu Bai took a sip of his unsweetened black coffee and bitterness spread in his mouth. “How I wish she would agree.”

Tang Yan made a face. “Isn’t she just a woman? Let me teach you a trick to get her!”

“I’m all ears,” Mu Bai said believing in Tang Yan’s words.

Tang Yan hemmed to clear his throat. “Undress, get in bed, choose your posture, flirt and then it is done.”

Mu Bai gave him a stern look.

Is there anyone in this world who is less legit than Tang Yan?

“Hahaha!”

“Mu Bai, you look like you’re in heaven!”

Knowing Mu Bai’s temperament, yet Tang Yan was still determined to add salt onto the wound.

Speaking of bad company.

Mu Bai took another sip of the coffee, ignoring Tang Yan who was facing him.

“All right, I will stop making fun of you. Here is the real deal: flowers, diamond, nice car and mansion.”

Mu Bai looked at him. “Does every woman love these things?”

“Trust me. It’ll work!” Tang Yan vowed.

Mu Bai frowned feeling unsure if it was true.

Had Shi Yu been here, he would have only one word for it: lame.

In the president’s office on the seventeenth floor, Shi Yu had worked non-stop for three hours and had finally gone through all the important documents that needed his attention.

He got to his feet, loosened his tie and undid two buttons of his shirt to reveal his tanned skin.

He walked toward the floor-to-ceiling window and looked over the entire bustling city outside.

Every time his secretary came in, she could not help but steal a glance at him.

Her heart would pound with every glance she took.

All of a sudden, Shi Yu’s eyes narrowed as his sexy lips curled up in a faint smile.

On the street below, he noticed a petite woman looking down as she jotted something on her notebook.

It might not be clear enough, but he could still make out who she was at first glance, even though she appeared to be ten times smaller from where he stood.

A smile broke out on his lips. It had a hint of evilness and lusciousness.

He turned around and headed out of the office.

Mu Bai and Tang Yan decided to leave since Shi Yu had not showed up after an hour.

Tang Yan planned to play a game with Mu Bai to prove what he said was true.

Out of the Imperial View building, a graceful woman came into view.

He had to admit that she looked beautiful.

Tang Yan had made her his target at first glance.

“Ahem.” Tang Yan gave Mu Bai a meaningful glance. “Take a look at that woman. What do you think?”

Mu Bai saw the woman not far from him, though her back was facing him.

He seemed not to care how the woman looked, though.

“Forget it,” he frowned as he said to Tang Yan.

He might be curious to know if flowers, diamonds, nice cars and mansions worked, but he did not want to stoop so low.

Tang Yan looked at him with disdain. “Getting cold feet at the last minute isn’t manly. Besides, I am not asking you to do it yourself.”

Mu Bai’s brows were knitted together even tighter, apparently undecided.

Tang Yan patted him on his shoulder. “Young Master Mu, keep your almond eyes wide open while I’m at it!”
