Omnipotent Data - Chapter 53

“Thank you so much for reminding us,” said Zhao Meng sincerely as she stood up and finally regained her senses.

Cheng Nuo smiled and waved his hand. “It’s nothing much, just please don’t do a mass dance again.”

“Definitely.” Zhao Meng nodded.

After understanding the danger, even if Zhao Meng was paid to do that in the future, she would never risk her own life.

After Zhao Meng and Cheng Nuo chatted, Zhao Meng and her friends left the glass bridge cautiously as if they were afraid that the bridge would collapse like the bridge in the video.

Cheng Nuo shook his head and smiled. Then he signalled for the rest of the people from class 18 to get onto the bridge.

“Cheng Nuo, what were you talking about with the girls?” asked Su Xiaoxiao curiously as she walked to Cheng Nuo.

Cheng Nuo shook his hand. “Nothing much.”

It was too complicated for Cheng Nuo to explain, so he might as well not.

Su Xiaoxiao blinked and her tone became mysterious. “Could it be… Were you flirting?”

“Miss, what are you talking about?” Cheng Nuo rubbed Su Xiaoxiao’s head and said, “I just saved their lives. It’s fine if you don’t praise me for that, but don’t you dare to accuse me! I am not like that!”

Su Xiaoxiao tidied her hair that was messed up by Cheng Nuo while pouting and staring at Cheng Nuo. She wanted to talk back, but Cheng Nuo cut her off.

“Let’s go. Otherwise, we may not be able to catch up with the rest of the group.”

Cheng Nuo took a look and saw that the rest of the group had already reached the center of the glass bridge. Then he rushed over with Su Xiaoxiao.

The glass bridge was a famous attraction of the Giant Rock Peak for its reasons.

Looking down on the glass bridge, the transparent glass showed the rocks and lakes under the mountain. The greenery and the crowd in the mountains created a beautiful scenery. Looking up, one could see the blue sky with several white clouds. Feeling the gentle breeze blowing on one’s shirt and ruffling one’s hair, one would feel as though their heart was cleansed and as though they were in heaven.

Cheng Nuo and the rest stayed on the glass bridge for a long time. Then they finally continued making their way up despite the unwillingness of a few girls. At 1 PM, they reached an altitude of 800 meters. There was a rather big rest area at that altitude. It was also the only cable car route in the Giant Rock Peak.

Some tourists who did not have the stamina to continue climbing up the mountain but still wanted to head to the peak would spend money to take the cable car up 300 more meters.

The rest area was very big. It was about the size of two or three basketball courts.

Apart from having one-fifth of the area dedicated for the cable cars, the rest of the area was bustling with activity like a market.

Although it was already at an altitude of 800 meters, these vendors still made their way up to earn money!

Cheng Nuo took a look. Most of the vendors were selling food. Only a few of them were selling souvenirs or were game booths.

Although the things across the stalls were different, they shared a common similarity—they were expensive! It was so expensive that it was unimaginable!

A bottle of mineral water which cost only 1 Yuan normally was sold at 5 Yuan there!

Cup noodles, which were sold normally at 3 to 4 Yuan, were sold at 20 Yuan there! Moreover, one had to pay extra for hot water.

A bowl of mutton soup with two buns cost less than 20 Yuan normally but was sold at 70 Yuan there!

“Too expensive? If you think it is too expensive, you can descend and buy! We carried all of the food from the foot of the mountain to this altitude, we definitely have to make some profiti!”

Either way, if one wanted to buy, they would buy. Otherwise, they were just walking by! Although there were many posts on the internet that reminded tourists to prepare food before hiking, many tourists thought it was too troublesome and embarked on their journey without bringing anything.

Perhaps they would only regret it when they ate cup noodles that cost 20 Yuan and drank water that cost 5 Yuan.

“Why am I tearing up? It is because this mineral water is freaking expensive!”

Fortunately, Cheng Nuo and the rest knew that the food sold on the mountain was extremely expensive and had prepared food beforehand. Su Xiaoxiao had done the best job. She had brought a full bag of snacks that was worth three to four people’s serving.

The 13 of them scattered around and began to stuff their mouths with food from their bags. Cheng Nuo, Hao Shuai, Su Xiaoxiao, Mu Leng, and Jiang Qingqing sat around one stone table.

The scorching hot sun was still shining extremely brightly. Jiang Qingqing took out a UV-blocking umbrella to block off the sunlight.

After one morning of hiking, the few of them were almost completely exhausted and the girls were breathing heavily. Almost half of the things in Cheng Nuo’s backpack was high-calorie chocolate. He gave one chocolate bar to each of the four people.

Su Xiaoxiao and Hao Shuai accepted the chocolate without hesitation. However, Mu Leng and Jiang Qingqing shook their heads and rejected his offer.

Cheng Nuo understood that immediately and took back the two chocolate bars.

Girls, especially pretty girls, were extremely particular about their figures. They would control their diets and were extremely afraid to eat any high-calorie foods.

High-calorie foods like chocolate were like killers to a girl’s perfect figure. One had to exercise a lot to burn off the calories in one bar of chocolate. It was understandable why Jiang Qingqing and Mu Leng refused to eat the chocolate and only ate some blueberry bread.

As for Su Xiaoxiao…

Ugh… She was not a normal girl. She ate so much food every day but was still so petite and looked like a porcelain doll.

Cheng Nuo did not know how to react as he saw Su Xiaoxiao eating her chocolate bar happily.

Cheng Nuo took a bite of the chocolate.

“Calorie intake: 132 calories.”

Hmm, not bad, he had burned 3,524 calories during the hike and should be able to regain the calories he had lost very quickly.

“Burp!”

After drinking an energy drink, Cheng Nuo immediately felt energized! After a few days of working out, Cheng Nuo’s stamina had improved quite a bit and he was considered fit amongst high school students. After finishing his food and replenishing his energy, Cheng Nuo felt re-energized.

“Cheng Nuo, pass me my bag.”

Su Xiaoxiao stretched out her hand.

Cheng Nuo nodded and passed Su Xiaoxiao her pink bag.

After ransacking through her bag, Su Xiaoxiao took out a bottle of the holy water of Qing Cheng — Laoshan Oldenlandia!

It was the legitimate holy water of Qing Cheng!
