Yun Jianyue didn’t cry for long and unwittingly fell asleep.

He decided to take a trip to the office in the afternoon. While on the way there, he received another call from Gu Anyang. He had no choice but to change directions halfway and go back to Jia Yuan.
He asked Zeng Pei right after he entered the door, “How’s her condition?”
“Forty-degree fever. Mr. Bai gave her an infusion and left medicine. The hospital called to rush him, and he only just left. Lady Anyang is accompanying the Missus.”
Gu Zhishen didn’t say anything and quickened his steps upstairs.
Gu Anyang wasn’t so much accompanying Yun Jianyue. It would be better to say she was lying face down on the bed and looking at her.

“I got it.” Gu Zhishen didn’t even lift his head when he replied. His gaze stayed on Yun Jianyue, distress lingering.
Gu Anyang didn’t interrupt them and quietly left and closed the door.
Gu Zhishen saw her ill, haggard look and couldn’t bear it. His dark eyebrows frowned involuntarily. This little thing was really so weak.
He lifted the cup of water placed on the bedside cabinet and took a sip but didn’t swallow. He lowered his head and moved toward her scalding lips. He passed the warm water drip by drip into her mouth. He used the tip of his tongue to push it to her throat, forcing her to drink.
Yun Jianyue was burning and in a daze. She didn’t know what happened at all. Perhaps it was the warm water that made her feel somewhat comfortable. With Gu Zhishen, she actually slowly finished drinking the entire cup of water.

It wasn’t that she’d never received flowers before. Many people had given her those types of romantic flowers. Su Xu had also given her red roses. However, there’d never been a man who had personally gone to pluck flowers to give to her.
“You went to pluck them especially for me?” Yun Jianyue received the colorful flowers. The flowers were arranged by shade and made her think of a rainbow.
Gu Zhishen didn’t answer and asked her, “Is there a second woman at Jia Yuan?” It was worth it for him to take the trouble like this!
