My Sweetest Wife, Hubby Is on His Way Home - Chapter 41

Bo Lun was brightly lit the whole night. The hackers’ malicious attacks paralyzed the system. Although the security and technical departments were doing their best to restore it, the destroyed and leaked data caused considerable damages and losses.

The company’s upper management held a meeting through the night. As Bo Lun’s president, Gu Zhishen had to stay at the company and face and fix this problem with them.

At the early hour of 4:37 a.m., a person from the technical department suddenly screamed, “It’s fixed, Assistant Cheng, it’s fixed, it…”

Cheng Yufei was sitting in a seat at the side, reading mail. He was dozing off because he’d stayed up all night, but being called like this suddenly woke him up. He got up and went behind the person from the technical department. Not only was the company’s internal system restored but even the lost data were recovered.

“Who restored it?” Cheng Yufei asked.

“I don’t know. It was suddenly restored!” the colleague from the technical department answered.

Cheng Yufei asked him to stand up, and he sat in the seat. He immediately opened the firewall. Not only was the firewall that had been attacked thoroughly restored, but it was even more stable and safe than before.

The worker from the technical department had worked overtime for three days straight. He never would’ve thought it would suddenly get better. He’d been about to doze off. He needed to use coffee to refresh himself, and even he suddenly became excited!

Cheng Yufei stood up and looked around him. He cleared his throat and asked, “Which one of you fixed it?”

Each of the workers at the technical department looked at each other and shook their heads one after another to deny it was them.

The rewards and punishment at Bo Lun had always been very clear. If they didn’t do it, no one would say it was them.

Cheng Yufei was puzzled. If this had been done by someone from the technical department, no one would deny it was them. However, if it wasn’t them, who was it?

He would ignore who did it for now. Being able to restore the system was a good thing, no matter what.

“Everybody has worked hard the past few days. You can all go back to rest now. Today will be an off day, and work will continue tomorrow to handle the subsequent issues!”

Cheng Yufei, on the other hand, immediately went to the office on the top floor to report what happened to Gu Zhishen!

Gu Zhishen’s shirt wasn’t untidy in any way, and there was no dust on it. With documents in hand, he listened to Cheng Yufei say the system was restored and that the firewall was even safer than before. It was just that they didn’t know who had done it. His dark eyebrows tightened slightly, “It wasn’t anyone from the technical department?”

“No!” Cheng Yufei shook his head. “If it were them, they would’ve handled it long ago and wouldn’t wait till now. They also would’ve admitted it was them!”

Gu Zhishen put down the document. This situation was too strange. Who exactly was helping him in secret?

He lifted his hand to indicate for Cheng Yufei to head out first. Once the office door was closed, he dialed a number and said frankly, “Were you the one who solved it?”

“What are you talking about?” The lazy and slightly deep voice came from the phone, showing impatience. “Don’t you know you’ll get struck by lightning if you interrupt others’ sweet dreams?”

Gu Zhishen knew he’d been sleeping the moment he heard his voice. In that case, he definitely wasn’t the one who’d done it.

“Don’t sleep first. The hacking at Bo Lun was solved by someone. The firewall has also become stronger. Get up and help me find out what’s going on!”

“It’s been solved?” He suddenly became wide awake. He immediately sat up and couldn’t help but click his tongue. “Who’s that good? It’s something even I can’t solve, but he can solve it? I need to go show my respect and have him become my master!”

“If I knew who it was, why would I still look for you?” Gu Zhishen frowned. He didn’t respond to any of the nonsense he said and threw out three cold words, “Quickly find out!”

After his voice stopped, he hung up the call straightaway.

He put down the cell phone and got up to walk over to the ceiling-to-floor window behind him. The sky outside was still gray. The marble-white color of the dawn sky could be seen in the east. His tall and steep figure projected on the bright glass. His handsome face was faintly discernible. His dark eyebrows were tight and full of puzzlement.

Exactly who was it that was helping him behind his back?

Mission accomplished!

Yun Jianyue let out a yawn and closed the computer. She took out her memory card and placed the computer and memory card back in the shoebox. She put it back in the bottom of the cabinet under the dresser.

She didn’t have time to wash up and lay down on the big bed straightaway. She fell asleep right as her head touched the pillow.

The floor was filled with bags of snacks, used paper, and paper towels…

There were three or four cups placed on the table. There was even unfinished coffee in the last cup.

The window curtains were moving slightly from the breeze, swaying in midair. Golden rays of light emerged from the east. The person on the bed entered into the sweetest dream.

Yun Jianyue woke up at a knock on the door. She got out of bed while dazed and even forgot to put on shoes. She rubbed her eyes as she went to open the door.

She saw Chen Xiaoxiao’s face faintly. and she leaned against the door and yawned. She couldn’t open her eyes. “Morning, Mom…”

She said good morning while yawning with tears in her eyes.

“It’s not morning anymore. It’s almost noon.” Chen Xiaoxiao saw the mess behind her and looked at the obvious dark circles underneath her eyes. Her heart tightened, “What happened to you? You didn’t sleep the entire night?”

“Yeah.” Yun Jianyue squinted her eyes. She wasn’t fully awake and still wanted to continue sleeping.

Chen Xiaoxiao rarely saw Yun Jianyue being so depraved and undisciplined. Her spirits didn’t even get this low when she failed her graduating high school exam back then. Could it be…

Chen Xiaoxiao thought of something and then stared at her deeply. She said sincerely and earnestly, “Yue Yue, tell Mommy. Did you break up with Su Xu?”

Besides breaking up, she couldn’t think of anything that would make her daughter lose sleep the entire night and eat and drink unreasonably.

“Huh?” Yun Jianyue heard the words “break up” and immediately opened her eyes to look at her. She completely didn’t know where she heard it from.

Chen Xiaoxiao looked at the dark circles under her eyes. She didn’t sleep the entire night, and her expression was haggard. This was obviously the look of someone who broke up!

“Yue Yue, listen to your mother. Although you broke up with Su Xu, you’ll definitely meet someone better in the future! Actually, it’s better to break up earlier. A short pain is better than a long pain. We shouldn’t waste our time on people who aren’t right for us. Your heart feels very upset right now, but trust your mother. After some time has passed, you’ll be able to forget Su Xu.”

Yun Jianyue’s dizzy head faintly understood that her mother had misunderstood something. She wanted to open her mouth and explain, but she was always interrupted by Cheng Xiaoxiao.

The last time she wanted to open her mouth, she suddenly remembered how she didn’t know how she should tell her about the breakup. In any case, they really did break up. Why not just let her mother misunderstand? It would save her the trouble of finding a reason and excuse.

When she thought of this, she immediately pretended to show a very pitiful expression. “Mommy…”

“I understand. Mommy understands. Endure it for a bit! It won’t hurt so much after a few days have passed…”

She took Yun Jianyue into her embrace. She couldn’t help but say it was a breakup. She felt slightly guilty as she lied to her mother again!

Chen Xiaoxiao was very concerned about her breakup. She thought Yun Jianyue didn’t want to see anyone because of the break up, so she didn’t ask her to go down to eat in the afternoon. She asked Auntie Wen to bring lunch up. She also asked her to apply for leave at work so she didn’t need to go and could rest at home for a few days. If she didn’t want to work, she could even resign. In any case, she could afford to care for her.

At Bo Lun company, Gu Zhishen received a call, and the person on the phone said, “About the thing you wanted me to investigate. I already have a rough idea. However, the person is much too vigilant. I have no way of tracking his exact IP address at all. I can only get a rough estimate of the location. If I’m not wrong, it’s that area.”

“What do you mean by rough estimate?” Gu Zhishen frowned. He was very dissatisfied with him for using such vague terms.
