My Summons Can Learn Skills - Chapter 58

The final destination of the Blood Umbrella Organization was the virus lab.

Once again, by using the Morph Skill to impersonate An Zhanyu, Chen Gou arrived at the lab building’s entrance alone. He successfully passed the security check and entered the building, where he saw Andric.

“Mr. An, what kind of strange idea do you wish to share with me after only such a short time?”

Andric was evidently very happy when he spotted Chen Gou. He walked over to the entrance, extended his hand, and welcomed Chen Gou.

After all, everyone else in the Blood Umbrella Organization treated him as an important tool. Only Chen Gou recognized his talent and research results, which made him feel exceptionally respected.

“It’s just a small thought. In any case, I was tired of waiting and I wanted to explore the lab to kill some time.” Chen Gou extended his right hand as well.

However, during the friendly handshake, Chen Gou released a two-inch-long white worm from his storage space and left in a spot no one could see.

This was the second-generation bloodworm created by Master Blackface!

It was important to note that the average storage space artifact could not store any living organisms.

The system’s storage space was different, however. Small living organisms without intelligence, like the bloodworm, could be stored inside.

Before entering a host’s body, the progenitor bloodworm did not possess any consciousness, as though it was sealed.

After it was released from the storage space, the bloodworm instantly pierced the skin of Andric’s palm and swiftly swam into the blood vessels and hid within them.

The whole process was over in 2 seconds, causing a slight pinch at that very moment. However, Andric did not notice it because Chen Gou had grasped his hand tightly during the handshake.

The security chief standing behind them did not notice that anything was amiss either.

“It is okay for you to visit the lab. However, according to the rules, you have to wear an artifact that suppresses your MP.”

“Alright.” Chen Gou agreed with a smile.

Andric’s eyes flickered, and the security chief instantly took out a bracelet-like accessory and put it on Chen Gou. He felt a piercing sensation as most of his MP was instantly sealed.

After doing all this, Andric had the security chief close the door and leave.

Chen Gou, whose MP was sealed, could not pose any threat to the professor now after all.

The professor was not an Awakener, but his physique was much better than that of the average person, as his body had been strengthened by using special viruses.

“Tell me about your thoughts.”

Andric asked an assistant with beautiful long wavy locks to offer a cup of coffee to Chen Gou.

“Do you believe that such a being like an angel truly exists, professor?” Chen Gou took a sip of coffee as he asked this question.

“Angel?” Andric frowned. “As a biology professor, I believe more in scientific experiments, not in legends and myths.”

“Humans have already started to possess the abilities of God fiends in legends. So why is it impossible for angels to exist?”

Chen Gou crossed his legs and smiled. “Let me tell you a story about angels, professor… 5,000 years ago, there were two sinful cities, Sodom and Gomorrah, beside the Dead Sea. God sent three archangels—Ozryel, Gabriel, and Michael—to destroy them.

“Ozryel was enticed by the sins and emotions of humans in these sinful cities and fell from grace. After completing the mission, he attacked Michael and drank the silver blood of an angel in a futile attempt to supersede God and become king on Earth.

“However, he was then impaled on the ground by the other angels with a beam of divine light and ended up having his body cut into seven parts and scattered across Earth. He was never able to see the divine light again.”

“That is a very interesting story, but it still proves nothing.” Andric shrugged and commented nonchalantly.

Chen Gou did not reply to that. “If I obtain the angel gene, can you use it to create a true Heaven Virus, professor?”

“Angel gene?”

Andric’s breathing accelerated suddenly as light beamed from his eyes as though he was a pervert seeing a naked beauty. “You have the angel gene?”

Chen Gou stirred the coffee lightly by using the provided spoon and gave him a faint smile. “Yes, it’s inside your body.”

“My body… What do you mean?”

“There is a second part to the story I just told you.”

Chen Gou drawled, “The seven remnant pieces of archangel Ozryel were buried by mother earth and gave birth to red worms after a long time. I call this kind of worm progenitor bloodworm. When it enters the body, the host will level up and obtain angel power!”

Then, Chen Gou took out a lead box and placed it on the table in front of Andric. Most of his magic was sealed by the bracelet on his left wrist, but this did not stop him from being able to open the storage space.

As soon as he opened the lead box, a one-inch-long red progenitor bloodworm could be seen lying inside… This was what Chen Gou had forced the Master to remove from his body.

Such an act would wound him, but he could not oppose the orders of the breeder.

“Just now, when I shook your hands, I placed a progenitor bloodworm in your body.”

“That’s absurd… Are you pulling my leg?” Andric gave the unimpressive part of the progenitor bloodworm a side-eye and shook his head in disbelief.

Chen Gou’s gaze scanned the office, and he saw an ultraviolet disinfection lamp in the corner that was commonly seen in labs. He pulled Andric over to the lamp, tagged the latter’s sleeve up, and shone the ultraviolet light down on his arm…

Wriggling patterns were immediately revealed under his skin. The bloodworm had already propagated in large amounts!

“What did you do to me?”

Andric was instantly frightened out of his wits when he saw this terrifying thing happening in his body. He hastily turned to run over to the office desk and press the alarm button.

Suddenly, there was a flash of light. Chen Gou had already extended the Rebirth Sword in front of him.

The light shining on the sword blade could cut through the skin on his neck with even the slightest contact.

In truth, the Rebirth Sword was a gold-grade weapon. Its impressiveness was not solely based on the skill Gate of Rebirth.

The additional attributes it gave one, combined with its sharpness, were astounding. Calling it a divine weapon would be befitting as well.

“I did not intend to offend you, professor. I just wish to help you start a wonderful career with me and create a true Heaven Virus that belongs to us solely.”

Chen Gou said sincerely, “I don’t need you to do much, nor do I require you to betray the Blood Umbrella Organization. You simply need to stay in this room quietly with me for two days. You can witness the process of you being transformed into an angel before choosing to believe in me.”

“Just two days?” Andric’s expression softened.

“Yes. If everything goes smoothly, we will not even need two days.” Chen Gou nodded his head lightly and promised.

“Alright then. I will wait for two days. I hope that you’re not lying to me.”

Andric was helpless. He could only agree to Chen Gou’s request in the face of this death threat.

No one would have expected that Chen Gou, who had passed a strict security check and whose magic was sealed, would be able to bring magical weapons inside.

When two days passed, Andric would naturally transform into a Strigoi and not an angel!

The bloodworms made changes to the host gradually. They started with the eyes, then the organs…

Furthermore, during this process, after the bloodworms invaded the brain, the host’s consciousness would weaken. Just like the act of boiling a frog slowly, their consciousness would gradually be replaced by the bloodworm.

Nothing could help them by the time they realized that something was amiss.

Someone would naturally come over to check on them since Chen Gou and Andric were staying in the office. However, each time, Chen Gou forced Andric to use the excuse of conducting an experiment to kick them out.

In the meantime, the duration of the Morph Skill ended and Chen Gou reverted to his own appearance. Andric was surprised but dared not ask any questions.

Exhausted, he fell into a slumber at night.

Then, the Master used his long-range Strigoi-controlling ability to sense the bloodworms inside Andric’s body and control the man’s consciousness.

The Master controlled Andric’s body and made him stand up and speak. “Do you want me to completely destroy his consciousness?”

“No, I still want to make use of his intelligence and knowledge to conduct research on the virus.” Chen Gou waved his hand.

Andric would become like the Master’s previous servant, Augustin, a high-level Strigoi whose consciousness was preserved.

Before long, the Master’s consciousness retreated and Andric slowly woke up.

His body had yet to completely transform into a Strigoi, but his soul no longer belonged to him.

“See, I didn’t lie to you, professor. You might have become a new species but you are still yourself.”

Chen Gou clapped Andric, who was still adjusting to his new body, on the shoulder. He pointed to the red bloodworm inside the lead box on the table and said seriously, “This bloodworm was indeed born from an angel’s body. It surely contains the angel gene!”

“In that case, I must study a transformation virus unlike anything anyone has seen before!”

Andric’s eyes burned with passion. He had already become a vampire but he still retained his passion for virus research.

“I will wait to hear your good news. I hope that you will get good results within two months.”

Chen Gou nodded his head in satisfaction, smiled, and said, “All the information about viruses that’s related to the experiment should be inside your computer. Open it and let me take a look at it.”

This was also why he had been willing to take the risk to convert Andric.

The viruses and medicine studied before in the Umbrella Corporation’s highest-level labs were countless.

Other than bloodline viruses, there were naturally other special kinds of medicine that could directly increase one’s attributes or activate one’s potential in a short time to significantly increase one’s combat strength.

Chen Gou had previously seen more than one such medicine among the items available for exchange using Merit Points.

Now, after controlling Andric, who was in charge of the lab, he could directly take them from the lab without spending a single Merit Point!
