While Qin Jinhuan was in a dilemma, Mu Yu, who was sound asleep, was awakened by a knock on the door. She tidied up, got off of the bed, and went to open the door, not knowing of the disaster that was awaiting her.
“Grandpa called for you. He wants to ask you about something!” Dong Wanqing said arrogantly.
Mu Yu yawned and answered, “What does he want to know?”
“You should have already known.”
Mu Yu was immediately wide awake. Has Qin Xiaozhi already found out about what happened yesterday?
Dong Wanqing saw Mu Yu’s expression changed. She gloatingly mocked, “Bad news travels fast. If you don’t want people to know about it, then don’t do it in the first place.”
“What are you blabbing to her about? Tell her to come down quickly!” Dong Yueyun’s cold and curt words came from behind Dong Wanqing.
“Yes Aunty,” Dong Wanqing turned to Mu Yu and urged her to hurry up. “Did you hear that? Hurry and go downstairs.”
She did not expect Dong Yueyun to be there too. Mu Yu knew that the situation was going to get worse, so she wanted to call Qin Jinhuan to ask for help. She made up an excuse and said, “I’m going to change my pyjamas first, then I’ll go downstairs.”
Before she closed the door, Dong Yueyun suddenly rushed over and held the door as she yelled at Dong Wanqing, “You fool, hurry up and take her downstairs! Are you waiting for her to ask for help from Huan?”
“Oh! O-Okay!” Dong Wanqing rushed forward and peered the door open. They both held Mu Yu on both sides.
“Let go! Let go of me!” Mu Yu was distraught as she struggled with all her might.
“Let you go? In your dreams!” Dong Yueyun snickered coldly and pinched her hard.
“Ouch! Get your hands off me!” Mu Yu was in pain as her hands were tightly held down. She used her leg to kick Dong Yueyun instead.
“You bitch! How dare you kick my aunt?! You’re going to pay for this!”
After being signalled by her aunt, Dong Wanqing, too, started to pinch Mu Yu hard, finally having the chance to vent the indignation she had suffered back then when she was with Mu Yu and Qin Jinhuan.
Mu Yu was flanked by ‘enemies’ on both of her sides. She was already lethargic from lack of sleep, and she was not good at fighting either. She felt wronged, annoyed and dissatisfied, yet she still used all of her strength to fight back despite being at an absolute disadvantage.
At this moment, Qin Chengxi ran up to the floor and rushed to tug at Dong Yueyun. “Mommy, sis, let’s just talk it out, please don’t fight!” Qin Chengxi said.
Dong Yueyun was delighted when she saw her son come over and she demanded, “Xi, hurry! Help mommy get this b*tch downstairs.”
Qin Chengxi did not help his mother; instead, he begged, while holding her hands that were clutching onto Mu Yu’s arm tightly, “Mommy, please don’t do this to sister-in-law. She…”
Dong Wanqing held out a hand to grab Qin Chengxi and asked, “Xi, whose side are you on right now?”
“Sis, aren’t we family? As a family we should be nice to one another. We shouldn’t…”
“Back off!” Dong Yueyun violently pushed Qin Chengxi to the side when she realized that he sided with Mu Yu.
“Ouch!” The fragile Qin Chengxi staggered a few steps back before falling on the floor, which he then sat in tears looking at his mother.
“Ah…”
Mu Yu tried to shake off the restraints and help Qin Chengxi, who was trying to help her, to get back up. But Dong Yueyun did not let this happen. She yelled at Qin Chengxi, calling him ‘useless’, and proceeded to drag Mu Yu to the living room downstairs with the help of Dong Wanqing.
The living room was already occupied by Qin Xiaozhi, Qin Wentao, and the twins at the moment. Not one servant was in sight, not even the butler whom Qin Xiaozhi trusted the most was there. This made Mu Yu, who planned to ask for their help, fall into despair.
Upon seeing Mu Yu looking around, Dong Yueyun knew what Mu Yu was thinking, and she snarled, “Even after doing something so shameful, you still have the audacity to ask Uncle Guang for help? You don’t mind being scandalous, but at the very least you should save some face for the Qin Family!”
Dong Wanqing mockingly replied, “She’s a typical bitch, aunty.”
“Enough!” Qin Xiaozhi bellowed, cutting off the two women. He turned his gaze toward Mu Yu and said sternly, “Explain how you are going to handle this scandal that just happened.”
Mu Yu felt extremely guilty. She took a few deep breaths and tried to calmly reply, “What did I do? All of you better set this straight, or even better, show me proof.”
She bet that they only heard rumors; she doubted that they had any proof.
“You think nobody knows about all the disgusting things you did?” Dong Yueyun snickered. She looked at Qin Xiaozhi and said, “Daddy, unless you show the video to her, she will never admit what she had done.”
Video?
Yi Yunzhe recorded a video yesterday?!
Mu Yu’s face instantly went pale.
No no, they must be bluffing!
Stay calm!
But in the next instant, Qin Xiaozhi started playing a video clip and showed it to Mu Yu. Her face turned white as ashes. The video of her falling into Yi Yunzhe’s embrace and being carried by him to a bed was played right in front of her.
“I can’t believe such a seemingly righteous person is so shameless in reality!” Dong Wanqing spat at Mu Yu.
Dong Yueyun disdainfully snarled, “If she still has dignity, she won’t be able to seduce Huan now, will she?”
Mu Yu automatically ignored what the pair of aunt and niece were saying. She hastily rushed over to Qin Xiaozhi and explained, “There’s some hidden agenda in this, Grandpa. It’s not what it looks like. Actually…”
Dong Wanqing interrupted, “Even up to this point, you’re still trying to deny it? Do you think Grandpa is blind?”
Dong Yueyun agreed. “Daddy, this wench is good with her sweet talks. You’re being deceived by her!”
Qin Wentao, who was silent the whole time, suddenly chimed in, “Daddy, it’s just a waste of time listening to this woman rambling. Let’s just use the Chastity Cane.”
“No! Mommy, Daddy, no!” Qin Chengxi, who had been standing at the side, suddenly ran and hugged Qin Wentao. As he started sobbing uncontrollably, he cried, “Grandpa, no! Please don’t use the cane on Mu Yu! She’ll die!”
“What are you doing, Xi? You’re in no position to weigh in on this, stay back!” Dong Yueyun angrily tugged at her son’s arm and led him to the side.
Qin Chengxi turned around and hugged his mother, begging. “Even if she really did something wrong, we could just throw her out of the house. You can’t take matters into your own hand. This is a modern society, and what you are doing is illegal! You’ll be punished by the law…”
Slap! Dong Yueyun threw a slap across Qin Chengxi’s face. She coldly instructed Qi Hao, “Take the Second Young Master back to his room.”
“Mommy!”
“Silence!” Dong Yueyun shoved her son toward Qi Hao. She had a cold, indifferent expression on her face, and did not even throw a second glance at Qin Chengxi.
While Dong Yueyun was disciplining Qin Chengxi, Mu Yu could already clearly see the Chastity Cane that Qin Wentao was talking about. The cane was as thick as the width of a small bowl, and it’s dark surface was smooth and shiny. With one look at it, one would already know it was an aged cane. She could have already guessed from how frantic Qin Chengxi was, that they were going to use the cane to teach her a lesson. She was instantly terrified. At that moment, Qin Xiaozhi spoke, “What are you doing just standing there? Are you using the Chastity Cane as a decor?” Qin Wentao quickly took the cane and came forth.

At that instant, Mu Yu thought of a way. She pointed at the study room and yelled, “Xi, what happened to you?”
Qin Wentao and Dong Yueyun instinctively turned their heads to look back, while Mu Yu took this opportunity and sprinted outside.
Dong Wanqing, who was the nearest to Mu Yu, had kept an eye on her and instantly stretched her hands out to tug Mu Yu. She screeched, “You’re not getting away!”
Qin Wentao and Dong Yueyun snapped out of it and followed suit. They screamed, “Stop her!”
Mu Yu finally got away from Dong Wanqing. She saw the brawly Qi Hao already blocking the path to the big gate. Knowing she wouldn’t be able to go through there, she turned around, and readily grabbed a flower pot by the side before tossing it at Qi Wentao. She then dashed over the sofa, ran up the stairs and hurriedly entered her room. She quickly locked the door, windows, and closed all the curtains. The biggest disadvantage for her currently, was that her room’s veranda was connected to Qin Xiaozhi’s. She must buy some time for herself.
She found her phone. While searching for the scalpel inside her bag, she called Qin Jinhuan’s number.
The call was soon picked up. Mu Yu started to yell for help before she could hear Qin Jinhuan’s voice. However, because the loud bangings on her door had drowned out the sounds coming from the phone, she couldn’t hear any response from Qin Jinhuan’s side. When she decided to rush into the bathroom to listen to Qin Jinhuan’s response, the door was already brutally knocked down. Her hands quivered and the phone fell on the floor. With a thud, the phone broke, and the screen instantly turned black.
Seeing how Mu Yu had lost her tool to ask for help, Dong Wanqing smiled menacingly while folding her sleeves up as she walked toward her.
“Don’t come near me! I’m a forensic doctor!” Mu Yu flashed her scalpel and warned Dong Wanqing. “See my sharp scalpel? I know exactly where to cut you to make you die instantly. Come here if you want to die!”
Dong Wanqing was terrified that she unconsciously took two steps back.
But Dong Yueyun did not back down. She turned around and ordered Qi Han, “Hurry up and take the scalpel away from her!”
“Yes!”
Before Qi Han was able to come forth, a slender silhouette rushed by him, and ran straight toward Mu Yu.
“Sister-in-law, put down your knife. Don’t hurt others. It’s illegal.”
It was Qin Chengxi.
Mu Yu instantly picked up the hint. She quickly grabbed Qin Chengxi and held the scalpel near his neck.
“Don’t hurt Xi!”
Qi Wentao and Dong Yueyun were horrified as they yelled simultaneously.
Even though the pair had always despised how feminine and vulnerable Qin Chengxi was, he was still their only son. He was the only trump card for them to fight for the family fortunes.
“Everyone back off!” Mu Yu held on to Qin Chengxi as though he was her get-out-of-jail free card, and her voice became even louder.
“Daddy! Mommy! Help me!” Qin Chengxi’s voice was quivering as he asked for help.
Dong Yueyun’s demeanor had already softened. Her eyes focused on Mu Yu’s scalpel this whole time, as she begged, “Miss Mu, your problem has nothing to do with Xi, nor does it have anything to do with us. Please let Xi go. We promise to not interfere with your business anymore. You and Grandpa can settle it among yourselves.”
“Yes of course, we won’t interfere. We won’t interfere with anything at all,” Qin Wentao said as he handed over the Chastity Cane to Qi Hao.
The couple already knew that their son was helping Mu Yu on purpose. But they did not have the guts to go forward and take him away from her by force. Right now, Mu Yu looked frantic and they did not want to agitate her even more, for fear that she might end up hurting Qin Chengxi for real. They did not want to bet on his life, for they could not afford to lose.
Mu Yu turned her gaze toward Qin Xiaozhi, who was standing by the door silently all along. She was waiting for him to give his command and let her go.
However, Qin Xiaozhi remained silent. He only looked at her coldly, making her feel intimidated. She was afraid that he might have seen through her. After all, she never thought of hurting Qin Chengxi, who had been helping her all along.
Both sides just stood there, frozen, until Qin Jinhuan arrived.
“What are you all doing?!”
“Huan! Save me!” Mu Yu was surprised and relieved. She let go of Qin Chengxi when Qin Jinhuan walked toward her, before sending a thankful gaze toward Qin Chengxi.
Qin Xiaozhi was surprised. He asked, “Was the Phoenix Gully project already signed for?”
Qin Jinhuan answered with much annoyance, “Saving lives is more important.”
Qin Wentao interrupted and warned him, “If something happened to the Phoenix Gully project, you’re going to be in big trouble.”
“You don’t have to worry, I already have it figured out. Now please get out of my room, you are not welcomed here!”
Seeing how confident Qin Jinhuan was, Qin Wentao was secretly dejected. He tried to explain, “Huan, we are helping you discipline this promiscuous woman. She and Yi Yunzhe…”
“Whatever she did wrong, it’s not your place to teach her a lesson. Now get lost.”
“Huan!”
“Scram!”
As soon as he said that, the phones belonging to Qin Jinhuan, Qin Wentao and Qin Xiaozhi, rang at the same time.
