Yi Yunzhe quickly apologized, as he deemed Mu Yu was upset from being disturbed. “I’m sorry. I can see that you look quite distressed, so I came over to ask if everything is okay. You’re Yihan’s little sister, and Yihan is my best friend, so I can’t just turn a blind eye if anything bad happens to you.”
He laughed awkwardly before continuing, “It was unmannerly of me, I hope you can forgive my action.”
Mu Yu got to her senses. She slightly tilted her body over, and wiped away her tears. She then turned toward him and shook her head. “I didn’t mean it that way, President Yi, so I hope you don’t misunderstand. I was just surprised to see you here. Shouldn’t you be back in the city with Yihan and the others?”
“Yihan needed to go back to the office to take care of some issues, so he left first. Are you… okay?”
“I’m fine.”
“You said you’re fine, but here you are, secretly crying alone. If Yihan knows about this, he will be so worried about you.”
“You must not let Yihan know about this, President Yi! I don’t want him to get worried.” Mu Yu was flustered as she tried to explain. “It was just a misunderstanding, President Yi, I wasn’t crying about something that happened to me. I was crying for a friend.”
“Oh, a friend of yours? Do they need any help”
“Nobody can help him.” Mu Yu sighed.
“Did he catch a disease, or did he get into serious trouble?”
“He got into serious trouble.
“Was it severely against the law?”
Mu Yu nodded.
“Do you mind telling me? I know some people from An City, so maybe I can be of some help?”
Mu Yu considered for a moment before she continued, “President Yi, if there was a woman around you who loves to twist the truth with gossip and irresponsible remarks—and was generally a malicious person to the point of harming others at their own expense just so they can humiliate and make others miserable—and one day, someone finally snapped and killed her, what would you think of the perpetrator?”
She actually did not plan to tell Yi Yunzhe too much, as she still took Qin Jinhuan’s warnings to heart. But she did let her guard down a little, as he shared a similar voice and kind demeanor as Xin Yihan. Plus, Yi Yunzhe seemed to really care about this matter, unlike Qin Jinhuan, who was indifferent about it. Furthermore, she also needed a listener who could help solve her dilemma, so she temporarily put Qin Jinhuan’s warning to the back of her head.
Yi Yunzhe held his thumb up after hearing what Mu Yu said. “Then that person is a righteous hero.”
Mu Yu was surprised to hear his replies. “You really think so?”
Yi Yunzhe’s tone turned calmer as he continued, “Definitely! But you can’t just do anything based on impulse, since the modern society is governed by law. Even if someone is trying to harm you, you are still not allowed to just act on your own accord. Instead, you should know how to use the law as a weapon to protect yourself. If you really killed someone, then you will have to bear the legal responsibility of it.”
“That’s true.” Mu Yu instantly felt discouraged.
“And yet, the law is rather humane. While it is indeed too extreme to just murder someone, I think it is also justifiable. I believe the court will definitely consider the whole situation, and perhaps give him a chance to start over.”
“I hope so too. Sigh…”
Seeing how she was still crestfallen, Yi Yunzhe continued his question, “Is what you’re telling a true story? You were crying just now because of this guy?”
Mu Yu sadly shook her head. “I just think it was too heartbreaking for him.”
“He is pitiful, but it was also foolish on his part for ruining the rest of his life and freedom just for some scum like that. It’s not worth it.”
“It was because he was pushed too far that he decided to use the most extreme method to handle the situation.”

Yi Yunzhe paused for a moment and continued, “A grave mistake has been made, so it’s useless to say anything anymore. The most that we can do right now, is to help him gain leniency of the judge to minimize his punishments. Tell me your friend’s name, and I’ll see what I can do to help him.”
“I heard his family is already going around asking people to help him sort things out, so you don’t have to. We might not be of much help if we decide to meddle in this matter.” Mu Yu quickly looked for an excuse to refuse.
She just wanted to find someone to rant to, as she wouldn’t dare to let Yi Yunzhe intervene in this matter. If Qin Jinhuan were to find out that she asked Yi Yunzhe for help, she might get into trouble with him.
“Owh. In that case, if you need any help from me, just give me a call”
“Definitely. Thank you, President Yi.”
Yi Yunzhe chuckled. “You are already thanking me even though I have yet to give you any help? You’re Yihan’s little sister, so if you have any problems, then they will be my problems too. And you don’t ever have to thank me if I were to help you. I’ve never needed to thank Yihan when he helps me.”
“Thank…” Mu Yu unconsciously expressed her gratitude again, but stopped as Yi Yunzhe adjusted his gaze to face her. She smiled, then lifted her wrist to look at her watch.
Yi Yunzhe smiled understandingly. “You should go back soon, or else President Qin might come and look for you.”
The mention of President Qin suddenly made Mu Yu gloomy, but she did not let it show. Even so, she went along and nodded, “It is getting late and I should get back to rest. You should go back and rest early too.”
“Yu!” Noticing how stunned she looked, Yi Yunzhe realized that he was too spontaneous, so he quickly explained, “Yihan always brings you up when he was with me, so I was used to hearing him calling you that. I hope you can forgive me.”
Mu Yu’s eyes suddenly lit up. “Yihan always talks about me when he’s with you? What did he say about me?”
“Like how sensible and clever, and how diligent and hardworking, and how kind and righteous you are. And he also mentioned that you are adorable and cute. He always sings praises of you.”
Mu Yu suddenly felt bashful. “I’m not actually that wonderful, am I? Yihan always praises me blindly.”
Her face blushed with excitement despite her words.
Yi Yunzhe smiled and said, “Yihan doesn’t praise other people that casually. And I too think that you’re a nice girl.”
“You’re flattering me, President Yi.”
“Enough with the formalities, it’s weird hearing you keep calling me President Yi. Since you’re Yihan’s little sister, and Yihan is as good as my brother, then there should not be any formalities between us. Since I’m used to Yihan calling you Yu, then why don’t you call my name just like how Yihan always does? It sounds more amicable. How about it?”
Mu Yu vaguely remembered how Yi Yunzhe suggested the same thing before. She didn’t have any reason to reject him now that he asked her again. He was a well known man in An City. He was speaking gently to her merely because she was acquainted with Yihan. She should be sensible about it.
Yi Yunzhe’s face glowed with joy as he saw that Mu Yu nodded in agreement.
Mu Yu did not understand why he was so happy. Since it was already late and she did not want to linger any longer, she pointed forward and said, “I’ll be leaving then.”
“Be careful on your way.”
“I will.”
Yi Yunzhe’s voice that was so similar to Xin Yihan gently echoed before Mu Yu could walk away any further. “There are many unfortunate things in this world, Yu. So forget all those and just focus on the fortunate ones. Be a happy and successful person.”
She was deeply moved as she turned around and thanked him again.
Yi Yunzhe smiled as he reminded her, “The route in front is a cobblestone path, and the lights are quite dim at night. It will be difficult for you to walk there wearing heels. You should take the road on the right. Even though the route is longer, at least the road is smooth and well lit.”
“Thank you.” Mu Yu praised his attentiveness in her heart, and continued to walk to the main road.
When she arrived at the main road, she unconsciously turned her head back, and she was surprised to see Yi Yunzhe still standing there, watching over her.
Yi Yunzhe waved his arm and exclaimed, “Hurry up and go back, and be careful.”
She waved back, and quickly walked toward the holiday villa without turning back.
She already had a good impression of Yi Yunzhe when she first met him. She never thought he would also be such an affectionate man.
She couldn’t understand why even though both of them were from a noble family, Yi Yunzhe was so considerate and righteous, but Qin Jinhuan was unreasonable and cold-hearted.
At the moment, Mu Yu was resentful toward Qin Jinhuan because of Yan Xiaobing’s case.

She realized the door wasn’t locked before she could knock on the door. Her slowly improving mood instantly went sour when she heard a faint music coming from within the room.
This fellow, he already knew she was angry when she left the room. Not only that he did not attempt to go out and find her, he even had the audacity to just stay in the room and enjoy his music. She became more agitated thinking about this.

She mumbled as she felt around to turn on the switch. The door was slammed shut with a loud BANG! before she could take a few steps forward. She was tackled by a dark figure, and was pinned to the door frame.”
“Argh! Who are you?! What are you trying to do?”
She shrieked and was muffled the next second. She struggled and kicked, but it was all in vain. The opponent was too strong, and they gripped her so tightly that she could not even move. But she quickly realized who it was from the familiar, impertinent kisses on her lips.
It’s that abominable Beast Qin!
