After the photographer was done in the studio, he gave Qin Nuan an OK sign with his hands with a pleased look on his face. “Miss Qin, we’re all done. Come over and take a look! Your photos are gorgeous!”
When Qin Nuan heard that, she picked up her dress, got up, and walked over to where the photographer was. Just as she was about to look down at the shots taken, Bai Weiwei squished herself in from nowhere.
“Miss Qin, your makeup today looks really lovely! No wonder you didn’t use the professional makeup artists hired by Hi earlier and chose to use your own instead. So you didn’t think that the Hi makeup artists were good enough.”
These words from her made everyone in the studio prick their ears up. They all looked at Qin Nuan, and their expressions became strange and hard to read.
The way Qin Nuan’s makeup was done was different from how the Hi makeup artists would do it. They were all very familiar with the style of the Hi makeup artists.
When Bai Weiwei saw their reactions, she quickly exclaimed and looked as though she was trying to make amends for saying the wrong thing. “Oh, dear! I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to say such things out loud. I just saw that since you didn’t think that the Hi makeup artists weren’t good enough, I was worried that you might think the Hi photographer isn’t good enough either, and that’s why I spoke up. Today’s photographer is the most senior among the photographers for Hi, and he’s really good at it. Look at how pretty you look in the photos he’s taken for you! Miss Qin, don’t be so picky anymore!”
After she finished saying this, even the photographer looked a little unhappy now.
Qin Nuan looked at how Bai Weiwei looked kind and considerate and felt her insides churn.
She couldn’t be bothered with someone who had such worrying levels of intelligence, but this woman insisted on provoking her again and again.
Qin Nuan scoffed coldly. “Bai Weiwei, someone like you really should be sent to the forest instead.”
“What do you mean by that? I don’t get it.” Bai Weiwei blinked her frail, pitiful, and innocent-looking large eyes.
Qin Nuan continued, “Let the gorillas in the forest slam your head a few times, then all the water in your head will come out.”
“You…”
Bai Weiwei’s face paled, and she looked even more upset and pitiful now. “Miss Qin, I was telling the truth. How could you scold me and insult me like this?”
“I really want to know which illegal factory made a bag like you. I can’t believe how fake you are.” Qin Nuan rolled her eyes and continued with a question, “Bai Weiwei, aren’t you the most aware of the reasons why a Hi makeup artist didn’t do my makeup?”
Everyone in the studio now turned to face Bai Weiwei. Was there something more to this?
Bai Weiwei pursed her lips. “I…How would I know why you don’t think the Hi makeup artists aren’t good enough?”
“Team Leader, we’re all waiting in the car for you. Why are you back here?”
A short-haired girl dressed in an androgynous fashion walked over. A look of frustration flashed in her eyes as she glanced at Bai Weiwei before she turned to look at everyone else in the studio.
She cleared her throat and explained, “This is what happened. The group came late to this photoshoot because we came from another promotional activity in the morning. Since we were in a hurry to get our makeup done, Miss Qin let us have the makeup artist assigned to her. She didn’t have anybody else to do her makeup for her, so she had to get her assistant to do it instead.”
After saying this, she even bowed towards Qin Nuan. “Miss Qin, I’m sorry for inconveniencing you.”
Qin Nuan looked down at the girl bowing towards her. Her features were smooth and bony, so she looked rather aloof. She was surprised that T-SIX actually had such a member among them. So they weren’t all catty idiots, after all.
So Qin Nuan smiled and replied, “It’s alright. Thanks for helping me clear up the misunderstanding.”
Once the misunderstanding had been cleared up, everyone in the studio now looked with great disdain at Bai Weiwei.
Bai Weiwei was so angry that she gnashed her teeth and hissed quietly, “He Xin, just you wait!”
She then stormed out and knocked into He Xin on purpose along the way.
When she walked past Qin Nuan, Qin Nuan held a hand out to stop her and smiled gently. “Miss Bai, let me give you a good suggestion. Go home, shake your head for a bit and have a good listen to the sound of the sea. Otherwise, you wouldn’t know what’s inside that head of yours.”
Bai Weiwei didn’t understand and just felt terribly embarrassed, so she just ran right out of the studio.
After she got into the car, Bai Weiwei finally realized that Qin Nuan implied that her head was full of nothing but water.
