My Koi Fish Wife - Chapter 28

Qin Yiling did not expect this man to still be calling out her nickname at this juncture.

She had absolutely no memory of her time-travel experience from when she was three years old. But he remembered. It had been fifteen years, not just a year or two. At the time, he couldn’t have been very old. He had probably been just a child.

But through these slow, long years, he still remembered their encounter, and he still remembered her. Regardless of what they had gone through together previously, she was moved by his devotion alone.

Hearing that sweet and gentle voice again, Yan Ze could vaguely feel that he wasn’t dreaming.

Was that her?

Was Duo Duo here?

He endured the pain in his body and tried to ignore the dizziness he felt as he struggled desperately to open his eyes.

Qin Yiling noticed the slight movement in Yan Ze’s eyes and exclaimed in surprise, “Yan Ze, it’s Duo Duo. Can you hear me?”

His eyelids lifted slowly. He wanted to see clearly that his Duo Duo had come, but his muddled brain made his vision blurry.

He could only faintly make out the silhouette of a woman with a small, oval-shaped face.

Yan Ze’s heart skipped a beat. His Duo Duo also had such a small, oval-shaped face and it was especially adorable. When she smiled, her eyes would curve into crescents.

“Duo Duo…”

Seeing him open his eyes, Qin Yiling said happily, “I’m here. How are you feeling?”

Yan Ze smiled feebly when he heard her reply. Was his Duo Duo really here?

Was this real, and not a dream?

Was his wait for her finally over?

If this was only a dream, then he hoped that he would never wake from it.

Yan Ze really wanted to say something to her, but he felt drowsy and was losing his consciousness, gradually closing his eyes until he passed out completely.

Just a moment ago, Qin Yiling had been feeling overjoyed but now, the man’s eyes were closed again. His head slumped to the side as he fainted.

“Yan Ze! Yan Ze!” She panicked and cried out several times, but he did not respond at all. Looking at his condition, he must have slipped into a coma.

She surveyed the area around her. After getting a clear view of the surrounding terrains, she tossed her luggage onto a pile of grass. Then, she exerted all of her strength to pull Yan Ze by his clothes, dragging him from the ravine onto the grass in a corner.

He had wounds on his body. If he soaked in the water for too long, he would definitely suffer from infections. By then, even a small injury would become a big problem.

She wiped the sweat off her forehead. Although she was strong, it was still exhausting for her to drag a brawny man like him, with a height of around 1.8 meters.

Looking at his clothes which were completely soaked through, she quickly took them off. These clothes were wet as they were drenched in blood, so keeping them on might cause him to catch a cold instead.

She didn’t feel embarrassed or uncomfortable at all. After all, he was destined for her! She only stopped herself when he was left with only a pair of boxers.

Next, she used her Swiss Army knife to gather a large pile of withered grass and proceeded to spread it across the grass patch. She then rolled Yan Ze over, getting him to lie on the withered grass. It was at least better than lying on damp grass.

He needed to keep warm! Immediately, she took out some of her packed clothes and put them all on him. He definitely wouldn’t fit into her clothes, so she could only cover him with them.

Still, she had to start a fire as soon as possible! Even a healthy person like her needed warmth, let alone an injured person..
