“You are talking about An Ge’er! That’s impossible.”
An Ge’er was so kind-hearted; she wouldn’t have done something like this.
An Ruxue became jealous when she saw his trust in An Ge’er. She clenched her teeth. “Of course you would believe her. She has always pretended to be innocent, naive, smart, and obedient in front of you. Qin Mo, don’t you know that she likes you? She treated me like this simply because I am too close to you.”
Qin Mo frowned and got up. “Since that’s the case, why didn’t you explain to her properly?”
Covered in his clothes, she looked at him with reddened eyes. “Qin Mo… because I like you too.”
Qin Mo was stunned.
“Just because I also like you. Little Sis had done this because she saw the two of us getting closer and closer. She wants to destroy my reputation and make you hate me so that I can no longer get close to you.”
“Utter nonsense. You don’t understand An Ge’er at all. She wouldn’t have done something like this.” Qin Mo was obviously a little angry, a cold expression forming on his face.
An Ruxue also stood up shakily and said to him with a pale face, “No, Qin Mo, you are wrong. You don’t understand women. Love can change everything. If you don’t believe me, go and ask An Ge’er if she had anything to do with this!”
“That’s enough. I will handle the rest of this incident. But regarding An Ge’er, I hope you can stop here. She isn’t the kind of person you think she is.”
Qin Mo had intended to turn and leave, but An Ruxue seemed to be about to faint; thus, he had to carry her and go together. She leaned into his chest and said in a pitiful tone, “Qin Mo… do you know why I am trying so hard to be a movie star? Why am I trying so hard to better myself? All this is for you…”
Qin Mo’s expression changed slightly. An Ruxue held onto his lapels and sobbed. “I only want to make myself worthy of you…”
After An Ruxue’s video clip was exposed, An Ge’er asked Fu Jiu about the incident. Fu Jiu simply shrugged and told her everything honestly.
An Ge’er’s heart dropped. She couldn’t tell if she felt happy or not.
Forget it. An Ruxue deserved all of this. If she wasn’t that kind of person in the past, nobody could have had a handle on her.
An Ruxue getting into trouble had diluted negative news about her. This was one of her motives. The entertainment industry was always short of new topics, so she needed to divert everybody’s attention.

It was a few days after An Ruxue got into trouble when An Ge’er received Qin Mo’s call.
Qin Mo’s voice sounded so low and hoarse that she almost couldn’t recognize him.
She asked how he was doing, but he didn’t answer her. He asked about her recent situation casually. As the two of them chatted, An Ge’er mustered up her courage to ask him why he hadn’t bothered to explain about their picture. Just as she was about to open her mouth, she heard him ask after hesitating for a moment, “Tell me, An Ge’er. Do you have anything to do… with your sister’s scandal?”
An Ge’er felt her breathing constrict. Her eyelashes trembled, and the words she had intended to say were stuck in her throat.
She finally understood why he had made this call now. But, this knowledge made her feel utterly ridiculous and funny.
“So, Brother Qin Mo, what do you think of it?” she said lightly.
