My Dear Mr. Gu - Chapter 57

“I’m going to tell my big brother. I’m going to tell him right now. Wei Yankang, if you betrayed me, there’s no way my brother will let you get away with it,” Gu Jiaoxue warned him.

Huo Weiwu lowered her eyes.

She thought, “If Gu Haoting finds out that I was with Wei Yankang at all, I’m afraid that there’s no way I’ll be able to clear my name even though I rejected his advances.”

Her only option was to adopt a dangerous strategy.

“Wei Yankang, choose between me and Gu Jiaoxue. Give us a clear answer. If you choose her, never look for me again. Otherwise, I’ll inform your wife straightaway,” said Huo Weiwu coldly.

She decided to put a full stop to her relationship with Wei Yankang.

Wei Yankang gazed at Huo Weiwu with his deep dark eyes as he hesitated, clearly indecisive. He was sizing up the situation.

Gu Jiaoxue stood in front Wei Yankang and blocked his view of Huo Weiwu. Gu Jiaoxue reminded him, “Kang, tell this fickle sl*t who is it that you want to be with. I don’t want this sl*t to continue harassing you.”

“Sl*t, who are you calling a sl*t?” asked Huo Weiwu angrily.

“I’m calling you that, you sl*t,” Gu Jiaoxue blurted.

The moment those words left her mouth, she immediately realized that she had fallen into Huo Weiwu’s trap. She instantly flew into a rage out of humiliation.

“Huo Weiwu, who do you think you are? My brother only agreed to marry you so that he can torture you to death. You’re just a nobody with no job and no background. What gives you the right to marry into the Gu family?” Gu Jiaoxue scolded her.

Huo Weiwu quirked her lips into a beautiful but aloof smile. She crossed her arms lazily and said calmly, “You gave me the right by being pigheaded. Thank you for kidnapping me and giving me the opportunity to become your older sister-in-law. A military wedding cannot end in divorce. When I give birth to your brother’s son and ascend in status, who do you think your brother will leave Gu Enterprise to? Will it be to his younger sister or his own son?”

“Huo Weiwu, you’re shameless,” declared Gu Jiaoxue as she stomped her foot. “I’m going to tell my brother about you seducing Kang. I’ll ask him not to marry you.”

“She seduced your fiancé? How did this happen?” A bone-chilling voice rang out. The moment it was heard, the entire room grew a few degrees colder.

Huo Weiwu looked at the door. Gu Haoting was holding a file in his hands. He was still wearing the same suit as before which outlined his strong muscles and made him look stylish.

However, the look in his eyes was poisonous enough to draw blood and seal the throat of whoever he was gazing at.

Huo Weiwu’s heart thumped.

She thought, “I failed to check the horoscope before leaving my house today. My relationship with Gu Haoting had finally grown a bit more intimate, but now I’m doomed.”

“Big brother,” Gu Jiaoxue called out indignantly. She ran to Gu Haoting and complained, “Huo Weiwu tried to seduce Kang. She tricked Kang into coming here.”

“Why did you trick him into coming here?” asked Gu Haoting coldly as his penetrating gaze locked on Huo Weiwu.

Huo Weiwu frowned slightly, her brain working rapidly.

She thought, “If I say that it was Wei Yankang who came here on his own accord, Gu Jiaoxue will not believe that. I’m sure she’ll kick up a big fuss, and I’m not sure if Gu Haoting will believe it either.”

“I promised you that I would have nothing to do with him from now on. He left some of his stuff at my apartment, so I asked him to come and take it away,” Huo Weiwu found an excuse to explain herself.

“You’re lying. I saw you forcefully kissing Kang, you shameless sl*t,” said Gu Jiaoxue. With Gu Haoting here to back her up, she had grown even more arrogant.

Gu Haoting’s eyes shone murderously. The volume of his voice dipped as he interrogated her, “You kissed him?”

Huo Weiwu’s eyes flickered as she glanced at Wei Yankang.

She wondered to herself, “If I say that Wei Yankang was the one who forcefully kissed me, will Gu Haoting believe that?”
