My Dear Mr. Gu - Chapter 53

Gu Haoting’s deep eyes met her furious gaze.

There appeared to be a tiny universe in her eyes that was completely on fire.

Gu Haoting frowned. A nearly imperceptible trace of vexation surfaced in his gaze.

He flung her hand aside and stood up in a dignified manner. “I said I’ll wait ten more days. Take care of your own body.”

Huo Weiwu stared incredulously at his handsome side-profile.

She thought, “I could have helped him orgasm—isn’t that what he wanted?

“Or, is he just toying with me? After all, he is a man who can get any woman that he wants. He does not need me, a woman whom he hates.”

“About Yanzi…” Huo Weiwu started asking but was interrupted before she could finish.

Gu Haoting fixed his deep gaze on her. It felt like there was a whirlpool in his eyes ready to suck her in.

Huo Weiwu fell silent.

She was afraid that the more she said, the more mistakes would be made.

Gu Haoting handed her a bag. With an expressionless face, he commanded, “Here are your clothes. You can change back into them. As for my clothes, you can just discard them.”

A strange feeling bloomed in Huo Weiwu’s heart.

She thought, “Is he making fun of the clothes that I’ve worn before?!”

Her unhappiness stemmed not from her wanting him to wear the clothes that she had worn before, but the fact that he was acting superior and walking all over her.

She did not like to feel lesser.

Huo Weiwu took the bag and looked inside. The bag contained a purple and white Chanel cheongsam, as well as a set of underwear.

“Thanks,” said Huo Weiwu coldly.

Gu Haoting was not fond of her tone. His face grew tense as he adjusted his clothes before walking toward the door.

Huo Weiwu suddenly recalled something important. She grabbed his arm and reminded him, “About Yanzi—you promised me that you’d give me half an hour.”

“It’s okay. I will get back what you owe me plus interest in ten days. However, I will not tolerate this happening a second time. If it does, her punishment will be a lot more severe than just going to prison. Do as you deem fit,” Gu Haoting warned her.

Huo Weiwu could separate her gratitude and resentment, the former feeling stemming from him unexpectedly sparing Yanzi. She glanced at the food on the cart and in a slightly gentler tone, asked, “Aren’t you going to eat something before you leave?”

“Since you didn’t cook it, there’s no point eating it. You owe me two meals. I’ll keep that on my tab,” declared Gu Haoting before he opened the door and strode out.

Huo Weiwu continued sitting on the couch. She thought, “Should I celebrate the fact that Gu Haoting showed some mercy?”

The sound of a helicopter taking off could be heard overhead. It was as powerful as the impression that Gu Haoting gave everyone, and people had no choice but to bear with it.

The sound of the helicopter gradually grew further and further away. Gu Haoting had left.

It was only then that Huo Weiwu sighed in relief.

She thought, “The day is finally over.

“I think ten days is enough time to let my hymen recover, isn’t it?

“I’m hungry!

“I need to fill my stomach to have enough energy to continue fighting the war.”

Huo Weiwu picked up a pair of chopsticks and lifted some noodles. She twirled them repeatedly until they had formed a bundle that she could fit into her mouth.

There was a knock on her door.

Feeling doubtful, Huo Weiwu walked to the door and looked through the peephole. It was Lieutenant Shang.

Her eyelids drooped. She did not open the door and instead frowned while asking defensively, “Lieutenant, is anything the matter?”

Lieutenant Shang nodded and replied respectfully, “The Commander has ordered me to send Madam home once you are done eating and changing into your clothes.”

“I got it,” replied Huo Weiwu, vexed.

She thought, “Gu Haoting is still depriving me of my freedom.”

In the car.

Huo Weiwu leaned against the back of the chair and shut her eyes, pretending to rest.

Lieutenant Shang glanced at Huo Weiwu and smiled. “I’ve not seen anyone offend the Commander and still manage to get away with it and continue living their life peacefully. Madam, you are the first.”

Huo Weiwu did not even open her eyes. In a sinister tone, she said, “I’m extremely honored.”

“Madam, if you visit the Commander’s military base, I’m sure that you will fall in love with him,” said Lieutenant Shang meaningfully.

Huo Weiwu opened her eyes. There was a crafty glint in them as she glanced at Lieutenant Shang and smiled ambiguously. She asked, “Are you in love with him?”

“Madam, do you want to know what the Commander’s weak point is?” asked Lieutenant Shang, leaping above his boundaries.
