“What true colors?” asked Ye Yunji.
“Haven’t you already seen my true colors?” asked Gu Fenghua calmly after she glanced at Ye Yunji.
A lot of memories seemed to rise in Ye Yunji’s mind before he went quiet. No matter what Gu Fenghua was like, he liked her. However, he could not say it. At least not for now.
Ambrosia’s food certainly lived up to its name. Their delectable novel dishes made Gu Fenghua’s impression of Ye Yunji improve a lot.
“Mr Ye. Perhaps I should call you Your Highness? It was so kind of you to take us out for dinner,” said Gu Fenghua to Ye Yunji after she sampled some tender meat.
“Just call me Yunji.” Ye Yunji immediately added when he caught sight of Gu Fenghua’s slight frown, “We are friends now. I often take my friends for dinner here.”
“Sure. Yunji, you are so nice.” Gu Fenghua swallowed the words that were about to come out of her mouth and changed her words without batting an eye.
“Uh huh. Yunji, you are such a kind soul. An absolutely kind soul.” Luo Enen beamed as she ate. Since she was not local, she had never sampled such fine food before. She was naturally so delighted by this spread that she felt as though she was flying.
“Yunji, you certainly live up to your name as the most gorgeous man on earth,” said Jun Lansheng as he ate some pork ribs.
“Huh?” Ye Yunji was at a loss. He could not wrap his mind around what Jun Lansheng had just said.
“Tsk. Have they lost all integrity just because of the food?” Little White Flower spoke contemptuously of them in Gu Fenghua’s mind before it promptly said to Gu Fenghua sweetly, “Mistress, I want a bite too. Can you give me a bite? Will you feed me? You’re the best.”
Gu Fenghua pulled Little White Flower expressionlessly from her hair and tossed it onto the chair beside her. “Feed yourself!”
“Boohoo. Don’t you love me anymore? Why won’t you feed me?” Little White Flower pretended to cry briefly before swiftly reaching its vines out without wasting any time. It picked up a pair of chopsticks and promptly started to eat. If it continued whining, all the food would disappear!
Ye Yunji’s chopsticks froze in midair.
He watched in surprise at Gu Fenghua, Luo Enen, and Jun Lansheng’s speed. Also, he was amazed to see the demon plant frantically eating on its own using a pair of chopsticks at the same speed as Gu Fenghua and the others.
Most of the dishes on the table had already been wiped out amid his shock!
“Yunji, have some. Don’t just sit around without eating,” reminded Jun Lansheng when he saw Ye Yunji watching in surprise.
“Uh huh. Of course.” Ye Yunji nodded. He reached his chopsticks out for some sweet and sour pork ribs, but before they came close enough, another pair of chopsticks zoomed over and took the piece of meat altogether.
Ye Yunji promptly raised his head to see Luo Enen putting the pork rips into her mouth. Luo Enen smiled when she saw Ye Yunji looking and said, “Go on. Don’t be shy. After all, dinner is on you.”
Ye Yunji was at a loss. He reached for the spicy chicken, but another pair of chopsticks swiftly picked up the meat he was aiming for and took off with it.
He raised his head in surprise to see Jun Lansheng looking at him innocently before putting the chicken into his mouth.
“Precisely. Yunji, eat up. Don’t be shy,” said Jun Lansheng with a straight face.
Little White Flower quickly ate with its chopsticks as it placed food on Gu Fenghua’s plate ingratiatingly. Ye Yunji’s chopsticks paused in mid-air over a dish. Just as he was about to take some, five vines came from Little White Flower as it picked up five pairs of chopsticks and swiped all the food from the plate. It gave Gu Fenghua three pieces and saved the rest for itself.
“Yunji, don’t be shy. Eat up.” Gu Fenghua smiled gently as she ate the food Little White Flower had sycophantically placed on her plate with a straight face. She disregarded the now empty plate that Ye Yunji’s chopsticks were hovering over.
He had no intention of being shy. He wanted to eat as well. If only they would give him a chance. A sense of sadness suddenly rose in his heart. Ye Yunji felt somewhat tragic.
After dinner, Ye Yunji felt a little sad. He was still hungry.
Since Gu Fenghua was in a good mood, she suggested, “Yunji, shall we go to the night market in school and have a snack. You didn’t eat much.”
“Okay.” Ye Yunji was at first stunned to hear this before a smile emerged on his face. He was gorgeous, so he garnered attention everywhere he went. The moment Ye Yunji smiled, all the young ladies around them could not help turning to look.
After they got back to campus, Gu Fenghua treated Ye Yunji to two bowls of cold noodles. It was the first time Ye Yunji had ever eaten this.
“Tastes great.” Ye Yunji was surprised by how good it tasted when he ate the second bowl.
Gu Fenghua said to herself that everything tasted great purely because he was famished.
“Oh yes. Have you taken care of everything?” asked Gu Fenghua inadvertently.
“It’s all settled. Thanks for asking.” A serious look swept across Ye Yunji’s face as he spoke.
“Mistress, what are you talking about?” Little White Flower could not help asking Gu Fenghua in her head. Luo Enen and Jun Lansheng were so engrossed with their cold noodles that they did not hear Gu Fenghua and Ye Yunji’s conversation.
“Have you forgotten how he was assassinated?” replied Gu Fenghua.
“Oh yes. I wonder who tried to assassinate him.” Little White Flower swiftly caught on.

Ye Yunji became a lot closer to Gu Fenghua and her friends thanks to this dinner.
After they arrived at the campus, they said goodnight to each other.
“Fenghua, tell me ahead of time when you want to eat at Ambrosia again,” said Ye Yunji as he smiled.
“Okay. Thanks for dinner, Yunji. You are so nice. We must buy you dinner sometime too.” Gu Fenghua generously said Ye Yunji was nice.
Ye Yunji nodded in agreement. He felt something amiss about what she said, but he could not put his finger on it. He had no clue what it meant to be friend-zoned for now. He started to use the same trick after he eventually learned what it meant. Naturally, that was a story for the future.
They headed back to their hostels after parting ways.
Ye Yunji had personal quarters on campus. Such accommodations were rare, so those who could stay there must have high status, great talent, and contributed to the nation greatly.
After Ye Yunji returned to his empty personal quarters, he stood in the corridor quietly as he raised his head to look at the night sky and moon. The soft light of the moon quietly scattered throughout the quarters and added a soft glow to Ye Yunji’s gorgeous face. He veered his eyes and they turned cold gradually.
It was time to take care of those people who wanted him dead.
