My brother is an Idol - Chapter 74

Chapter 74

Jiwoo slowly turned around to face Hyojun, who looked furious. Jiwoo stammered, “H-hey man… y-you look like you want to stab me to death. Hyojun, calm down. I will explain everything.”

“You better have a damn good explanation.”

“Well… umm… the thing is…”

“RIGHT NOW.”

Hyojun continued to stare at Jiwoo without blinking. After a few seconds of hesitation, Jiwoo started to explain. He told the guys that at first he planned to tell Mikyung the truth, that he was a member of The M. But when Mikyung incorrectly guessed Jiwoo to be The M’s manager, he just went with it.

Hyojun, Kiwook, and Hyunsuk stared at him. Hyojun murmured, “You… were going to tell her that you are Red M?”

Kiwook said as well, “So, I heard it right then. Jiwoo did just say he was going to tell her the truth.”

Hyunsuk added in shock, “So… Jiwoo was going to tell Mikyung the truth but she assumed wrong and that was the only reason why he didn’t tell her…?”

When the guys surrounded him and talked as if he wasn’t there, Jiwoo stuttered, “B-but… what I did was…”

“You ruined everything.”

“That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard anybody do.”

“Hyojun should beat you up too, Jiwoo.”

When no one took his side, Jiwoo looked down and murmured to himself sadly, “Phew… what the… this isn’t how I thought you guys would react.”

Just then, Hyoyoung returned home. She looked grim.

“I’m hom…”

“You, come over here, right now.”

Hyojun quickly grabbed her arm, while Kiwook intercepted by grabbing his arm.

“Hyojun, you can talk to me. Leave Hyoyoung alone.”

Hyojun glared at Kiwook and replied, “Let go of me.”

“Just talk to me, Hyojun. Hyoyoung didn’t do anything wrong. She just followed me without knowing…”

“And that is why she needs to be reprimanded. She can’t just follow anyone just because she is asked to. She should’ve known better.”

“Hyojun…”

“Kiwook, let go of me. Do you want me to punch you again?”

Hyoyoung looked at Hyojun with sudden anger. She asked, “You hit Kiwook Oppa?”

“Yes, I did! Of course, I did! I’m your older brother and it is my right and my duty to… AHHHHH!”

Hyojun suddenly screamed in pain. It was because Hyoyoung was biting his arm like she was a police dog. Hyojun looked down at her in fear and waved his arm to get her off, but Hyoyoung wouldn’t let it go.

After a few seconds, she finally let Hyojun’s arm go. The other members stared in shock with their mouths agape.

Hyojun rubbed his arm and glared at Hyoyoung, who didn’t back down either. She yelled at him, “Peace for peace! Violence for violence!”

“Hey! How could you bite your own brother!”

“Why can’t I, you jerk!”

“What? Show some respect for your brother!”

“The moment you used violence in this house, you have given up your right as an older brother! At this point, we are equals, and I will fight you if necessary.”

“W… what?”

“How dare you use violence in our own home? When you threw down those plates in anger a few days ago, I let it go, but this time, it’s just wrong!”

“How dare you! I should be the one getting angry at you, not the other way around.”

“You are wrong, Oppa. I should be the one who should be angry.”

“What the?!”

“Did I physically hurt someone?”

“What?”

“Did I make someone sick?”

“What are you talking about, Hyoyoung?”

“Oppa, I am old enough to know what is right and wrong. I acted according to what I thought was right, and I don’t believe I have done anything I should be ashamed of. But you, Oppa, did. You know, just as anyone, that violence is wrong, yet you did it anyway. You were wrong!”

“…”

“You think one violent act is okay, but that is how it all starts. Once becomes twice, and then suddenly, you think violence can be applied everywhere. Who knows? Maybe you’ll become violent with your own girlfriend. Maybe you won’t be able to control yourself. Date violence and family violence… in a way, I am saving you from becoming a criminal.”

“You!”

“You have a problem and it needs to be fixed right now. I will teach you a lesson that you will never forget.”

Hyoyoung walked into her room and the four guys stood around in shock. Suddenly, Jiwoo said to Hyojun, “Hey… you are bleeding, Hyojun.”

Hyojun looked down on his arm and indeed, there were teeth-marks and it was bleeding.

Hyunsuk added, “If you pour ink on it right now… you will get a free tattoo.”

Hyojun screamed, “What the hell are you talking about?!”

Ignoring Hyojun, Hyunsuk continued. “Hyoyoung saved both Kiwook and Jiwoo just now. She is so amazing.”

Hyojun shook his head, “You guys are no help.”

Jiwoo offered, “Hey Hyojun, I will put some medicine on your arm for you.”

Jiwoo felt much better, thanks to Hyoyoung. He was expecting to be beaten by Hyojun, but because of her, it seemed like he was off the hook.

Kiwook was rubbing his stomach and was about to go to his room when Hyunsuk asked, “Kiwook, we need to talk.”

“I’m still in pain and I need sleep… I’m tired, Hyunsuk. I didn’t get any sleep last night. Can I just get a two-hour nap before we talk?”

“Why didn’t you get any sleep last night? Did you…”

“No, man. Come on, I’m not that irresponsible.”

“Thank god.”

“I just had a lot to think about last night, that’s all.”

“Hmm…”

“Come on, please believe me.”

“Fine, fine. I will let you sleep, but we need to talk first, It won’t take long. I think you should know about this.”

“What is it?”

“I think President Shim is only suspecting you to be from his old agency.”

“Just me? Not Hyojun too?”

“Yes. Hyojun lost a lot of weight since then, right? And the way he dances and sings have changed too. I checked with my spies… and it seems that you are President Shim’s target.”
