Multiverse’s End - Chapter 45

Vroooom!

Luo Su drove along the deserted highway, the big-breasted girl on his backseat. The speed of the motorcycle and the stinging sand and dust forced the girl to hug Luo Su’s waist and press her face against his back.

It had to be said that the young women of America were truly bold!

In this wasteland with no towns or stores in the vicinity, not even an occasional driver, the big-breasted girl wasn’t worried about Luo Su harboring ill intentions.

In more impolite terms, if Luo Su wanted to do something, like bring this big-breasted girl back home to…ahem, have a cup of tea with her, there would be no problems at all.

Everyone said that big breasts meant no brains, but Luo Su emphasized a person’s inner qualities and wouldn’t pass judgment on a girl’s intelligence just from her appearance. He determined that this big-breasted girl was so lacking in vigilance around him because she might know him.

With this thought in mind, Luo Su decided to get some information from her, so he first twisted on the handle to somewhat accelerate and then braked a little.

Accelerate…brake…accelerate…brake…accelerate…

“…”

Can you not be so brazen about it?

Sensing Luo Su’s bad intentions, the big-breasted girl clenched her teeth in anger and placed a hand on Luo Su’s waist.

Twist!

Ssst!!

“Luo Su, what the hell are you doing?”

They really did know each other!

Luo Su seriously replied, “I’m thinking about where your home is. To tell the truth, I can’t quite remember.”

“Heh, did you lose your memory, or do you think I find this sort of sick joke amusing?”

“I didn’t lose my memory! I really forgot! Listen to me! I’m serious! Where’s your home?”

“Please, you’re just dropping off a girl while on the way home! We live in the same town, and while we might not be in the same class, we still bump into each other at school. Can’t you be a little more generous? Girls don’t like someone who acts as petty as you do.”

“Fine, you’re right! Then…where’s our town?”

“Are you joking with me?”

“No! I just feel that if I actually knew such a beautiful girl, I would remember her as I had just met her yesterday, but I can’t even remember your name.”

Women had essentially zero resistance to such flattery, and the big-breasted girl was no exception. Chuckling, she asked, “Why’d you say that? You like me?”

“Of course! Beautiful girl, I like you. My name is Luo Su. Do I have the honor of knowing your name?”

“Fine, it’s our first meeting. I’m Ashley, Ashley Parker!”

“Ashley Parker…what a great name. I’d dare say that you have a brother called Peter.”

“I do have a little brother, but he’s called Mike, not Peter Parker, though he does like spiders.” Ashley sighed. “Can we not talk about this? I hate Mike, and I hate spiders!”

“That’s fine. Let’s change topics. Beautiful and generous Miss Ashley, where do you live?”

“God! Do we have to be so open with each other on our first meeting?”

“Of course. We’ve just gotten to know each other. If I didn’t ask this and already knew where you lived, wouldn’t I be a pervert?”

Ashley was speechless. “You’re right. That’s very reasonable.”

With Ashley’s directions, Luo Su quickly found the direction to Prosperity and successfully sent her home. Luo Su hadn’t gotten a look at her face earlier, but when Ashley finally got off, he realized that her face was extremely familiar. Her golden hair, blue eyes, white skin, and seductive lips were extremely recognizable…the gorgeous Black Widow from Marvel movies!

Luo Su remarked to himself that he had been completely right. The street racing competition really did have a clue to triggering the World Mission, with the ‘Black Widow’ Scarlett Johansson being proof.

After all, she was one of the top female actresses in Hollywood. Even if she wasn’t yet the main character at the age of seventeen or eighteen, she was definitely linked to the plot in some way. This definitely wasn’t a Marvel movie, as Black Widow was still too young. This should have been a movie from earlier in her career.

This was a clue worth pursuing!

Ashley had no idea what Luo Su was thinking, and being stared at so openly made her heart race. Pushing a strand of golden hair behind her ear, she asked with deliberate indifference, “Luo Su, your driving skills aren’t that bad. I thought that the first place today would be Bret.”

Luo Su recalled his previous conversations and unconsciously blurted out, “That playboy?”

“Yes, he specially invited me to watch the race, saying that his own driving skills were incredible and that he had a one hundred percent chance of getting first.”

Luo Su came back to his senses and chuckled. “Then haven’t I ruined his plans? He didn’t get first, and he didn’t get a chance to send you home.”

Ashley rolled her eyes. “But it’s a good thing for me. When that guy heard the police were coming, he ran faster than anyone else. If you weren’t there, I don’t know how I would have ended up.”

“You didn’t take part in the race. You were only a spectator. The police would just criticize you at most, but they wouldn’t do anything to you.”

Luo Su didn’t feel sorry that he had ruined someone’s plan. He continued to chat with Ashley from his motorcycle, and as he did, he could sense that this girl had a good impression of him. In this world, he probably had a relationship with ordinary classmates with Ashley, probably just saying hi to each other if they met. They were acquaintances, not friends, but getting first in today’s race had caught the girl’s attention.

It was no wonder young men so passionately engaged in extreme sports. By exhibiting their prowess, they could easily attract the eyes and favor of the opposite sex!

“No, don’t forget that my mother is the town’s sheriff. If she knew that I went to watch a street race, I would be under house arrest for my entire vacation, an absolute disaster.” As if recalling some gruesome disaster, Ashley sighed. “She’s always so forceful. I’m already an adult. She doesn’t have the right to restrict my freedom.”

Luo Su didn’t really hear the rest of her words. When Ashley mentioned that her mother was the town sheriff, he suddenly realized what the movie was.

Eight Legged Freaks!

A science-fiction/comedy horror film. The monsters in the movie were giant mutated spiders. They were extremely aggressive, treated humans as prey, and were numerous, satisfying various ideas humans had about monsters.

In this movie, Black Widow was a side character, the daughter of the female sheriff. As for the main character…Luo Su recalled that it was some scruffy man.

He had only a very vague idea about the plot. Luo Su couldn’t be blamed for this, as this movie was quite an old one. If not for the fact that it starred the 18-year-old Black Widow, he would have never even known it existed.

Eight Legged Freaks had rather decent special effects, top-class for the time, and even now, it could crush the monster flicks produced domestically in China. But the plot was an absolute mess of logic. Luo Su had only been able to watch to an end entirely because of the female main character’s looks.

“Hey! Luo Su! Are you listening to me?”

Coming to his senses, Luo Su saw Ashley staring angrily at him, her arms hugging her chest.

Rebellious girls were all like this, but they were only problematic on the surface and were actually quite easy to get along with. Luo Su raised an eyebrow and replied, “You’ve misunderstood. I was thinking about something very important.”

“Hmph!”

“I wanted to invite you out to dinner and a movie, but I was worried that you would refuse, so I didn’t know what to say!”

The coldness on Ashley’s face instantly evaporated. Resisting the urge to jump up in joy, she blushed and asked, “When you said you liked me, were you serious?”

“Of course. I’m already in the process putting it into effect.”

Ashley played with her hair, pursed her lips, and then took out a pen and paper from her bag. She wrote some numbers on the paper and handed it to Luo Su. “This is my phone number. If you can call me, I can consider accompanying you to a movie.”

Luo Su smiled and took the paper. There were only five numbers to this phone number, but American phone numbers should have had seven digits, ten digits if you counted the area code.

It was obvious that the girl was testing her.

After sending Ashley home, Luo Su stuffed the paper into his pocket and drove the motorcycle to a phone booth.

Was it true that the IQ of a girl in love dropped to zero? This test was a freebie. The phonebook in the phone booth recorded the telephone numbers of every home in town, and it was easy to find the right number just by going down the alphabet.

“Should I call right now or let her be for one night…”

Luo Su stroked his chin, and in the end, he decided to let Ashley sit for one night. Firstly, this was to display his sincerity, showing that he had to call many numbers until he got the correct one. Secondly, after tossing and turning for one night, Ashley was certain to be very unhappy. Once he called to explain, he could instantly dispel her negative emotions and deepen her good impression of him.

“It’s not that great for me to do this. After all, she’s still only an 18-year-old kid…” Luo Su found this somewhat inappropriate, somewhat immoral, but he quickly realized the truth. “Hold on! I’m also 18 years old, also a kid!”

Mm! The age of 18 was truly wonderful!
