While Su Zhixi was still bewildered, she suddenly spotted Young Master He, whom she had not seen in a long time, suddenly appear at the lounge room’s door.
He was donning a well-trimmed suit. His face was slightly dark and void of any expression. There seemed to be waves whirling in his dark and deep eyes, and his jaws were tensed up — he was boiling with rage.
It felt like he was the embodiment of both masculinity and danger, making him give off a different and indescribable attractiveness.
Su Zhixi heard her own heart pounding as she involuntarily gulped while staring at him fixedly.
He Jingyao strode toward her. As he walked, he took off his suit coat, revealing the black shirt he had on inside.
He soon stopped before her, then knelt down and caught her wrist.
Su Zhixi cowered backward a little.
In that instant, she even thought of something as ridiculous as him proposing to her…
Alas, she soon recalled that this man already had a fiancée.
This amorous thought was instantly doused away, as though with cold water. She felt a sharp pain in her heart and instinctively bit down on her lip.
He Jingyao sized her up for a while and finally spoke after confirming that she was not hurt anywhere. “What happened? Why are you at the hospital?”
Su Zhixi looked down. “Nothing… I’m sorry, Young Master He. I have a competition to attend and have to rush back now, so…”
He Jingyao frowned.
“Didn’t I tell you to address me by my name?” he pointed out unhappily.
Su Zhixi pressed her lips together stubbornly.
This man was already someone else’s fiancé, so she had to keep her distance from him.
“The competition is pushed back by an hour. You don’t have to worry.” He suddenly reached out and raised her chin. “Tell me, why are you at the hospital?”
Stunned, she turned away and avoided his scorching finger. “This is a personal matter.”
He Jingyao snorted.
It had only been a week and this woman had become more resistant.
What on earth happened to make her attitude change suddenly?
“It’s fine even if you don’t say it. I have already investigated.” His lips curled up as he moved dangerously close to her. “Also, why haven’t you used the present I gave you last time?”
Su Zhixi paused.
She suddenly recalled that Uncle Li had passed her a gift bag right before she alighted. However, she met He Jingyao’s fiancée after that and seemed to have left it on the ground…
As she had been busy preparing for the competition afterward, she had totally forgotten about this.
Now that He Jingyao had brought it up, she felt her eyes moisten and coldly replied, “I threw it away.”
“You threw it away?” His eyes became denser as he gripped her wrists tighter.
“That’s right!” Despite the pain, she pushed on fearlessly, “I probably threw it away like garbage.”
The moment she finished speaking, the man’s eyes turned both dark and icy!
“Su Zhixi.” He slowly spoke her name, though his voice was still gentle. “Why don’t you say that again?”
No one had ever treated him with this attitude. Was it that all women were as fearless as her, or was it only this woman who dared to do that?
Despite his low and gentle voice, Su Zhixi still felt goosebumps and tingles all the way up to her scalp.
She could not help cowering in fear inside. Biting her lips, she said, “Young Master He, in the first place, we have no relation at all. So can you please stop appearing in front of me?”
He Jingyao was even more certain that something must have happened outside of his influence.
He smirked coldly. “No relation? Su Zhixi, have you already forgotten about us sleeping together?”
