Mr. He’s Daily Affections - Chapter 54

“No, I won’t. I’ve woken up to reality.” She smiled lightly and her voice turned hoarse slightly. “I intended to return this jacket to Su Lianxi anyway, and since you’ve seen it, I’ll just return it to you straight away.”

She left right after speaking.

Yet Ning Yichen grabbed her wrist.

Su Zhixi shivered and looked at him calmly. “What’s wrong? Are you going to settle old scores with me?”

Seeing her peaceful and nonchalant expression, he felt his heart seize. He had no idea why he stopped her. Settle old scores with her? The jacket was already in his hands and there was no need for that.

He instinctively thought that he could not let her go easily.

Su Zhixi did not wish to keep a stalemate with him. Pursing her lips, she then said, “If there’s nothing else, please let go. My competition is starting shortly.”

“You…” he replied hesitatingly.

She lifted her head to look at him, only to see his expression change shortly after looking behind her.

The screeching noise coming from the motorbike’s engine was heard. Su Zhixi immediately realized what was happening, but before she could do anything, the man pulled her into his tight embrace as he turned… Immediately after, his body shook and he had a pained expression.

Beside the road, the motorbike and the cyclist fell onto the ground!

Su Zhixi also crashed onto the man’s chest, and her heart froze when she saw his fluttering eyelashes.

“Ning Yichen?” Her voice was overwhelmed with fear.

“I’m alright,” he said hoarsely. Releasing her, he turned to look at the motorcyclist on the floor and chided icily, “Pay attention to how you drive!”

The motorcyclist stood up from the ground and flew into a rage. “How do I drive? Is this road your family’s? Why are you blaming me when you’re the one stopping here?”

Ning Yichen’s face darkened. He was not good at arguing so he fished out his phone.

Seeing that Ning Yichen was well-dressed and drove a posh car, the motorcyclist knew that nothing good would come out of it, so he quickly sped off with his motorbike.

Ning Yichen put away his phone when he saw that. He then turned around and saw Su Zhixi’s face looking pale.

“You’re bleeding.” The corners of her lips trembled as she looked at the man’s right leg. “You’ve been hit there.”

The man tried to move, but his calf was throbbing with pain.

“It’s nothing serious, just some abrasion,” he said composedly. “Hurry up and go for your competition.”

Looking at the man, she made the decision. “I’ll bring you to the hospital.”

He laughed. “Su Zhixi, please don’t be mistaken. I merely saved you and there’s no other meaning.”

Su Zhixi smiled all of a sudden and opened the door to the seat next to the driver’s. “I know. Hurry up and get in. I’ll drive you to the hospital.”

Since he would save Su Lianxi, who was a stranger to him back then, he would definitely not let her get hit by a motorbike.

Ning Yichen frowned and doubt filled his eyes.

“I’m not mistaken, but after all, you’re injured because of me so I can’t turn a blind eye,” Su Zhixi said calmly. “You certainly can’t drive now. My driving skill is not too bad so you don’t have to worry.”

“But your competition is starting soon,” the man could not help but remind her.

“I know what I’m doing.” She clenched her fists slowly while still sounding calm.
