“Is this enough for you to pay your tuition?” He Jingyao asked with a smile.
Su Zhixi nodded. “I’ll find a way to pay you back.”
“Huh? What does this have to do with me?” The main raised his brows.
Su Zhixi could not help but laugh.
“Yes, it has nothing to do with YOU!”
It did not matter that he didn’t admit to it. She would remember it either way, and she would find the chance to pay him back.

During class, Su Zhixi was distracted. She took out her phone from time to time and smiled to herself as she read the text.
Shen Yunshan, who was sitting next to her, nudged her. “Zhixi, what’s up? Why do you keep staring at your phone? That’s not like you!”

She was referring to Ning Yichen. Su Zhixi was usually rather low profile and did not really talk about other people. But she got along with Shen Yunshan, so the latter knew about Ning Yichen.
When he woke up a few months ago, she had started saying that Su Zhixi had finally succeeded.
But Su Zhixi did not tell her that Ning Yichen had gotten together with her sister.
Sadness flashed across her eyes when she heard her friend’s question. “It’s not him.” She shook her head with a feigned smile.

Su Zhixi shook her head. “I made the choice to save him. He doesn’t owe me anything.”
Shen Yunshan glared at her friend indignantly. “Su Zhixi, you’re too nice!”
“What’s important is that he woke up. My efforts had not been in vain,” Su Zhixi muttered. She was not exactly sure if she was trying to convince Shen Yunshan or herself.
“Is he an ingrate?” Shen Yunshan asked.
“No, he’s a good person.” Su Zhixi shook her head.
Ning Yichen treated Su Lianxi really well. He had no principles when it came to her.
That was why she was so upset when the two of them first got together, because she believed that love would have been hers if not for Su Lianxi.
But she figured it out later. Even if Ning Yichen knew she was the one who saved him, he might not have fallen in love with her.
He was a nice person, but they did not have an affinity.
