Mr Gu’s First Doting Marriage - Chapter 9

Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios
The following days went by peacefully.
Lu Haotian and Guan Xuer didn’t appear again.
Xia Yangyang ended her internship and got ready to return to school.
The day before the school term started, Liu Ruyan called her to go back home for dinner.
Liu Ruyan used to be a popular celebrity years ago, and now, she was Xia Yangyang’s stepmother.
Her mother had passed away when she was twelve, and unexpectedly, her father had married Liu Ruyan half a year later.
Xia Yangyang had portrayed her father to be a refined and sentimental man. He had always been caring and gentle towards her mother, especially when she had fallen ill.
When her father remarried, she hadn’t had any objections. But what was unacceptable was that Liu Ruyan had a daughter named Xia Weiwei. She was younger than Yangyang by two years and was also her father’s biological daughter.
This had proven that her father had an affair all these years. Only when Xia Yangyang grew up did she realize that her father and Liu Ruyan’s affair had been an open secret in the entertainment industry.
Gu Qichen had come home from work early, when he arrived, Xia Yangyang was packing her suitcase.
She said to Gu Qichen, “I’m going back home tonight along with my stuff. Tomorrow I won’t be coming back here. Instead I’ll go to school directly from there.”
He asked, “Do you need me to go with you?”
Xia Yangyang replied hastily, “It’s all right. I can go back myself. My dad doesn’t know that I’m married.”
Gu Qichen pressed on, “What if I go with you as your boyfriend?”
“You can’t! They don’t know that I’ve broken up with Haotian.”
Gu Qichen replied stoically, “So when do you intend to inform them?”
She pondered for a moment. “I’ll tell them tonight that Lu Haotian and I are over.”
Seeing how determined and unyielding she was, a tiny grin appeared on Gu Qichen’s face. He then passed her a key. “This is your reward.”
Xia Yangyang peered at the key in surprise. “What is this?”
“The key to Maple Pavillion Manor. It’s near your school. You can move there tomorrow.”
Maple Pavilion Manor was one of Gu Qichen’s properties. She had been there once and it was located in a typical wealthy residential area for the rich. Numerous celebrities lived there due to the privacy the place afforded.
Xia Yangyang replied, “I’ll be staying in school.”
Gu Qichen retorted, “Then how about me?”
She was taken aback. “You intend to stay there too?”
He replied, “Xia Yangyang, you’re married now. I, your husband, am a strong, virile, and healthy man. Currently, I have no plans of living separately from my wife.”
Xia Yangyang’s cheeks turned as red as beetroot. She had been living with Gu Qichen for three months, and this was the most daring thing she had ever done in her life. Half of the time, he was away on work trips. But if he was home, intimacy was bound to happen, albeit naturally and casually. She had no resistance nor say in that matter.
Seeing how red Xia Yangyang’s cheeks were, Gu Qichen couldn’t resist how adorable she looked. He pressed his lips against hers deeply. She was so innocent that she didn’t even know how to breathe properly during kisses. She was always at his mercy every single time he teased or seduced her.
Silently, Gu Qichen had begun to unbutton Xia Yangyang’s top. Jolted to her senses, she squeezed his roaming hands and said breathlessly. “No, I have to go home now.”
Xia Yangyang was certain that once he began, he would take at least an hour. More importantly, she reckoned that she might not even have the energy to walk later.
Gu Qichen didn’t get what he wanted and as a punishment, he bit hard on her neck. And in doing so, a love bite was formed.
He then buried his face in Xia Yangyang’s neck to recover himself. In a husky and deep voice, he said, “After I take a shower, I’ll drive you there.”
