After both of them had changed their clothes, they exited the car.
Xia Yangyang had never seen Gu Qichen dressed like this before. He always appeared perfectly well-groomed and immaculate, as though he had been living inside a vacuum in outer space.

The street was bustling and crowded with people. Stalls were brightly lit and amazing smells of delicious food wafted everywhere.

It was tucked right at the end of a corner.
Xia Yangyang sat right down on an empty seat while Gu Qichen sat across her. Looking mildly curious, he asked, “Menu?”
Xia Yangyang chuckled at him. “How could there be a menu at this sort of place?”
As the words left her lips, she waved at the stall owner. “Boss! Two bowls of beef noodles! Big portions!”
‘”All right!” The man shouted back.
The noodles were served minutes later. Xia Yangyang was indeed starving. so she grabbed a pair of chopsticks and ate a mouthful. Sighing with contentment, she said, “This is the best beef noodles I’ve ever eaten in my life. You have to eat the noodles together with the beef. It will only be satisfying if you do that.”
Gu Qichen picked up a pair of chopsticks before he picked up a slice of beef elegantly.
Xia Yangyang eyed him with anticipation. “How is the taste? Okay?”
To Gu Qichen, the taste was ordinary.
But upon sighting how Xia Yangyang’s eyes had sparkled, he replied softly, “Not too bad.”
Her eyes turned into little crescents at his response and satisfaction flashed across her eyes. “People like you who are used to eating expensive delicacies should occasionally try these street food. Then you can taste amazing food like this.”
Gu Qichen said, “If you like it, we can come here often.”
Xia Yangyang raised her head and her eyes met Gu Qichen’s. His voice was gentle and his words weren’t mushy. Nonetheless, her heart pounded erratically.
She felt that her heart had to be malfunctioning. If that wasn’t the case, why would it pound so wildly for no apparent reason?
To redirect his attention, Xia Yangyang steered the conversation away from this topic. “Hmmm… That… Can you do me a favor?”
As she watched Gu Qichen intently, she noticed him frowning deeply at her words.
She hadn’t popped the question, but Gu Qichen had already expressed his displeasure. She felt that all hope was gone.
Gu Qichen corrected her sternly, “I’m not any other person. You didn’t even address me properly before asking for a favor. Aren’t you lacking sincerity?”
So he was unhappy with this.
Xia Yangyang immediately corrected herself. “President Gu, Handsome man, Beautiful Mr Gu…”
Gu Qichen shook his head. “Not sincere enough.”
“Then what should I call you?”
“Try calling me hubby,” said Gu Qichen casually.
