Moorim West - Chapter 3

Yang Gong sat in the front of Jang, who was eating the noodles, and spoke good-naturedly.

Although he had been ripped off the money and jade ring he didn’t seem to run away, instead he spoke to Jang with a serious expression on his face.

“Brother Jang, now is not the time to be eating noodles leisurely.”

Jang ate noodles without answering Yang Gong.

The appearance of filling his cheeks with a lot of noodles was appetizing even for Yang Gong, who wasn’t even hungry.

Yang Gong just gulped his saliva and continued.

” I’m telling you this in the best interest of you. Even though many thing happened between us, I still think of you as a brother since we ate and fiddled cards once

together.”

Jang did not answer any of the words of Yang Gong.

Rather, he lifted the bowl and drank the broth in the noodles.

Then placed down the bowl and swallowed all the noodles and broth that was in his mouth.

Then he reached out to the tea that was placed next to the bowl of noodles.

He took a sip of the tea and looked slyly at Yang Gong in his eyes and opened his mouth.

“Why..?”

“Do you remember the guy who run away earlier.”

“Jin seok…..?”

Yang Gong opened his eyes wide.

“You pretended not to be interested in other’s business, but you do remember everything…….. Well the thing is that guy is a little dangerous.”

“A guy who got scammed by the likes of you…..is dangerous.”

At Jang’s words Yang Gong coughed a little.

“You know that’s offensive… Right.?”

“If you don’t like being called scammer, then shall I call you as thief.”

“Hey. Don’t you remember what I just said? I paid all the country bound bounty.”

“Does the crime disappear if you give out the money.?”

Yang Gong dropped his head down and shrugged.

“Aren’t some of the bounties going out as compensation for those people I scammed.? then doesn’t that mean never robbed them.”

“Ahhh….what am I talking….It’s not time for that….Brother Jang Do you know who is Hong Gildong?”

“Who is Hong Gildong?”

Jang answered without showing any interest, while picking up the teacup again and bringing it to his mouth.

“The leader of the Bowbilli clan.”

“…Bowbilli?”

“Don’t you know?”

Yang Gong laughed sheepishly.

“ You don’t know because you don’t have enough learning about the moorim country we live in.”

Jang looked at Yang Gong without saying a word and after a moment of pause opened his mouth.

“Come to the point. What does that have to do with that prick being dangerous?”

Yang Gong picked up a teacup from the corner of the table and filled it with tea.

“Jin seok is an ignorant man. He didn’t learn martial arts, and he doesn’t have a lot of wealth, but still he has one thing?”

Yang Gong took a sip of the tea he poured.

“Its his brother – a real powerhouse in Martial arts.”

Hearing Yang Gong’s words, Jang grinned and raised his chopsticks

“Well…..I also do some martial arts.”

“Oh, I know that. Is there anyone who doesn’t know about the fist of our Brother Jang.? Since I personally saw I knew that Brother Jang’s drawing of a sword is a piece of art itself.”

At Yang Gang’s words, Jang put down the hand holding the chopsticks again.

“Then what’s the matter, kid? I told you to come to the

point.”

“Of course the prick’s brother is a problem, but the most problematic was the clan he belongs.”

Jang slammed the teacup on the table and the leftover tea in the teacup jumped out of the cup and fell on the table.

“Why are you making a fuss about a clan in the countryside. Don’t they have a Moorim Security Force branch here?”

Yang Gong answered the question with a smile on his face.

“Are you curious now Brother.?”

Jang laughed.

He laughed in such a way that the laugh echoed throughout the restaurant.

He then showed a clenched left fist.

Yang Gong looked at his fist and his expression turned slightly pale.

“Okay….okay…. I’ll tell you, lower your fists… Of course, they might be a small clan on the countryside. But the strangest thing is there is a link between the leader of the Bowbilli clan and the head of Moorim Security Force branch head.”

“ So as long as nothing big happens, Moorim Security Force won’t lay hand on the Bowbilli clan.”

“ And Jin Cheong, the brother of the prick whose nose you broke just a little while ago, holds an important position in the Bowbilli clan.”

“And you stole from the brother of such a big-shot.?”

Yang Gong laughed awkwardly.

Jang slowly looked back at the table where Yang Gong had been sitting and understood the situation.

The people who had gambled with Yang Gong before were now staring at him and Yang Gang as if to kill them.

It must have been because of the cheating and provoking Jin seok.

There were some residents who sneakily left the tavern, perhaps frightened.

As Jang drank the remaining tea in the teacup, the owner of the tavern approached him.

“customer.”

Jang looked up at the owner of the tavern.

Upon closer inspection, the owner’s face was not only stiff, but also trembling

“I will refund the price of noodles, so please get out of my tavern.”

Yang Gong looked at him and said with a smile as if there was nothing he could do about it.

“Come on, let’s get out of this place before Bowbilli clans henchmen comes. If they come it will be difficult even for Brother Jang to stay safe.”

However, while listening to the two of them, Jang poured out tea to the empty teacup and after filling it, slowly took it to his mouth and started drinking.

He drank all the tea in a single gulp and smacked the teacup on the table.

Then he opened his mouth

“I think it will be fine.”

“What are you saying Jang….even if it’s you, you can’t handle 20 henchmen of the strong Bowbilli clan. Let’s get ou……”

“If you had wanted to run away. you should have done it early. But now It’s already too late.”

As soon as Yang Gong heard the voice that cut off his words he got stiffened.

The owner of the tavern and Yang Gong turned to the owner of the low, thick voice that was heard from behind.

“It’s too late to run now.”

As soon as they saw the silhouette of the person standing in the front of tavern, they felt a chill passing down the spine.

At the same time, the main character of that voice entered the room.

At a glance, the man, who looked sloppy, weighed quite a bit, and the wooden floor of the tavern made a rattling noise as he walked.

The man who entered the tavern, passed through the frozen tavern owner and Yang Gong, and then stood in front of Jang.

He looked at Jang, who was still drinking his tea with a calm face.

He then turned around and asked.

“Is it them?”

“Uh, uh. That’s right, brother. They tricked me into taking my money, and when I protested, they broke my nose into this shape. Please give me them a proper lesson.”

“…your money?”

Jin Seok, who appeared from behind the man, made an ominous expression and added quickly.

“He was stealing people’s money. My money…. that is… only part of it.”

The man with a bandage around his nose looked pathetically at Jin Seok, who stuttered, and then looked at Yang Gong and Jang again.

“Everyone out.”

Jang knew that those words were not directed at him.

All those who remained in the tavern rushed out and ran out.

The owner of the tavern also followed after them, and before leaving stopped next to the man, and said cautiously.

“The thing is….. it’s not been long since I bought the new table…”

The man just stared at the owner of the tavern without saying a word, and the owner was startled by those eyes and ran outside.

Yang Gong, who had an anxious expression on his face, slowly got up, thinking of getting out along with the crowd.

“Sit down.”

Hearing Jang’s dry voice, he naturally sat back down and raised a teacup and answered.

“Well? I guess our next meeting will be in the hell.?”

Jang who was making eye contact with the man, didn’t answer but just smiled.

At that time, when everyone in the tavern had left, seven or eight men rushed inside.

They surrounded Jang and Yang Gong, who were sitting in the corner of the tavern, in a semicircle.

The man who had been staring at Jang until then walked slowly and said,

“Nice to meet you, friends. I am Jin Cheong.

“It’s a shame, but I’m acting as a Sheriff in this town. After all, it is a peaceful place, so there wasn’t much to do, so we were just playing and eating.”

He stopped in front of the table where Jang and Yang Gong were sitting.

“By the way, it looks like I have something to solve here today.”

Jang didn’t answer.

He just looked at Jin cheong with his sunken eyes and picked up the teacup and drank it.

When Jin Cheong saw this, his eyebrows twitched.

Yang Gong, who noticed that stood up, put his hands together, and spoke.

“Hahaha. There seems to be some misunderstanding about this..”

“By the way nice to meet you. My name is Yang Gong. I came to this village a few days ago, and even in that brief moment, I didn’t hear just once or twice about the generous deeds of Brother Jin cheong.”

“It was stories about your prowess and manhood, so I wanted to meet you once. So how are business these days.?”

“But since we really met like this, isn’t this some kind of a destiny? Oh, and by the way, he is Brother Jang and it’s not been a while since he came to this town…”

However, Yang Gong’s words were suddenly cut off by the index finger of Jin cheong’s right hand, which was pointing to him.

That moment Yang Gong was stiffened by the sudden action, while Jin Cheong opened his mouth.

“Swindler.”

“Wha… What? Me, a swindler?”

The index finger moved as it was, and this time it pointed to

Jang.

“bodyguard of swindler.”

Jin Cheong lowered his hands and put both hands on his waist and said arrogantly.

“How can I respond to my brother’s protest that suddenly appeared in this peaceful village about the criminals who eats the poor people’s money with their fists?”

“As a follower of the justice, I can’t just let this happen. Therfore, I will hereby arrest both of you and take you to the Moorim Security force branch. Resisting will only hurt you, so it would be better not to.”

Yang Gong’s face turned absurd at the words and confident attitude that confirmed the crime as if he were a judge, so he twisted his eyebrows and opened his mouth.

When Jin Cheong finished speaking, the men who were besieging them approached each with thick clubs from their waists.

Seeing this, Yang Gong’s face became pale.

Without realizing it, he muttered abusive language, saying,

“This shit….”

“So, you are not going to kill me”

The men who were nearing the table stopped at Jang’s sudden words, who had been quiet.

They looked at Jin Cheong without realizing.

Jin Cheong looked at Jang with his eyes twisted as if he didn’t like his look.

“How can I kill someone in the broad daylight in a tavern.”

“But it’s okay to come and persecute like this?”

Jin Cheong took one step closer to the table where Jang was

sitting.

“This is to arrest the rascals who are disturbing the village, so all of our strong compatriots will understand the situation.”

“Aside from those gangsters here, where are the strong compatriots? Your self-awareness is bloated.”

In response to Jang’s sarcasm, Jin Cheong took one step closer and lowered his voice.

“This little bastard really wants to be tough. so he talks back and forth. If you don’t come properly. I can tear your snout before handing you over to the Moorim Security Force.

Jang laughed at the harsh words.

“So…..you aren’t going to let me go?”

“You shouldn’t have put that shitty hands on my brother’s face and think about escaping from my village. At least I’ll make you a one arm, one leg bastard. Well, if you beg me now, I’ll consider leaving the one thing between those legs.”

Jin Cheong’s last words were funny, and the surrounding thugs laughed.

Others giggled and tapped their thighs with clubs.

Yang Gong, who saw this, unknowingly clasped his legs together and shrugged.

And Jang looked at the thugs, Jin Cheong, and Jin seok, who were laughing as if they were pathetic, and said.

“Aren’t you worried that this bastard here might have something if he is calm even in situations like this; maybe a martial arts? Aren’t you worried that he might be an emperor or the wandering master?”

Jin Cheong’s complexion hardened upon hearing Jang’s words.

“what? You…… the Emperor?”

Jang answered with a puzzled expression.

“Well….why not..?”

“What a crazy bastard? are you kidding? Impersonating the Emperor just because you know some Martial ar…

At that moment, Jang, who was sitting in his seat, jumped up from the chair without any preparatory movements, jumped over the table with his hands, and put a kick in Jin Cheong’s face.

The force of that single kick was so the huge that the bulky Jin cheog fell straight out to the entrance of the tavern.

His two eyes started spinning, and his front teeth both up and down were broken, and huge amount of blood gushed out of his nose.

The thugs and Yang Gong in the tavern looked dumbfounded alternating between the faces of Jin Cheong and Jang.

Jang Geon, who got down with the recoil of kicking Jin cheong, looked at him with piercing eyes and said.

“I’m the Emperor.”
