“Which floor is Young Master Wen on?” Mu Fan asked calmly.

“Third… Third floor, Advanced-VIP Room,” the man on the ground stuttered.

“Which room?” Mu Fan’s head slightly tilted upwards towards the third floor, and his eyes squinted.

“No. 1, but… he’s not there right now. You have to ask the Boss.” The man on the ground didn’t have a temper anymore. The most effective way to stop vicious and mean people was to beat them at their own game.

“Thank you,” Mu Fan nodded as he replied politely. The man on the ground was stunned by this turn of events.

Mu Fan turned around and walked away in a steady manner towards the levitated elevator.

The jaws of the regular clients in the area dropped as they watched this. Such tough people existed in the Budokan. Although we don’t know the details of what happened, judging by the situation, it seems like this boy probably has a good relationship with the crippled practice partner, and he is going to seek revenge.

“So cool!” Some female clients who came to work out admired Mu Fan as he walked away without hesitation. They started to ask around for the name of this dominating-looking practice partner.

Seek revenge and repay kindness.

Although Mu Fan only knew Man Kun for two days, they had become friends.

In this vast universe, Mu Fan would not submit to power nor wealth! He would not conform and would only walk on his own path to do what he wanted to do; that was Mu Fan’s attitude ever since he could remember!

The scene of Mu Fan’s first encounter with Man Kun two days ago appeared in his mind.

That burly man dressed in black was smiling as he introduced himself. “I’m Man Kun. Good luck boy.”

“Come here after lunch, and don’t be late.”

Language had a strange power. Sometimes, one would have to be sensitive to notice the deep hidden emotions. The cruel reality of the Budokan unravelled before Mu Fan’s eyes; he was unlucky. This was the superficiality of human relationships.

I’ll ask around for what exactly happened. Don’t worry, I will avenge you if you were wronged.

The things that they are too scared to do, I’ll take charge!

Those people who they don’t dare to bother, I’ll go deal with them!

The honor that you’ve lost, I’ll redeem it!

The dignity that he took away from you, I’ll make him spit it out!

Mu Fan emitted an inexplicable aura as he stepped into the levitated elevator, and the doors closed behind him.

Then, the blue light representing the fourth floor lit up.

Charison’s stubby body sank into the huge leather chair as he took out a cigar that was smuggled to him. Although it wasn’t as good and pure as the cigars those nobles, such as the mayor, enjoyed, he didn’t complain much as the average citizens would never be able to even see such cigars.

He sniffed his cigar hard as a satisfied smile appeared on his face. He took out a cigar cutter in the shape of a half-naked woman with his left hand, and then he put his right thumb and middle finger into it as he cut the cigar elegantly.

He took a big puff after he lit it up and sat there, indulging with the effect.

“Tsk, tsk, Young Master Wen’s leftovers are more than enough for me; it really is the good stuff. I don’t know which God I prayed to managed to pull through, but it’s so fortunate that Young Master Wen chose this location as his recent recreational place. Maybe it’s because the admission of military academies is about to start soon?” Charison puff out a ring of smoke as he rested his head on the back of his seat and smiled.

“Poor Man Kun, you’ve been working here for a while, but what else could you do when Young Master Wen chose you as his practice trainer since he thinks that you can fight. Well, anyone can be a sacrifice as long as I get my connections to Young Master Wen.”

“Sigh, but now, I’ll have to recruit more people. I will just promote two of the old birds below, and they will last for a while before then.”

Charison pondered as he scratched his chin with his pinky finger and murmured to himself, “As for Man Kun… I’ll send him home. Now, who’s going to be the next practice partner for Young Master Wen? Young Master Wen needs to leave some people in the Budokan, or else it will be hard to report to the boss.”

While Charison pondered, knocking noises sounded from the wooden door.

“Come in.” Charison’s head that was leaning on the back of his chair didn’t move a bit.

The door squeaked open, and Mu Fan walked in.

“Hey, you’re that boy from two days ago. You name is… What’s your name again? I remember that Man Kun brought you in. What are you here for?”

“I’m Mu Fan; I’m here to ask about Man Kun.”

Charison’s expression turned cold. “What do you want?”

“I want to go visit him,” Mu Fan answered calmly.

“Eh,” Charison’s expression softened after hearing this answer. “He did bring you in, and you probably should go visit him. He’s in the hospital at No.117 of East Street District. Is there anything else? If not, you may leave.”

Mu Fan nodded and said, “Eh. Also, I want to be Young Master Wen’s practice partner.”

Charison’s expression hardened again in an instant as his head left the back of his seat. He stared at Mu Fan as he warned him, “Hey boy, this is a budokan, and you guys are practice partners. You should be prepared for these things to happen.”

“I won’t fight back; I know I’m just a practice partner,” Mu Fan said calmly.

This stubby manager still had his eyes locked onto Mu Fan as he said slowly, “Young Master Wen is an VIP, and he’s not someone neither me nor you could mess around with. You can quit if you don’t want to continue this job.”

Mu Fan stared back at him for a while without fear and nodded. “I understand; I’ll go visit Man Kun.”

Then, he turned around as he walked towards the door.

Charison stared at Mu Fan coldly.

Mu Fan’s head tilted when he opened the door and said, “Mr. Charison, if it happens that Young Master Wen needs more practice partners, and no one else is available, let me give it a try.”

The door then closed lightly behind him.

Charison’s face was filled with complicated emotions as it faded into the smoke, and the scent of the cigar was now slightly irritating to him.

It was noon when Mu Fan walked out from Charison’s office and went straight down to the first floor.

Lunchtime was here, and Mu Fan walked quietly to the cafeteria. Some people who had witnessed the scene in the training court were subconsciously avoiding him as if he was like a beast in human skin.

“Ten meal boxes.” Mu Fan walked straight to the ordering window as no one was in the line to pick up their food.

“Hold on tight,” said the cafeteria employee as he handed a tall stack of meal boxes to Mu Fan.

Mu Fan sat down and finished each meal box with four gulps, piling up the empty meal boxes real fast.

At this moment, a strong arm appeared on the table in front of Mu Fan.

Mu Fan lifted his head up and saw it was Jereff.

Jereff had five meal boxes in his arms as he smiled at Mu Fan.

“Hey boy, I heard about what happened. I know you went to find Mr. Charison, but he had just given me my notice. I’m going this afternoon; you don’t have a chance.”

Jereff’s words sounded unfriendly, but Mu Fan understood what he meant.

Don’t go deep into this one, it isn’t your turn.

Mu Fan nodded as he realized that Jereff was actually a warm-hearted man in disguise.

“Eh.” Mu Fan didn’t say anything more.

Jereff patted on Mu Fan’s shoulder and left to eat lunch with a bunch of other people noisily.

Mu Fan quickly finished his meal boxes and wiped his mouth before leaving the cafeteria.

The cafeteria was still as populated and noisy as before.

Mu Fan didn’t change, and he walked straight out of the Budokan with the back of his clothes still ripped open.

“No. 117 of East Street District,” Mu Fan murmured as he quickly got to this hospital by asking around for directions.

“Hello, is there anything I could assist you with?” a girl in a white doctor’s coat asked him at the front desk.

“I’m here to visit Mr. Man Kun; I believe he’s here.”

“Okay, please wait while I take a look. Yes, he’s in room no. 11 which is the fifth room to your right if you walk straight down this way.”

Mu Fan followed her instructions and arrived at the door. He pushed open the door and saw Man Kun sitting on the bed.

“Little Mu Fan?” Man Kun was a bit surprised that it was Mu Fan who walked in, and then he let out a bitter laughter. “Even you know about it, eh? Sigh.”

Man Kun had been a bright guy before, but now he was lying in his bed with a bitter smile and had his broken left leg in a thick cast.

“I’ve heard from them, so I came to visit.” A trace of care flashed across Mu Fan’s bright eyes.

Man Kun felt a wave of warmness in his heart. He had seen all sorts of people from the bottom to the top during the three years that he had worked at the Budokan, and he never expected that it was Mu Fan, a boy who he met only two days ago, who was here to visit him.

“My leg’s broken, and I’ve already done the preliminary treatments. I should be fine after I heal and rest for a while,” Man Kun said before Mu Fan asked another question and continued holding up his smile. “The Budokan will reimburse me with the expenses and compensate some extra money as well. I am a senior there, so that probably won’t be little, hahahaha…”

“I’ve spoken to Charison earlier and asked to become Young Master Wen’s practice partner.” Mu Fan interrupted him.

“Haha… What?!!! No! You can’t be his practice partner!” Man Kun’s laughter stopped, and he shouted as he grabbed onto Mu Fan’s arm subconsciously.

“You can’t do that! That’s Young Master Wen you’re talking about. The money the Budokan will give me is will last me for a while. Don’t go; you don’t know what you’re up against!” Man Kun didn’t expect Mu Fan to dare to say these things, and his eyes blurred with tears. Some people who he had known for ten years was nothing compared to someone who he had just met, so he would never drag Mu Fan down this trouble.

“Charison refused, but I’m going anyways.” Mu Fan said as if he wasn’t involved in this situation.

“Young Master Wen is preparing for the admission of the military academies, and he’s the only son of the Second Senator on Planet Loga! He’s not someone who we can mess with!” Man Kun was worked up as he saw how affirmative Mu Fan’s attitude was.

“I won’t mess around with him; I’m only going to be his practice partner. It’s going to be Jereff this afternoon, but I have a feeling… That Charison will soon arrange me to go up.” Mu Fan had a feeling that he would be called soon after seeing Charison’s expression during their conversation.

“You!… Young Master Wen at least has a level-15 physique! How are you going to fight him! Even Jereff is in danger!” Man Kun grew anxious.

“Don’t worry, I’ll protect myself,” Mu Fan said, trying to comfort him.

“If Young Master Wen is satisfied, then the Budokan is satisfied; if Young Master Wen isn’t satisfied, then both you and I will be in trouble! Listen to me; don’t go. He’s way too ruthless!” Pain flashed across Man Kun’s eyes as he stared at his broken leg and said as fast as possible due to worry.

Mu Fan smiled and patted him on the shoulder. “Mr. Man Kun, take good care of yourself. I believe that Young Master Wen will be satisfied.”

He stared affirmatively into Man Kuns’ eyes and continued saying, “Please believe in me as well. I will be heading back now as I still need to be someone’s practice partner in the afternoon.”

With both hands, Mu Fan prevented Man Kun from trying to get up. An unstoppable amount of strength was coming from his slim figure, and he held Man Kun down to the bed. Without giving Man Kun a chance to speak further, Mu Fan waved his hand as he walked out of the room.

A tough guy like Man Kun teared up as he watched Mu Fan leave the room.

Mu Fan’s smile instantly disappeared when the door closed behind him.

Nobody was born more noble than others, and nobody was born to be humiliated.

If he didn’t dare to stand up for this, how could he adventure into the world.
