Male Lead Likes My Support! - Chapter 5

Episode 5

Choi Ji-hyuk was being ridiculous.

I don’t know what point he was drawn to, but he was very upset.

“You and I are different!”

I pinched Choi Ji-hyeok’s arm as best as I could, and he made a bewildered face, rubbing his arm.

“You want to go out together? Are you crazy?”

“Isn’t two better than one?”

He laughed openly as if he was going crazy at my words.

His face seemed to be subtly mixed with madness.

He looked anxious.

“Do you think you will be of any help in this situation?”

“A lot more than you are now? I found the syringe, not you.”

“…”

Choi Ji-hyuk looked at the syringe silently to see if he had anything to say to my words.

Anyways, in the end, it was me, not Choi Ji-hyuk, who found the item that was a clue to get out of here.

He seemed to agree to some extent with what I said, and his expression returned to normal in an instant.

Then, with his face full of anxiety, he spoke as if accusing me.

“Are you just going to stand still?”

At those words, I stared at Choi Ji-hyuk.

After a while, I opened my mouth.

“Do you really want to go alone?”

He couldn’t easily answer my words.

His reaction was a bit of an overreaction.

He froze hard, as if he had been stabbed and moved as if something was broken.

“I’m comfortable being alone.”

“I also brought crutches.”

As I grabbed my crutches, Choi Ji-hyuk turned away from me and ruffled his hair as if annoyed.

“You’re afraid I’m going to go alone, right?”

At my words, Choi Ji-hyuk pursed his lips. It seemed right.

So I pretended to be smiling brightly and whispered in his ear.

“To be honest, being locked up here alone is scarier.”

Choi Ji-hyuk frowned and sighed heavily.

“You have to stay here until the situation clears up because there are more terrible people out there than the ones here.”

I frowned at his words.

Really, I didn’t understand what he was saying.

Choi Ji-hyuk looked at my expression for a moment and then opened his mouth nervously again.

“14 hours. It’s the time it takes for the first destruction to end. So, you have to stay here for 14 hours.”

~*~

It was impossible for ordinary people, but not for awakeners to break the dungeon.

This was because the monsters in the dungeon were too powerful for the general public to deal with, and the general public was not given the protection of the system.

Choi Ji-hyuk said that.

To be honest, I didn’t know as much about this world as Choi Ji-hyuk.

A streaming service broadcasted his life 24 hours a day without any descriptions.

No matter how much he’s been a nuisance, I couldn’t just watch him 24 hours a day when my life is definitely there.

So I didn’t watch the broadcast that often except for when he ran on the raid or went into the dungeon.

Choi Ji-hyuk looked over the wall, hitting the back of the head of a body rushing at me.

“I think it’s over there.”

At Choi Ji-hyuk’s words, I approached him and peeked over the wall.

At least 20 seemingly monsters were wandering around the entrance of the auditorium after losing their lives.

He was right. Usually, the Boss is large and moves in a pattern, so it’s located in the widest place among other places.

Choi Ji-hyuk took a short deep breath and grabbed my sesame seeds and said,

“I’ll get their attention, so you go in there.”

“Okay.”

A large statue was seen through the half-open entrance.

Choi Ji-hyuk took a deep breath while leaning against the wall, and then stepped over the wall.

I grabbed my heart, beating like crazy with tension and looked through the gap at the entrance to the auditorium.

Something was strange, but there was nothing inside the auditorium.

“Go!”

When Choi Ji-hyuk hit the floor strongly with an iron pipe and made a sound, the monsters began to run toward Choi Ji-hyuk.

And I took the opportunity to run toward the entrance to the auditorium.

“Oh, my god”.

One of the bodies running toward Choi Ji-hyuk reached out to me with a black hand.

I hit the hand hard with the crutches I was holding right away.

I got goosebumps all over my body.

In response, I clenched my teeth and ran recklessly toward the front without looking back.

He confidently said he would distract the monsters until I went into the auditorium, but honestly, Choi Ji-hyuk, who had yet to wake up, could not have been able to deal with more than 20 monsters alone.

“Run away!”

Choi Ji-hyuk grabbed the monster’s hair and shouted, pressing back hard with his feet.

I barely managed to enter the auditorium with a feeling of almost crying.

Strangely, however, as soon as I entered the auditorium, the corpses that had been chasing me began to nuke, turn their eyes from me, and run toward Choi Ji-hyuk.

What is it? Can’t you see me?

I shouted at Choi Ji-hyuk for now.

“Come into the auditorium right now! Hurry up!”

“What if the corpses flock there? Shout louder!

“They’re not coming! So hurry up and come this way!”

Choi Ji-hyuk poked the neck of the body running toward him with the tip of a pointed pipe while swearing and began to run toward me.

“Watch out for the back of your head!”

In the meantime, I screamed when I saw the body rushing behind Choi Ji-hyuk, and he turned around as if familiar with it and hit the body’s abdomen with his feet.

“Don’t pay attention to this place and go somewhere safe! I’ll go on my own!”

I froze for a moment when I saw him.

Will he be able to come on his own?

Dozens of corpses still didn’t die and finally got up from the floor, twisting their bodies and running toward Choi Ji-hyuk.

I thought he might die at this rate.

Choi Ji-hyuk definitely made a noise to attract the attention of the corpses. The bodies must’ve been responding to noise.

There was no hesitation.

I immediately threw my crutches in the opposite direction of Choi Ji-hyuk.

And then I screamed.

“Run!”

Shinggg!

When the stainless crutches hit the stair handle and made noise, the eyes of the corpses were instantly dispersed from him.

Choi Ji-hyuk ran toward me without missing the chance.I reached out my hand as hard as I could and grabbed Choi Ji-hyuk’s arm, pulling it inward.

The vicious-looking bodies pushed their faces with their mouths wide open, full of black liquid.

I almost hugged Choi Ji-hyuk and rolled on the floor.

“You. You’re crazy”.

“Shh!”

I looked around the auditorium while hugging Choi Ji-hyuk.

In the middle of the auditorium stood an angel statue that I had seen earlier.

The height was about 2 meters. It held a large sword in his hand.

I had no choice but to frown and make eye contact with Choi Ji-hyuk.

Anyone could tell that it was a suspicious statue.

If you looked closely at the angel statue, you could see that part of the heart was pierced.

No, to be more specific, the heart was surrounded by a black film.

The black coating even fluttered in the shape of a heart.

It was then.

I looked at Choi Ji-hyuk and the system floating in the air.

We looked at each other blankly and thought.

It was a term referring to the heart inside the black skin of that statue.

And the cleanser…

I took out the syringe.

Can we survive just by inserting a syringe?

“Give it. I’ll do it. Ugh.”

For a moment, Choi Ji-hyeok frowned and grabbed it.

I opened my eyes wide and looked at his stomach.

As if he had been attacked by the corpses earlier, blood was oozing from his hand holding it.

“Hey, are you okay?”

“I’m fine, give me that damn syringe.”

My mind went blank.

Even when the corpses ran towards me, I could endure it.

Seeing Choi Ji-hyuk, who was only on the screen, bleeding in front of me, strangely, I didn’t know what to do.

His mood became very, very strange.

I shook my head and said.

“Wait here.”

I held the syringe tightly in my arms and looked at Choi Ji-hyuk firmly. It was obvious what he was going to say while being vicious.

“What? Give it to me, quickly!”

“Do not move!”

I frowned and said to Choi Ji-hyuk as a warning.

Then, I got up and took a step away from him and headed towards the statue.

Then, he came to me with a confused face.

The blood dripped down from Choi Ji-hyuk’s stomach and wet the floor of the auditorium.

“Come on, stay still! What are you doing now?! You’re bleeding!”

I wanted to cry. Choi Ji-hyuk raised his eyebrows as if he didn’t like my reaction and stopped there.

I thought he should listen to me first.

I approached the statue, continuing to see if Choi Ji-hyuk was still coming toward me.

And I barely got to the front of the statue.

I breathed in as much as I could, got on my tippy toes, and put a syringe in the black film, feeling uncomfortable.

And the moment I push the piston in.

“Get out of the way!”

Choi Ji-hyuk pushed me as if he were attacking me.

“Gasp!”

I stared at him, who blocked me, blinking only while frozen on the spot.

“Trap…”

When I looked down slightly very slowly, what I could see was the sword of the statue that pierced Choi Ji-hyuk’s stomach.

Blood came out from Choi Ji-hyuk’s mouth and spilled over me.
