Mafia Schoolgirl Wants to Study In Peace - Chapter 38

Nina was someone who would make thorough plans for everything, including her own life.

Becoming a doctor was her top career choice amongst various career options, and she herself had some practical experience.

She had already obtained an LG University undergraduate degree many years ago. Hence, there was no need to study for such a degree again. This time, Nina had chosen LG University’s medical school.

She was studying for a Ph.D. in medicine.

Of course, whether it was Boris, Molly, Claude, or Cathy, everyone had been under the impression that Nina attended an interview for an opportunity to enroll in LG University as a second-year student.

However, in reality, Nina’s photo frame, which did not have any photo, was still hanging on LG University’s Honor Board.

Catherine Galliano!

This was a name hidden beneath the Nina Jowett front.

LG University exuded a vintage and vigorous aura.

The walls in every building were made of red bricks.

Young men and women carried their textbooks as they walked through the buildings and the woods, creating a unique youthful scene.

Nina walked into the medical school building.

Most of the men and women entering and exiting the building were donned in white coats, looking strict and professional. Thus, Nina’s casual outfit attracted a lot of attention.

She went straight to the Dean’s office.

Algernon Belloc was the Dean of medical school. He sat at his desk, holding a student’s portfolio.

Principal Blumer had distinctly informed him that the documents were fake. It was not convenient to reveal the student’s real information, but he guaranteed that it would definitely be more remarkable than the fake information.

100 times more remarkable.

That was what Blumer had said.

“Nina Jowett…” Algernon did not have a good impression of the girl who had forced her way in through her connections, but he was rather curious.

Nina had just turned 20 this year. To be precise, she was only 19 because she had yet to celebrate her birthday.

A girl of her age should have been in a second-year undergraduate class, but she had gotten her degree from LG University and had been personally recommended by Blumer to enter medical school.

He reckoned that Blumer had also arranged Nina’s university graduation qualification.

Most importantly, Blumer had repeatedly reminded him to treat Nina well. He had even warned him not to anger her.

This made Algernon very unhappy.

At that moment, someone knocked on the door.

“Please come in.” Algernon subconsciously straightened his clothes and looked sternly at the door.

A girl in a white shirt and jeans walked in.

She had a clean, beautiful face, a cold, distant aura, and looked like someone who rarely smiled. She did not appear as nervous as other students would when they entered the office.

She was neither cautious nor awkward.

Nina walked slowly into the office and said to Algernon, “Hello, Dean Belloc. I’m here to report for school.

“I’m Nina Jowett.”

He initially believed that the reason Blumer had to make such special arrangements was that the girl might be his relative, or she might have a unique family background that required him to do so.

Consequently, he assumed that the girl might have the arrogance and conceit of a descendant from an influential family.

There was none.

She looked normal, even a little ordinary.

Algernon nodded and gestured for Nina to sit across from his desk.

“Your documents…” Algernon looked at the fake information that was purely a formality in his hands. He couldn’t help but purse his lips. “I’ve already read it. You meet our academy’s admission criteria.”

Nina nodded without changing her facial expression. “Thank you for your recognition. I will work hard to complete my further studies.”

Algernon’s expression turned serious. “That’s exactly what I wanted to say. Usually, applicants have to sit for a 7 hour and 30 minutes entrance examination.

“This includes chemistry, physics, biochemistry, psychology, and reading comprehension.

“The contents in this section are part of LG University’s introductory science course. It mainly focuses on testing the applicants’ problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical ability. For your information, we require a median score of 520, which is not low for most students.”

He was explaining to Nina that the admission criteria for LG University’s medical school were quite high.

Not everyone could enter.

“At the same time, we will require the candidates to have relevant social practices, such as participating in some medical-related experiments or volunteering at a medical institution. However, your information did not indicate that you had relevant experiences.”

He was explaining that Nina was not qualified to enter his academy and expressing his displeasure.

“You only had a personal document and a simple interview, but I had to allow you to enter. Do you know what that means?”

Nina remained silent for a moment before calmly saying, “This means that I must obtain your approval with a better performance in the future.”

Algernon said coldly and perfunctorily, “Very well. I hope you can continue to maintain this level of clarity and awareness. I look forward to your performance. You may leave.”
