There was a queue outside the bar. Beth said, “It’s ladies’ night today. We can enjoy it to the fullest. I’m afraid there will be a lot of guys coming over to try and talk to you!”

Just then, Eddie emerged from the small door of the bar. He greeted the bodyguard and brought Beth and Nina into the bar right away.

“Eddie Davis, just call me Eddie,” Eddie introduced himself to Nina. He was smiling confidently now, two rows of white teeth displayed on his tanned face. He was very handsome.

It was obvious that he was no longer as flustered as he had been when Nina intruded earlier.

“Nina Jowett.” Nina’s appeared natural, too, as if she had completely forgotten about what happened in the morning.

“When we enter the room, you guys sit in the corner. I’ll get you something to eat and drink. Be careful of what you say. It’s Marion’s birthday today, and several bigshots are here!” Eddie led the way, sounding a little smug.

Nina frowned.

They could only sit in the corner? This was different from what she had imagined.

In a private booth on the bar’s third floor, the wide glass window allowed one to see the entire hall on the first floor.

A man with thick brown hair and a well-proportioned body donned in a suit was standing in front of the glass window. He was holding a goblet filled with sparkling and expensive red wine in his hand.

He swirled the glass in his hand and inserted a straw into it, sucking on it.

People who didn’t know better might think he was drinking cheap soda on the street.

However, despite his appalling actions, it still couldn’t conceal his classy aura.

The man’s side profile was ridiculously stunning. He looked like a character from a comic or like he was carved by the heavens. He was so perfect that it was mesmerizing.

“What are you looking at?” Klein came over and stood by the brown-haired man’s side.

Huston curved his lips into a charming smile. “Nina Jowett.”

“Huh?” Klein widened his eyes in shock. “That small-town girl? Oh my God, why is she everywhere? Where is she?”

He leaned against the glass window and looked around. However, it was dark downstairs. Five-colored lights were flickering, and there were heads everywhere.

“Oh my God, how did you see Nina among so many people?” Klein felt his vision blur.

Huston smirked. “Fate.”

Klein rolled his eyes at him. “I really don’t know what kind of spell she cast on you. What’s wrong with you? Why are you so interested in a country girl?”

Interested?

He was quite interested.

Huston couldn’t exactly explain why, but he felt that there was something about Nina that attracted him—something very special, unlike other women.

For the first time, he wanted to understand a woman.

Nina entered the booth to see a dozen young men and women.

To her greatest surprise, she actually saw a familiar face—Cathy.

Cathy was drinking with a man. She was holding hands with the man, and her hand was on his lap.

And that man wasn’t Brent.

Cathy had noticed Nina entering. She was stunned but did not greet Nina.

The lights in the private booth were very dim. Some men and women were hugging and kissing, while some were drinking and teasing. There were also some men who were using all sorts of methods to please the ladies.

Eddie said, “The yellow-haired fat guy in the middle is Marion. His dad owns a big hotel, so he has a lot of connections. He’s celebrating his birthday today, and he wants more people to hang out with him.”

After that, Eddie pointed to a very thin man in punk attire standing next to Marion. He was a young man in his mid-20s, and he was the one holding Cathy’s hand.

“The one with the black hair is Joel Lange. He’s a sub-chief of The Partners.”

“The bespectacled man next to Joel is Marcus Hyde. He’s Old Henry’s deputy.”

Eddie looked excited and proud when he said their names as if it was a great honor to be able to drink with them.

Nina glanced coolly at the men, the corner of her lips curling casually.
