In the afternoon.

Mo Chiwei came to the hospital after he was done dealing with matters in his company.

He saw that another patient was staying inside the VIP ward and he slightly furrowed his dashing eyebrows.

The nurse, who blushed when she saw Mo Chiwei last night, hurried to him. “Mister, you are looking for the young lady who came in last night, right? Her husband came to pick her up this morning and they have already left.”

 Husband?

The man who sent her into the police station and did not even show up when she was nearly raped by someone?

Mo Chiwei indifferently glanced at the nurse who looked shy as if he did not notice the affection and admiration in her eyes. He asked in his gruff and frosty voice, “When did they leave?”

The nurse did not dare to look straight into his dark eyes. She lowered her long eyelashes and replied softly, “They left early in the morning.”

Mo Chiwei was not bothered with the nurse who wanted to look at him but was afraid to. He left the hospital with a tense outline, feeling a little gloomy.

Tang Xinyan rested at Coral Garden for one whole day.

She woke up at night and ate a bowl of noodles. When she was halfway through, her phone rang.

She picked up her phone and glanced at the caller ID.

It was a local but unfamiliar number.

Tang Xinyan thought that one of the movie crews was looking for her. She did not think much about it and answered the call.

 “Hello, I’m Tang Xinyan.”

The person on the other side did not answer for quite some time.

Tang Xinyan was puzzled and she frowned. “Hello?”

 “It’s me.”

Upon hearing the gruff and hoarse voice of the man that was attractive and alluring, Tang Xinyan dropped the chopsticks that she was holding with her other hand.

Although the man did not introduce himself, Tang Xinyan could identify the owner of the voice in an instant.

Sometimes, it would take a million years for you to forget someone once you meet them. You would not be able to get them out of your mind even if you tried.

She wiped her lips with a tissue paper and answered him anxiously, “Mr. Mo, are you looking for me?”

Mo Chiwei kept silent for a while and his breathing seemed to have become heavier.

The image of his tense but handsome face appeared automatically in Tang Xinyan’s mind.

Just when she thought that he was not going to speak, his gruff voice sounded slowly, “I’m here for my shirt.”

Tang Xinyan responded instinctively, “Where are you?” She had already taken the shirt to the laundry and had it washed. She was about to look for a chance to return it back to him.

“Downstairs.” He answered drily with that one word and ended the call.

Tang Xinyan put down the phone and ran toward the balcony.

She pressed her arms onto the railing of the balcony and lowered her head to look below the building.

In front of the green belt, there was indeed a black car which was very well camouflaged in the dark night.

The tall man was leaning against the hood of the car. He lowered his head and was lighting a cigarette. He was embellished by the surrounding light in the background.

He probably sensed that she was looking at him. He lifted his head and looked in her direction.

They were quite far apart and she could not have a clear look at his facial expression but she could feel that his dark eyes were staring at her.

 Her heart went pit-a-pat.

She turned around and went back into the apartment.

She took out the customized white shirt from her wardrobe and placed it into a delicate shopping bag. Then, she went downstairs.

 ***

When the cigarette between his fingers was left with one third of its length, a sweet voice sounded beside him, “Mr. Mo, your shirt.”

He squinted his dark eyes. In the chilly night breeze, he looked at the smiling young lady who was wearing a knitted sweater. His eyes were dark and his thin lips parted slightly. “Did you get back together with your husband?”

Tang Xinyan quivered. She did not know what his question entailed.

She handed him the bag and repeated, “I had your shirt cleaned.”
