“Get me the key.” Leng Ruobing ordered decisively.
“This…” Shen Xin was a little unwilling.
“Aunt Leng, Qianyu’s emotions were very unstable now. We should let her calm down first,” Qiao Qing said softly.
“Yes. Let’s not agitate her,” Lei Lie advised cautiously.
“Bring it here,” Leng Ruobing ordered again.
The three of them looked at each other then finally, Shen Xin passed the room’s key to Leng Ruobing.
Leng Ruobing told Lei Lie as she opened the door, “Please give us some space.”
“Oh. Okay, okay.” Lei Lie quickly backed out. He stood at the door with Si Hui like a pair of door gods.
Leng Ruobing used the key to open the room’s door and walked straight in. She saw Lan Qianyu huddled under the quilt shivering. Her eyes got red immediately. She had not seen her this fragile for many years. What actually happened last night that made her breakdown like this?
Leng Ruobing didn’t dare to wonder. She didn’t ask gently like other mothers, instead she questioned her severely, “Zhu Min was telling me earlier that Xiao Qi and your wedding was cancelled. The bride was changed to Bai Lu at the last minute. What’s going on?”
Lan Qianyu didn’t answer and still kept her head under the quilt.
“Is it because of Xiao Han?” Leng Ruobing continued to question closely, “Did Xiao Han hurt you again? What did he do to you?”
Leng Ruobing’s voice was quivering when she asked the last sentence. She was hoping that her guess wasn’t accurate.
“Get out…” Lan Qianyu finally spoke. Her tone revealed her agitation.
