Xiao Han suddenly stopped in his tracks when he heard that from beyond the door. He stared at the door in a daze, as if his heart had fallen into a bottomless abyss.
Even though he already had a premonition, he still couldn’t believe his ears. How did the plan that he thought was perfect become like this? Why?
In the room. Ye Yan’s actions became more and more outrageous.
“No!” Lan Qianyu screamed hysterically.
Xiao Han raised his foot and kicked open the room door in a bang.
Ye Yan’s reactions were swift. He pulled the blanket over Lan Qianyu’s body with a lightning speed. He turned his head and was slightly surprised to see that the person who barged in was Xiao Han.
“You animal, I’m going to kill you!” Xiao Han rushed forward with a grimace and gave Ye Yan a punch.
Ye Yan’s anger could be seen in his eyes. Xiao Han wanted to continue punching him, but Ye Yan grabbed his fist fiercely. “Are you crazy?”
“You bastard!” Xiao Han roared thunderously, “I clearly asked you not to make things difficult for her. Why did you have to touch her? Why?”
Lan Qianyu’s whole body shook violently. She looked at Xiao Han in shock. “You two are… in this together?”
Her voice was shaking and her heart was shaking too. When Ye Yan was torturing her, Xiao Han was the one who appeared in her mind repeatedly instead of Xiao Qi. She only knew at that moment that she had never forgotten about him. She was very touched when he barged in to save her, but she was utterly shocked when she heard this.
So, it wasn’t only Xiao Qi who betrayed her. Xiao Han, the man whom she truly loved, did too.
“Qianyu…” Xiao Han was trying to explain. Lan Qianyu swung her hand and gave him a tight slap across the face with all her strength. Her hand remained raised and shook violently. Her tears flowed uncontrollably, “Why? Why did you do this? Why?”
Her voice was heartbreakingly hoarse. She had shouted out that sentence hysterically. She lowered her head devastatingly as if her entire world had crashed.
Xiao Han’s head was turned to the side. His eyes were red and he couldn’t say a word.
Even though he had never thought about hurting her; even though his initial intention of returning was for her and not for the Xiao Corporation that was about to collapse or the so-called hatred, he could no longer explain. The damage was already done. Just like three years ago, when they split up after hurting each other.
He too, had plenty of reasons, but he didn’t explain any of them. Because, he knew explaining could do nothing except adding onto the sorrow.
Everything he had done in these three years was for her. He came back looking for her after ascending to the top of the world to let her know that he had enough ability to protect her. But the girl he had treasured, his one true love, Qianyu, was destroyed in the hands of his buddy due to his negligence.
He deserved to die, really deserved to die. This slap was insufficient to make up for the guilt in his heart. He had really hoped that Lan Qianyu would slash him like she did three years ago.

Ye Yan only realized now what Xiao Han had meant when he said “that woman” before he hung up the phone. He only understood now why Xiao Han admonished him not to make things difficult for Lan Qianyu. Because the woman who was in the deepest corner of Xiao Han’s heart was Lan Qianyu.
Actually, Ye Yan knew Xiao Han very well after being close buddies for three years. He should’ve understood the meaning hidden in his words. This was all because Lan Qianyu was too mesmerizing and Ye Yan only wanted to have her, so he ignored Xiao Han’s words.
