Lan Qianyu stopped in her tracks abruptly and stared at that room in a daze. Her brain was a mess so she must have heard wrongly. It couldn’t have been him, absolutely couldn’t. He had left. He had left three years ago, how could he have appeared here in this kind of manner?
“Qianyu.”
Xiao Qi was still attempting to say something when Lan Qianyu raised her hand and stopped him. She walked toward the room like a marionette. She heard a woman’s voice in the room once she reached the door. Her heart unexplainably felt horrible, as if someone had tugged on it.
“Love me, Young Master Han. Just like before.”
No man who heard this coquettish voice would be able to withstand it, but it made Lan Qianyu shiver.
Even the name was the same. Was it really him?
Lan Qianyu was so nervous that she shivered. She twisted the door handle slowly. The door was not locked and Lan Qianyu opened the door slightly into a crack.
She saw a familiar side profile of a figure sitting on a black leather chair through the narrow crack. He was making out with that woman passionately.
“Young Master Han, Errr… Someone’s there.” The woman saw Lan Qianyu with her misty eyes. She stopped her movements and tapped Xiao Han on his shoulders.
“Let her watch since she likes to.” Xiao Han’s voice was full of desire and became extremely sexy. However, it sounded ridiculously sarcastic to Lan Qianyu’s ears.
Lan Qianyu’s tears fell immediately, but she had a weird smirk on her lips. She felt as if someone had plunged a knife into her heart. What happened three years ago appeared in her mind again.
She was also standing in front of Xiao’s family’s door three years ago. She saw the man she loved in bed with another woman making out passionately. That man wasn’t Xiao Qi, but his younger brother from a different mother, Xiao Han.
The man that Lan Qianyu truly loved. It had been three years, but her heart would still ache when she heard his name.
She had fantasized many times about the scene when they saw each other again. Maybe they would walk by each other on the street like total strangers; or maybe it would be on her wedding to Xiao Qi, where he would smirk and say something sarcastically; or maybe they would never see each other again in this lifetime.
However, she had never ever expected that they would see each other again like this.
The man in the room felt a pair of eyes watching him. He stopped his actions and raised his head. His body jerked the moment he saw Lan Qianyu. His expression changed and had a panicked look in his eyes.
“Who is that? Do you know them?”
Lan Qianyu slammed the door shut before Xiao Qi and Qiao Qing recognised the people in there. She turned and ran toward the stairs. She ran very fast, as if a demon was chasing after her. Her tears fell continuously like a string of broken pearls, just like three years ago.
He didn’t change. He was still as debauched and profligate now as he was then. He had never regulated his behaviour.
Maybe to put it accurately, he had never truly loved a woman, therefore he allowed his desires and emotions to flow with no restraints.
Maybe, leaving him then was the right thing to do. And now, she shouldn’t have any more interactions with him. Because, a man like him was simply not trustworthy.

Lan Qianyu couldn’t remember how she got back to the bridal boutique. Her mind was a complete blank and the scene earlier kept replaying in front of her eyes. Her heart was hurting so badly she felt suffocated, as if a vine with poisonous thorns had her heart bounded tightly.
Although she reminded herself again and again not to get upset because of him, she still couldn’t help but feel miserable.
