Shen Youran heard those words and almost laughed. When she opened her mouth, the chili got into her throat and it made her choke. She coughed and it felt terrible.
She took a cup of water and drank it in one go. As she held the pot of tea to pour herself another cup, she saw everyone staring at her. She blinked her eyes in curiosity as she did not know why they were staring at her.
She looked at everyone and saw Deputy President Cheng’s gaze on the cup in her hands. She looked down at the cup in her hands and immediately understood.
Her cup was placed on her left side while Ji Jinchuan’s cup was placed on her right side. She was used to using her right hand so the cup that she drank water from belonged to Ji Jinchuan.
She quickly placed the cup down and apologized to Ji Jinchuan. “President Ji, sorry. I took the wrong cup.”
Ji Jinchuan furrowed her brows slightly but did not say anything to her. He shouted toward the door of the private room, “Waiter.”
Outside the private room, there were waiters ready to receive orders. When they heard the shout, they opened the door and entered.
He said, “The cup is dirty. Bring a new one for me.”
Shen Youran’s expression turned slightly pale, and the private room became so quiet that even a pin drop could be heard as everyone looked at each other.
The waiter quickly brought a new cup in and poured tea for Ji Jinchuan before taking that “dirty cup” away.
After the meal, on the way back, Shen Youran finally understood the reason why Shen Yaoting brought her along to please Ji Jinchuan.
It was because previously, at the Old Master’s birthday banquet, Ji Jinchuan and she had a dance together. It made Shen Yaoting misunderstand that Ji Jinchuan was interested in her, so he brought her along to “relieve her boredom.”

Shen Yaoting’s car left and she walked around the streets aimlessly. She proceeded to find a cafe for her to sit in for two hours.
She had just entered the cafe when Ji Jinchuan called her. She stared at her phone screen for a few seconds before putting it into her bag and letting it ring.
She ordered a cup of coffee and sat beside the window as she stared at the bustling crowd outside.
