Wen Mo’s intense stare caused droplets of sweat to form on the reporter’s forehead. He immediately realized how stupid his remark sounded.

The man before him was Wen Mo. He did not like others poking their noses into his personal life, especially not about him having a girlfriend. Offending him would only lead to serious implications!

The press conference venue was boisterous a moment ago but was now so quiet that one could hear his own breathing.

The only odd one out among the reporters was the undercover agent sent by the mysterious Young Master Mu.

Most of the other people were from regular media companies that wanted some interesting headlines.

When Wen Mo’s mighty presence filled the room, all of the reporters were petrified.

A dangerous, mysterious smile spread across Second Young Master Wen’s face. He asked the reporter in return, “Why would she rather smear her name than to confess to our relationship? Apart from protecting me, aren’t you aware of the other reason?”

This reply was like a stone cast into the center of a lake which sent ripples of revelation through the reporters’ hearts.

Why? The reason was simple.

A difference in social class! Contrasting statuses! They could spin this!

Various ideas formed in a few of the reporters’ minds and they began to write on their notepads!

Somebody jotted down a sentence: “The girl is deeply in love with a wealthy man, and now she has to wait and see.”

If they fleshed out the story of the forbidden love, the news might sell and they might even appease Second Young Master Wen.

The climax of the incident was already over. However, the undercover agent sent by Young Master Mu was under pressure from his boss and made a bold remark again!

He said, “Who knows if you’re just making this up to defend Chi Wan, Second Young Master! We know the truth!”

The other reporters stole glances at each other again.

Instead of speaking, Wen Mo raised an eyebrow and gestured towards the undercover agent.

A few bodyguards sprinted out and dragged the man out of the venue.

The undercover agent gave a loud cry in fear. “Second Young Master Wen! Do you feel guilty now?! It’s illegal for you to harass a reporter in public!”

“Illegal?”

A cold aura appeared within Second Young Master Wen’s beady eyes as he smiled. “Very well, everything you did just now has been recorded on camera. See you in court.”

“…”

The undercover agent was speechless as the bodyguards dragged him away.

The other reporters looked at him and shuddered!

Involving themselves in today’s mess was the greatest mistake they made in their career!

Getting into Second Young Master Wen’s bad books meant the loss of their jobs! They might end up like the reporter who was dragged away! Who knows whether he would be gotten rid of!

While everyone was still reeling in from their shock, a tender voice brought them back to their attention.

“I’m sorry I didn’t protect you.”

Wen Mo was back to his usual calm and quiet self. His prior rage disappeared.

His eyes were now like two pools of fine liquor.

His look would have caused every woman to feel like she was the only one noticed by him in this world.

Chi Wan was at a loss for words due to Wen Mo’s sudden change in tone. While she was stunned, a pair of huge palms clasped the back of her head.

Her head leaned backward involuntarily. She was still in a daze when she felt a cool sensation spreading across her lips…

Chi Wan’s eyes went wide as she regarded the handsome man right before her. Her body was stiff as stone.

“Not a single detail is to be missed. Close your eyes, Chi Wan.”
