Rong Kaixuan clearly remembered that he had used his finger to poke the arm of the body in front of him, but his arm felt like it was being poked at the same time.

It was as if touching the other body was the same as touching himself.

Many ideas floated in his mind. No matter how intelligent he was, there was no way he was able to understand what on earth had just happened.

After a long time, he clenched his teeth and stretched a hand out to pat this thing of unknown origin in front of him. After that, the surprised expression on his face deepened.

He instantly realized that no matter which part of the figure’s body he patted or hit, his own body felt the same thing. He could even feel how light or how hard he was hitting it.

It was as if he shared a body with this thing.

What was going on?

Rong Kaixuan took his hand back. It was not because he didn’t want to continue trying. It was because his body was starting to ache, so he couldn’t continue. He had been so shocked by the results earlier that he hit the body very hard a few times as an experiment. That resulted in him jumping about in pain.

There were no bruises or marks on his own body, but that terrible pain was definitely real.

After putting his hands away, Rong Kaixuan gently bit his lower lip and looked at this thing in front of him. He wasn’t able to decide what he should do about it.

For some strange reason, asking his father for help never entered his mind.

Somewhere deep inside his heart, he thought about keeping this matter a secret. He had a strange urge to make sure nobody ever found out about it.

After hesitating and pondering the matter for an entire night, he still hadn’t figured out what to do. However, thinking about it for such a long helped him arrive at a few simple conclusions.

This body was clearly tied to his. Perhaps it was something created by that Qi bubble in his head.

The most important discovery of the night was that he could apply his will to the celestial-like body and make it do anything he wanted.

He was able to make it raise its hand and walk. He suddenly realized that he could make it practice boxing.

This was certainly a big discovery. The inside of this ghostly body was identical to him. Besides being faceless and without any clear features, as long as he applied his will to the body, he could control the body like he was controlling his own body.

His room wasn’t small, and there was also a decently sized practice room next to his bedroom.

After he discovered this great secret, he became very curious. He controlled this body and made it enter the practice room. Next, he made it do one set of punches. He concluded that the strength, speed, and technique that this body displayed was no less or poorer than his skills.

If he wasn’t already fully aware that he had applied his will to this other body, he might have gotten lost in all of it.

After being all excited for the whole night, he finally took his will back from the body when the sun rose the next morning. Even though he had kept his will away, the creepy body did not suddenly collapse. It just stood where it was like it was an insentient wooden pillar.

Rong Kaixuan thought about it carefully. He decided to hide it under his bed. He pulled the bedsheets over to make sure nobody could see it.

He hadn’t slept a wink all night because he had been too excited, yet he walked out of the room with great excitement and energy.

Out of habit, he walked to the practice field in the backyard. He was about to prepare to practice his boxing when he heard his father’s voice from behind him.

“Kaixuan, you don’t have to practice boxing today.”

Rong Kaixuan was stunned and asked in surprise, “Why?”

“Hur hur, I wanted you to practice boxing because I hoped that you would be able to gather and refine true Qi and bring some glory back to this house. But…” Rong Yiyang smiled faintly as he said, “After what happened yesterday, I don’t have such thoughts anymore. As long as the three of us are living blissfully together, that is the happiest thing to me.”

When he saw how Rong Yiyang was smiling so comfortingly, Rong Kaixuan quietly hung his head.

Rong Yiyang laughed loudly and said, “I know it’s hard for you to accept it now, but once you reach my age, you will understand.” He sighed quietly and added, “Actually, there are many times when we really have no choice but to accept our fate. If it is destined, then what is yours is yours. Whatever is not yours will never be yours no matter how hard you try.”

Rong Kaixuan felt a stirring in his heart. Was what happened last night in his room part of his destiny?

Rong Yiyang patted his son’s back and said, “You are not to practice boxing anymore today, so go back to your room and have a good rest. Oh my, it’s been more than 10 years, and I’ve never let you sleep in even once. I don’t know what sort of father I’ve been.”

Rong Kaixuan returned to his room in a daze as his father pushed him along.

Even though he could tell from his father’s actions that he had put his dream aside and relaxed his attitude, Rong Kaixuan couldn’t find it in himself to feel happy about it.

For the past 10-plus years, he practiced boxing every single day. The habit was deeply etched into his bones and blood.

Gathering true Qi to become a martial arts practitioner and bring glory back to his father’s house was the ideal that he had been taught to aim for since he was born. Now, all of that had changed overnight.

This change was tremendous. Perhaps it was easier for someone like Rong Yiyang to accept and let go because he had gone through a few decades of life, but it was hard for Rong Kaixuan to accept it so easily.

He sat on a chair since he had nothing else to do. He had already pushed away all other thoughts. He was only focused on how he could gather and refine true Qi.

The past 10 years of training had made him understand that the usual way didn’t work. If he wanted to activate true Qi through his boxing, the chances were almost zero.

Everyone’s constitution was different. If his constitution had easily reached this stage, he would have become a proper martial arts practitioner a year ago already. There would have been no need to wait until now.

Since the proper and usual way didn’t work, he had to put his life in danger.

Those who practiced martial arts had their senses heightened by a hundred or even a thousand times when they were on the brink of death.

It was said that if one pulled through that sort of life-and-death situation, then one’s cultivation would be greatly increased.

As Rong Yiyang had said, after one was faced with such grave danger, many people ended up getting killed before they managed to make a breakthrough. Sometimes, one couldn’t even find traces of them ever existing. If a small fry like Rong Kaixuan wanted to enter the deep mountains and challenge powerful enemies, it was as good as sending himself there to die.

He sighed quietly. Rong Kaixuan had to admit that he didn’t have any other good methods.

His gaze shifted and landed on the wooden bed.

Rong Kaixuan suddenly leaped up from the chair. The movement was so fast it was as if he had a spring inside of him. His eyes lit up as he fixed his gaze on his wooden bed.

A very strange and extremely bold idea popped into his head.

That mysterious and strange body that seemed to have flowed out from his head didn’t have any clear features or a face, but everything else about it was identical to his own body.

The more shocking thing was that this body could be controlled by his will.

If he applied to his will to this body and made it go into the deep mountains, what would happen?

With this thought in mind, his heart started racing wildly. He couldn’t wait to give it a go.

Unfortunately, it was day time. He didn’t want this weird thing with no features to go out there and scare everyone.

He restlessly waited until night fell. Rong Kaixuan finished his dinner and hurriedly took his leave. He was practically running back to his room.

His mother asked her husband with some surprise, “When did he become so hasty?”

Rong Yiyang smiled and comforted her. He figured that the boy was still feeling emotional and would be better after a while.

No matter how much more imaginative Rong Yiyang could become, there was no way he could have been able to guess what on earth his precious son was really up to.

After returning to his room, Rong Kaixuan immediately applied his will to the body with no features. After that, he controlled the body and carefully made it leave the room. He led it toward the outside of the house.

This estate was just one of the Rong family’s countless properties. It was a small and insignificant piece of land. There were no powerful martial arts practitioners around there to guard or keep the place under control. Rong Yiyang was considered the most powerful person around only because he had practiced boxing before.

Since he had learned boxing from Rong Yiyang and his skills were not any poorer than his father’s, Rong Kaixuan easily avoided detection as he nimbly leaped over the high wall of the house and left the place.

Once he made it out of the house, he quickly started running like crazy.

This time, he wasn’t going into the coppice at the front of the house. Instead, he was headed for the deep mountains at the back that nobody within the estate dared to enter.

There was a huge mountain range behind the house.

The mountain range stretched a long distance. Nobody in the Rong family could tell him how vast the range was.

Such a huge mountain range naturally nurtured countless powerful practitioners.

It was said that an ancestor of the Rong family had an agreement with a leader in these mountains and had made the entrance to the mountains a border gate to a different territory. Only those humans or spiritual beasts that had reached a certain level of cultivation and above could cross the border and go into a different territory.

That was why everything in this estate remained peaceful despite not having any powerful practitioners to guard the area. Everything was peaceful, and they had never had any beast invasion before.

Rong Kaixuan continued to control the featureless body as it flew through the forest quickly.

He was pleasantly surprised to find that the body had a very strong constitution. It seemed much better and stronger than his own. It was particularly strong in the area of stamina, which was an advantage that he found hard to attain.

As the body was consuming energy while running, it was also taking in energy from the world outside of it to replace its consumed energy.

If he had been unable to use this tremendous advantage to its highest potential and development, that would have been a great sin.

After running for a long time, Rong Kaixuan suddenly stopped.

He had run quite a fair distance. Even though he could still feel that his body was safe, he didn’t dare go any further.

He still sensed that there was danger around him.

He felt like something was hiding in the darkness of the forest and watching him with terrifying eyes.

This was a feeling that came over him with no reason, but it was a strong and very real feeling.

Rong Kaixuan squatted down and moved into a defensive position. After he looked one around one full round, the faceless body suddenly stared in one particular direction.

He clenched his fists tightly and stood firmly with his feet apart. His body exuded a great desire to throw punches.
