The luscious trees full of green leaves on the mountain were swaying wildly in the wind and making a flapping sound. It looked like a huge and ferocious mountain cat arching its back to scare its enemies. The birds had flown away with the wind and became scattered black dots in the sky. The tall grass on the steep cliffside was like countless spears being held up high and dancing in the wind.

“Awoooooh…”

A chilling howling sound suddenly filled the air. A huge wolf the size of a calf emerged.

Regardless of its howl or its movements, it seemed like this huge wolf was in a panic.

The huge wolf turned around and panted heavily. Its fierce and sly eyes carried a tinge of fear.

Suddenly, a figure whooshed by like a bat, gliding through the wind with its wings outstretched as it kept close to the tall grass and flew toward the huge wolf.

The huge wolf howled again. It opened its large mouth and gathered a rush of white air in its mouth.

After that, it spat the mouthful of air out without hesitation.

At this point, the figure that was flying toward the wolf seemed to know that it was going to do that. It suddenly moved aside in mid-air and managed to dodge the attack.

Pak!

The rush of air crashed against a large tree and burst, releasing the energy in the air.

A chill instantly filled the air. It seemed as if the temperature of their surroundings had plunged. The huge tree that was hit exploded and revealed a frightening white hole where the air had hit it.

The figure continued to move like lightning. It didn’t seem the least bit affected by what had just happened.

It instantly arrived at the huge wolf’s side and sent out a punch as quick as a lightning toward its stomach.

The huge wolf let out another furious howl and started to fight with the figure.

The huge wolf was a Magical Beast living in the mountains, and its supernatural heritage had given it extraordinary strength. Recently, its life had been greatly disrupted because it had run into a very tricky rival.

This thing looked like a human, and it had unknowingly crossed into the huge wolf’s territory.

When they met the first time, the huge wolf had easily bitten this thing’s arm off and severely injured it. The figure had quickly run away, and the wolf wasn’t bothered enough to give chase.

The wolf had not expected this to be only the beginning of its nightmare.

The next day, that same figure appeared in front of the huge wolf again. On top of that, the figure’s injuries were fully healed and the missing arm had grown back.

The huge wolf was furious at this and attacked again. Somehow, his opponent’s abilities seemed to have risen in level. Even though the wolf managed to severely injure it again, it still managed to escape.

It returned on the third day, as well as the fourth day. Eventually, it turned up every day for an entire month to fight it out with the huge wolf.

What terrified the huge wolf was that its opponent’s ability had improved at a terrifying speed. Even if the wolf fought it with all its might, it was now only at the same level as its opponent.

“Ahhhh-ooooh…”

The huge wolf finally let out a sad howl and ran off with its tail between its legs to move somewhere else.

It had no desire to fight with this sort of thing that didn’t seem to die and kept pestering it every day. Thus, the wolf was willing to give up its territory to get away.

After the figure watched the huge wolf leave, it didn’t chase after it.

It continued to stand quietly within the wolf’s home. The air within it continued to surge.

After an hour, the air within its body suddenly became more powerful. It seemed to give off a strong sort of glow.

This process continued for a while before slowly calming down.

Even though its appearance didn’t change much, the energy within its body had improved tremendously.

It looked around and left the wolf’s home to go even deeper into the dense forest with steady steps.

Rong Kaixuan was quietly sitting inside the courtyard sensing the Spirit Power of Heaven and Earth around him when he suddenly frowned.

He felt that his body was becoming a little warm. It was as if something had happened. It distracted him, so he wasn’t able to focus anymore.

Rong Kaixuan opened his eyes and stood up with a frown.

After thinking through it for a while, he walked to an empty space in the courtyard, clenched his fists, and went into an attack stance. Afterward, he deeply exhaled and sent a punch out.

The wind of the punch was cold and carried a murderous air around it.

The punch was unstoppable. It was as if the floodgates had been opened.

Rong Kaixuan’s fists were like the wind, and his body was light as he displayed every move from the Rong clan’s basic boxing techniques.

Yet, this set of boxing techniques seemed to have changed in his hands.

He was able to release the true meaning behind these boxing techniques and seemed to be giving life to them.

After 15 minutes, Rong Kaixuan relaxed his fists and stood up. He deeply exhaled. There was a look of pleasant surprise in his eyes.

He had practiced these boxing techniques for about 10 years now, and he was extremely familiar with all the techniques.

All these years, he had never felt so good after a round of boxing. That fluid and smooth movement made him lose himself in boxing.

After watching himself throw these punches, he became very puzzled.

Since when was his constitution for martial arts so good?

Even though he knew very little about the path of a Martial Artist, he was still pretty sure that if he could box with that sort of air and presence in the first place, he would have cultivated True Qi a long time ago.

He frowned and felt that somehow this change in his own body had something to do with that Spirit Body he left behind, but he couldn’t quite explain what the relation was.

He sat down cross-legged, closed his eyes, and released his will.

He was extremely far away from the Spirit Body dwelling in the deep mountains, so there was no way he would have been able to detect it at his current level. Somewhere deep inside, a mysterious and undetectable energy was able to help them sense each other’s existence.

Rong Kaixuan’s body suddenly trembled violently.

The moment his will connected with the Spirit Body, a huge amount of information came in from the Spirit Body.

Many images started appearing in his mind.

It was as if he had become the Spirit Body and was cultivating Martial Arts in the deep mountains.

At that moment, he had become the Spirit Body and the Spirit Body was him.

In the deep mountains, he had run into several dangers. Since the Spirit Body was extremely sensitive to danger, that keen sense had saved his life several times.

He continued to walk through the deep mountains without needing food, drink, or rest.

Since it was a Spirit Body, as long as there was still Spirit Power of Heaven and Earth around it, that would become an endless energy source for the Spirit Body.

This Special Spirit Body fighter could keep fighting nonstop in the deep mountains and continue to grow and improve through the constant fighting.

He met a very terrifying huge wolf that could breathe icy white balls of energy.

The difference in their power was vast. When they first met, the Spirit Body was nearly wiped out by the wolf.

As long as the Spirit Body did not die on the spot, it was able to automatically absorb Spirit Power and return to its original level of energy.

After several battles, the Spirit Body finally won the victory and chased the huge wolf out of its own home.

After Rong Kaixuan had “watched” the changes in this Spirit Body, he was sure that this fellow had already made it past the Elementary Stage and was now a Middle Stage Martial Artist.

He was shocked and impressed. It had only been one month, yet it had been able to go from Elementary Stage to Middle Stage already.

That sort of speed was considered terrifying.

Special Spirit Bodies that advanced in level were the best fighters in the world.

A huge number of scenes continued to flash through Rong Kaixuan’s mind. He was shocked to find that after he had gone through all these scenes in his mind, there was something in his own body that began to change.

Even though the amount of True Qi within himself had not gone up much, the energy he felt inside seemed to have gone through countless battles of life and death. He felt renewed from those experiences.

Of course, it was merely a feeling. It was impossible to use words to fully describe what happened.

Suddenly, Rong Kaixuan’s heart sensed something. He opened his eyes. There was a cold glint in his eyes as he stared in a particular direction.

An old man had quietly arrived without him knowing.

He silently stood there and seemed to be one with nature. If one did not look carefully, it was difficult to even spot him.

Rong Kaixuan’s expression changed slightly. He immediately got up. He bowed to greet the old man. “Grandpa.”

Rong Jielin nodded slowly. There was a strange look in his eyes as he stared at his grandson.

Rong Kaixuan scratched his head and cautiously asked, “Grandpa, did I do something wrong?”

Even though they had acknowledged each other recently, they got along very well. Perhaps it was because Rong Jielin was trying to make up for the ten-odd years that he regretted not knowing his grandson, but he was very indulgent toward this particular grandson of his. Even the youngest grandchild, Rong Kailong, had been jealous of that several times.

Rong Jielin slowly shook his head and replied, “Kaixuan, were you really the one who displayed those boxing techniques earlier?”

Rong Kaixuan was surprised by this question and didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. “Grandpa, I’m standing right in front of you.”

“That’s right.” Rong Jielin’s lips twitched. He suddenly said, “Kaixuan, exchange a few moves with me.”

“What?” Rong Kaixuan was horrified and looked at his grandfather with disbelief.

Rong Jielin was a Peak Stage Martial Teacher and was about to hit Gifted Fighter stage. There was no way he stood a chance against his grandfather at all.

Rong Jielin burst out laughing and said, “I’m just feeling restless and want to play with you.”

Rong Kaixuan breathed a sigh of relief. He had just received all the experience and power from the Spirit Body, so there was also an urge within him to fight it out with someone.

He nodded gravely and said, “Grandpa, please be kind to me.”

He took a step forward swung a punch forward.

Their difference in ability was too much. If Rong Kaixuan didn’t give it his best shot, he was overestimating himself.

Rong Jielin’s eyes shifted. He dodged the attack as quickly as a ghost. A Peak Stage Martial Arts Teacher was way stronger than an Elementary Stage Martial Artist. Just like he had said, he wanted to exchange some moves for fun only.

Rong Jielin waved his hand gently and pointed one finger toward his grandson’s shoulder.

That one finger was as strong as a thousand hammers. If that finger reached Rong Kaixuan’s shoulder, there was no way Rong Kaixuan was going to be able to move.

Just before his finger could reach his grandson’s shoulder, Rong Kaixuan twisted himself to the side and managed to dodge the finger at the last moment.

It happened in a split second. Rong Kaixuan barely made it, but the finger never reached him.

“Oh?”

Rong Jielin raised his eyebrows slightly. There was a look of surprise in his eyes.

He hadn’t seen wrong earlier. This grandson of his was hiding the true spirit of a Martial Artist within him.
