Gu Qingxin had been looking everywhere for Peng Pan, but she seemed to have evaporated into thin air. There had been no news of Peng Pan.
Even the Peng family had moved away, their little apartment was now occupied by another tenant.

Gu Qingxin had grown up to become a gorgeous lady. Yet, as Lin Yin stared at the simple and beautiful lady before her, she felt afraid.

At the Gu family mansion, Gu Yunci walked toward her parents’ bedroom with a bowl of bird’s nest soup in her hands. The door was not completely shut, and as she neared their room, she heard noises that made her face turn red and her heartbeat quicken.
She self-consciously made her footsteps as soft as possible as she approached the door. She peeked through the gap.
Gu Yunci only returned to her senses when the deed was done. With her face tinged pink and her heart racing, she left.
“Yunci, what are you doing?” Zhou Manting’s voice rang out and startled Gu Yunci.
“Mom, why did you come out here? Aren’t you and dad…”
Zhou Manting furrowed her eyebrows. “Were you peeking at us?”
“I didn’t mean to. I wanted to bring you some bird’s nest soup, but the door wasn’t closed…” Gu Yunci immediately explained herself, her face unbelievably red. She felt awkward after witnessing her parents being intimate.
“What you saw is no big deal. After all, you’re a grown woman now, and this isn’t much. Remember this, learning how to pleasure men is an important skill set. You need to learn some techniques in the future as well… Just take Lin Yin for example, so what if she has a pretty face? No man likes a woman who’s like a dead fish in bed!”

She rolled her eyes, filled another bowl with bird’s nest soup, and started making her way to Tang Rongling’s room.

The following day, Lin Yin took her daughter to the Gu family mansion.
When they entered the mansion, there were already people in the living room. A group of well-dressed people were chatting away.
The laughter in the room vanished upon the arrival of Lin Yin and Gu Qingxin. Everyone turned their gazes to the mother and daughter.
“Mother,” Lin Yin took the initiative to greet Old Madam Gu. After all, Old Madam Gu was an elder, and it was only right that Lin Yin behaved courteously.
