Xia Changyue’s phone rang suddenly just as she was hesitating about what to do. She was dazed for a few seconds when she saw the name on the Caller ID. Then she picked up the phone.
“You are back, Brother Chenxu?”
“I have just touched down today. Where are you now? I would like to see you.” An Chengxu said with a soothing voice.
Xia Changyue was stunned before saying, “Great. I need your help now.”
“Then we shall meet at the cafe we met up previously. We shall discuss more when we meet.” An Chengxu said succinctly and then put down the phone.
Xia Changyue bit her lips and hid the hesitation in her eyes. Then she walked back into the room.
“Pack your stuff, Hanhan. Mommy is bringing you to a different place.”
“King Hanhan and Big Brother Han. Choose one.” The little guy said with a severe tone of voice. He climbed down from the sofa and hung the phone back to his neck.
“Alright, Big Brother Han, Little Yueyue wants to bring you out. Are you willing to go with me?”
“I will sort of agree because you are pretty, but you are going to carry me.” The little guy raised his handsome and delicate face up proudly and reached out his arms to Xia Changyue.
Xia Changyue stepped forward and carried his cuddly body. He leaned on her shoulder and rubbed his face against her neck.
He leaned on her shoulder, just like a sloth.
Xia Changyue carried him and his little luggage before taking a taxi to the cafe.
“Hello, Miss. May I ask how many of you will be here today?” The front desk receptionist asked politely.
“I am looking for someone.”
Xia Changyue saw a handsome figure standing up at a corner seat slowly just as she spoke. He waved his long fingers at her.
He wore a white handmade bespoke suit. His handsome features and relaxed manners made people feel comfortable around him.
“Brother Chenxu”
Xia Changyue immediately carried Little Hanhan, who was already asleep and walked over to him.
“Please excuse my tardiness.” Xia Changyue said apologetically.
“It is me who is early. Have a seat first.” An Chenxu walked behind her and pulled out a chair for her thoughtfully.
His body stiffened when he saw the little guy leaning on her shoulder. Then as if nothing was amiss, he said, “So is he Hanhan?”
“Hmm.” Xia Changyue nodded. She was slightly embarrassed that she didn’t know what to say.
The waiter sent the drinks just in time to relieve the awkwardness.
“I have ordered your favorite cappuccino. Enjoy.” An Chenxu diverted the conversation topic quickly.
He was always this sensitive and considerate.
Xia Changyue looked at him gratefully and said, “Thank you.”
“I rushed back when I heard about what happened to you overseas. Are you okay?” An Chenxu looked at her with a worried look.
Xia Changyue knew that An Chenxu was talking about the breach of contract of the script. She decided to go straight to the point.
“I am fine. However, I had this feeling that there was something not right about what happened. I hope you could help me investigate.” Xia Changyue took out the previous contract that she kept from her bag. “I remembered very clearly that this is not the contract that I had signed with Yan Corporation. I just don’t know when it was switched. I want to know who set me up.”
“Okay, I will investigate for you,” there was a gleam in An Chenxu’s eyes. He kept the contract and looked at the little guy in her arms.
“What about him? What do you intend to do about him?”
