Xia Changyue decided to stop looking around as though she was a child who had entered a forbidden area by mistake.

She bit her lips. Her legs seemed to have a mind of their own as she walked straight toward the desk.
She wanted to tear up this document and eradicate it. This would get her out of her predicament. However, since Yan Chengchi allowed her to go to his office, didn’t this mean he was willing to return the contract to her?
Just as she was hesitating, she overheard footsteps coming from the other side of the door. Immediately, she heard the secretary’s voice say, “You are back, Mr. President?”
Xia Changyue jumped up like a startled rabbit, but her gaze remained on that piece of document.

He casually removed his suit jacket and hung it on a clothing rack at the side. Then he loosened his tie with his long, slender fingers and sat behind the desk.
He flipped open his laptop, then, he took a file from the desk and started reading it.
The room became quiet suddenly. There were no sounds at all, and it made Xia Changyue feel very oppressed.
She grabbed that contract as though her life depended on it, but slowly, her attention was drawn towards Yan Chengchi.
His presence was even more intimidating than four years ago. Xia Changyue couldn’t even look at him properly in the morning.
Now, she could size him up to her heart’s content.
His facial features appeared sharper and more determined than four years ago. They were almost mesmerizingly perfect.
Seductive eyes, long and straight nose, coupled with a little smirk, all these made him look unexplainably dangerous.
