She couldn’t stop herself from smiling when she saw Yan Chengchi walking away and ignored Xia Changyue.
“My business has nothing to do with you. You better protect your face that just had botox. I am worried the audience will notice the difference if it got splashed with more glasses of cold beer.”
Xia Changyue frowned and looked at Jiang Mingna, who wouldn’t let things go.
“You are asking for it!” Jiang Mingna was incensed as if someone had hit her Achilles heel.
She turned and looked at the Director.
“Ï guess you don’t know yet, Director Wang? This woman had offended Young Master Chi. You better not touch her script. Besides that, anyone close to her will be jinxed. Her parents ended up in hospital half-dead because of her. I advise you to stay away from her to avoid trouble…”
“Are you done, Jiang Mingna?”
Xia Changyue reached out and grabbed her hand with a long face.
She had enough of Jiang Mingna’s sarcasm for the past four years, but it was different for others.
Xia Changyue saw that Director Wang began to look hesitant after hearing Jiang Mingna. How she wished she could keep Jiang Mingna’s mouth shut.

Nobody would offend an investor who was an immensely influential financial tycoon for an insignificant scriptwriter like her.

She had no idea how to persuade Yan Chengchi. She only knew that if she couldn’t sell her script’s copyright today, everybody in the entertainment industry would know she had offended Yan Chengchi tomorrow.
By then, nobody would buy her scripts no matter how good they were.
“Your script is not bad, Miss Xia, but I am afraid I cannot sign the contract. I am sorry, please look for someone else.” Director Wang’s stern face began to look impatient.
“Director Wang…”
“Why do you keep calling Director Wang? Are you trying to pull strings because you think you are pretty? Are you trying to do the casting couch so the Director will speak for you?” Jiang Mingna saw an opportunity and added sarcastically.
She adjusted her bathrobe and looked at the Director.
“Congratulations on making the right decision, Director Wang. A woman like her is capable of doing anything to climb her way up. If Young Master Chi heard any rumors, he might think you have a close relationship with her, and that will be very bad.”
