They were filming in the studio, so Xia Changyue didn’t have a chance to speak. Thus, she decided to stand at the side and assess Yan Changchi secretly.

Jiang Mingna was never a considerate person, in her opinion. Only she would believe in an excuse, such as worrying about the production’s schedule.
Xia Changyue blinked and looked at Yan Chengchi.
Jiang Mingna must be trying to impress him.
“What do you think, Young Master Chi?” The director looked at Yan Chengchi and asked respectfully.
“This is your territory, do as you please.” Yan Chengchi said coldly. His deep black eyes focused on the camera’s screen monitor, as though he was really concerned about the movie he had invested in.
Only Xia Changyue noticed that he was angry.
However, she, too, had no idea what he was angry about.
The director was relieved to hear that. “Tell her to get ready then. We will shoot the indoor parts first. Mingna is an actress with great potential; her performance is riveting.”
“Oh, yes? Then we should really take a good look.” Yan Chengchi’s lips curled into a smirk.
“The scene is set, and everyone is ready and on standby, director…” The crew on location reported via the walkie-talkie.
“Camera standby, we are ready to start.”
The set immediately became quiet after the director commanded.
Jiang Mingna was playing a young metropolitan professional who had just fallen out of love. The scene they were shooting was about the character as she went into a pub to drink her sorrows away but got into an altercation instead. She was pushed and tumbled onto the floor and eventually saved by her Mr. Right.
Just as the director shouted ready for action, Yan Chengchi, who had been quiet the whole time, spoke suddenly.
“The female lead fell to the ground so easily. Isn’t she too weak?”
“…”
The director was momentarily stupefied, but he recovered himself quickly and asked Yan Chengchi respectfully, “What does Young Master Chi have in mind?”
“Since the female lead had the altercation in a pub, it is more reasonable that someone would throw a mug of beer at her, right?”
“This…” The director was hesitant. After all Jiang Mingna had the support of the Jiang family, all hell would break loose if she had a beer thrown at her.
