“This isn’t the contract that I had received in the first place because somebody must have switched them, so I will compensate Yan Corporation’s losses if you return me the contract.”
Xia Changyue grasped the bedsheets tightly with both hands and looked pleadingly at the man who wielded immense power in the financial world.
This was her only chance! She could not go to jail!
“You have one last sentence,” he said with a cold expression. It was as if he was not even listening to her.
He took a flirtatious glance at Xia Changyue’s ashen face. He curled his lips slightly into a smirk as if sneering at her naivete.

Xia Changyue’s almond-shaped eyes grew even wider as she stared at his indifferent expression. She began to panic.
“You had already bedded me. I should at least have the contract back!”
The ambiance in the room became ominous immediately when she made that comment.
Yan Chengchi instantly narrowed his eyes and glared at her with a cold, piercing gaze. His anger was without reason.
He strode toward her and reached out suddenly to grasp her chin. He almost crushed her bones and caused her excruciating pain when he squeezed his fingers tightly.
“Xia Changyue, it’s only been four years since we last met, and you had already degenerated to this pathetic state?!”

Xia Changyue was in pain. She attempted to slap his hand off subconsciously. However, she stopped herself as she remembered that he still had the contract. She clenched her teeth in silence.

Yan Chengchi peered at her coldly and then released his hands abruptly. He took out a handkerchief to wipe his long slender fingers as if he had touched something dirty.
“I remembered you threw yourself at me last night, so what’s all these have to do with me?” His lips parted slightly into a devilish, chilling smile.
