I Hate You, Devil! - Chapter 130

"But boss, do you think you could even… I mean well, you always end up being a helpless melted chocolate when it comes to Miss Luo so how do you even plan to become the diamond drill?" a certain someone from the back had spoken, breaking the silence inside the spacious room.

Yu Chen's men all glanced at Gu Wei but unexpectedly, this time, all of them was not against him. Well, they watched their boss since the day he met Luo Xiaolei and it was just too hard for them to even imagine him suddenly acting all possessive and forceful now. They were so used with his adorable helplessness when it came to his fiancée and deep within them, they kind of want their boss to stay as he was.

The men who had stayed with him for a long time had seen all his coldness and ruthlessness, so seeing him occasionally turn into a mushy and out of character fluffy creature every time Luo Xiaolei was around was such a breath of fresh air to all of them. In short, Yu Chen's men didn't want him to become the forceful diamond drill, they want him to stay as the sweet chocolate that he was and melt Luo Xiaolei's heart in his own adorable way.

"What if Miss Luo don't like it if you suddenly become forceful?" the nosy Gu Wei added and as expected, the intensity in Yu Chen's eyes slightly dimmed.

"I…" Yu Chen started. He seemed to have been struck by the lightning of reality but still, there was no hint of him backing down either. "I'll figure it out myself." He continued and just like that, the talk was over.

Zaki didn't stop him anymore. He just patted Yu Chen's back and wished him good luck as he grinned at him while Yu Chen's men were whispering at each other.

"How about we have a bet?" Gu Wei was the one who started a commotion. "I will bet that big boss can't do it."

"Huh? What do you mean by he can't do it?"

"Oh c'mon, I know you guys know what I mean. That boss of ours is still a puppy, still far from a big bad wolf. I can only imagine him wagging his tail before Miss Luo while the Miss is petting his head ya'know? It's still a long way to go for him as of now. So? Who's with me?"

"Hey, instead of betting, why don't you think about what we could do to help him? Everyone is aware of this right? That once the boss failed in making Miss Luo fall for him, it's doomsday for us too!"

"… err, somehow, that's the most chilling statement I have ever heard lately."

"Then take this seriously and think about something we could do! Or are we going to just sit here and watch?"

Scarlet Hill…

"Will you be alright going there?" Little Rui was looking at Luo Xiaolei with a worried look. Ranran who was standing right behind Rui also had the same expression.

Luo Xiaolei had told the kids that she will go to her house to get something important but she didn't expect them to be this worried.

Crouching down before the two sweet little boys, Luo Xiaolei smiled as she caressed their soft cheeks.

"Don't worry about mommy, okay? I'll be right back." She assured, kissing the boys' goodbye.

"Be careful mommy," Rui said as they waved at her, a gesture Luo Xiaolei responded with a flying kiss.

After watching their mother left, the twins entered the house and headed to the living room to continue the piece of art they had been working on. The boys were both painting a tree. Rui was painting a green and leafy one while Ran was painting a dead, leafless one.

They were both talented in art as well that the butler who was watching them didn't have anything to say but mere praises.

Time passed and Rui was the first to finish his piece. He was yawning and stretching his arms when his eyes circled. Through the glass window, he saw a familiar black car that had just stopped by the entrance and the first word he uttered was…

"Daddy?"

Ranran's head snapped towards the direction his brother was looking at as soon as he heard him and he too was stunned. They both knew that that car wasn't their mother's and it's impossible for them not to recognized that particular black car.

As if a button had just pressed, the twins nippily stood and immediately run towards the entrance.

When they saw their daddy stepped out of the car, before the man could even see them, Rui yelled.

"Daddy!!!!" The moment Yu Chen heard Rui's voice, he turned and his eyes widened in surprise. He saw the boys already running towards him and he was pretty taken a back. However, the first thing he did was crouched down and spread his arms wide, as if this was something so natural for him.

The twins went straight in his arms and embraced him. "Daddy, where have you been? We missed you so much." Rui said as he pulled away while Ranran just buried his face on Yu Chen's neck, not letting the man go.

The seemingly ancient frost in Yu Chen's eyes immediately melted the instant he heard what the boy had said and he embraced the twins again. He felt like he was back to life and he couldn't describe how he felt. He was overwhelmed.

"I'm sorry for making you wait." He could only utter. "Don't worry, I'm not going to leave again."

"Really?!" Little Rui exclaimed and Yu Chen nodded as he caressed their heads.

After speaking with the boys for another while, Yu Chen finally asked about Luo Xiaolei's whereabouts. "Where's your mom?" for some reason, he seemed a bit tensed as he asked.

"Mommy just left, she said she will go to her house to get something important." Little Rui answered when Yu Chen's head dropped. He looked obviously disappointed that the person he was missing the most wasn't there.

"I see…" he sighed but after a second, his eyes lit and he touched the boys' shoulders. "I'll go fetch your mother so wait for us here, okay?" Yu Chen said and his supportive allies quickly agreed.

"Mm. We will wait here. Go get mommy, daddy!" Rui cheered while Ranran nodded like a rattle.

Them, being so adorably supportive as they pushed him to go and get their mother made Yu Chen smile.

And thus, just like that, the convoy that just arrived few minutes ago, left again.
