How to Connect my Brothers Together - Chapter 2

Chapter 2

It’s really impractical to wear white uniforms considering how easily white clothes get dirty with the amount of times you have to wear it everyday.

Samwon High School is located in Seoul, and it’s so large that people would question,

“Is this how big high schools are in Seoul?”

The school is the same size as a university. It contains two gyms, a sports ground, and a field. Near the dormitory, there is a park for walking as well as a library.

For classrooms, first and second graders use one building together while the third graders use a seperate building.

Anyways, after receiving the acceptance announcement, we sold all of the furniture of our house to a market place. I was a little worried about vacations because I would be spending my time in a dormitory during it, but I couldn’t continue paying the rent here. I don’t have the money to afford it.

With everything discarded and sold, the only thing left in the room was my bag.

The deposit was not very small, but I felt a little reassured because it was a small amount of money that the buyer gave us.

‘Let’s think about the college admission fee for Hui-Bin.’

Whether he knew my determination or not, Hui-Bin stroked my head out of habit as he said,

“Let’s go.”

“Yeah.”

I felt a little nervous and gripped onto my bag tightly.

Hui-Bin laughed and held my opposite hand, causing my heart to feel warmed and tickled.

It seemed to relieve my tension.

“You will be alright.”

Hui-Bin said, as if he had seen right through my heart. He then took the lead.

It took about 20 minutes of riding the bus and 15 minutes of walking to arrive at school.

With Hui-Bin’s mouth wide open, he looked around at the school buildings. Then he briefly explained to me some things about the buildings.

He then took me to the front of the girl’s dormitory and said:

“I’ll call you later. I need to go drop off my luggage.”

“Yes, I understand.”

I nodded and then headed into the dormitory. There was only one building, so I was able to easily find my way to the dormitory section I was assigned to. I opened the door with my student ID card and went on inside.

From the hallway, I took the elevator to my room as I admired the surroundings around me. It felt like I was in a hotel.

Amazing! What type of dorm is this!? Upon entering my room, I opened my eyes widely. When I thought of a dorm, I thought of a single room containing two beds and a desk and two…

However, when I opened the dorm, I was greeted with a large living room. The living room contained two rooms and a bathroom.

This would be considered very ordinary if I were rich, but it looked like a hotel to me after spending months in a single room.

There’s a living room.. As well as a seperated room for me!

I looked around the dorm carefully. There was no kitchen so it was impossible to cook, but there was a microwave and a port on one side of the room.

The two bedrooms looked exactly the same and contained basic furniture. A bed, a desk, a drawer, and a closet. Although the furniture looked basic, it seemed to be made of strong wood.

“Hehehehehe.”

I jumped onto the bed and sat down. It’s been a long time since I’ve felt the feeling of a soft bed.

As I was jumping around, I heard the front door opening. I quickly left my room and came out to see my new roommate coming into the front door.

Oh my god, she looked so beautiful!

She had dark and flowing blue hair, dark blue eyes, with skin as white as snow, and a thin body. Her whole presence screamed of innocence.

‘If you don’t fall in love with her at first sight, you can’t be considered a man!’ I had a strange feeling, and immediately wondered if I was seeing the female protagonist.

“Ah, hello?”

This was the first time in my life I had seen someone so gorgeous. I was a little nervous and waved my hand to greet her.

“My name is Kang Han-Joo.”

Kang Han-Joo?

“Uh, I’m Baek Hui-Ah. You can just drop the honorifics because we’re classmates.”

“Thank you, I’m more comfortable this way, you can also talk to me without the honorifics.”

I smiled refreshingly and nodded.

“Then, I’ll go now so you can settle in and relax. I put my luggage in the room over there, but if you want to use it instead, we can switch.”

She shook her head and looked at me for a moment, as if she was surprised to see me speaking right away. She then responded,

“No, it’s fine.”

With that, she dragged her suitcase that seemed pretty heavy into her room. I looked at the expensive brand’s logo and then shrugged my shoulders.

Well, my suitcase was bigger. In addition,This is a BL novel, so there can’t be a female protagonist. Whoo… even a pretty girl like her is an extra.

After confirming my thoughts, I let out a laugh and headed into my room with a grin.

I took out a shirt, socks, underwear, and a few plain pieces of clothing together. I then took out a writing utensil.

I’m really starting from nothing… Now that I think about it, what do you do when you don’t have any money? I crossed my arms and tilted my head.

Whether this is a novel or not, I need money to survive. It is necessary for a student to earn money and use them for workbooks, writing instruments, clothes, school meals, and supplies. I have to get a part-time job or something right now.

I pushed aside my thoughts for now and opened the closet door, taking a good look at my face through the mirror attached to the closet. Hui-Bin was very handsome, and Hui-Ah was also a beauty.

She looked very similar to Hui-Bin, but contained brighter chocolate colored hair and eyes. She gave off the vibe of a strong woman, rather than being soft and thin like Kang Han-Joo, whom I have just met.

At a glance, you could tell she had the beauty of a villainess. Her eyes were the similar shape of a cat that gave off the feeling of a person with a bad temper.

Her hair was naturally wavy and stopped right at the collarbone. The interesting thing about her hair is that it’s straight near the top and becomes wavy starting from the bottom of her ear, just like a wave perm.

Why are her curls so pretty? This is the power of being a character from a novel. I would be overjoyed if my hair was curly like hers.

I pulled the corners of my mouth, forming a smile. I looked a little funny but quite cute. However, I’m the type of person who doesn’t smile often, so my normal appearance looks a little arrogant.

Well, I wonder who will look at me and think so though.

When I saw Kang Han-Joo, I felt that she is very beautiful. Besides, this is a BL novel, right? It won’t work, maybe.

I closed the closet door and looked at the calendar on my desk. I entered the dormitory in advance, so the entrance ceremony will be tomorrow. It seems that the full-scale “OT*” will also be included in the entrance ceremony.

(TN: “OT” is orientation for the people within the same university department. OT’s are centred on conveying the necessary information about campus life, such as course registration, specific classes, and annual events. The students are introduced to department’s professors.Definition from Wikipedia)

‘I know I’m poor… so how did he afford a smartphone like this?!’ Even though I wanted to sell it, Hui-Bin stopped me. Hui-Ah’s brother is too kind, he spoils his younger sister too much. Tsk Tsk.

(I think she is on Kakao Talk)

Wow..

Is she staying in a dorm?

Aaaah..

She’s so beautiful!

Is she prettier than Han-Joo?

Gorgeous. No doubt she is 100 times prettier than Kang Han-Joo.

Do you know who she is?

I think Han-Joo is Kang Han-Gyeom’s sister.

OMG?! Really??

“How wonderful!”

I muttered and looked at my phone.

Hui-Bin is the vice president. Just like any comic books and inso, the student council of Samwon High School is a powerful organization doing quite a few things. There are six students in the student council. All of them are guys except for one. If you have read a lot of BL novels, you will already be familiar with this scenario.

That’s right.. all of them will “fall in love” with my brother. In short, it’s the gay harem student council.

The student council president of course, is the male lead, Han-Gyeom. The only girl in the student council is Han-Joo. Will the first grader hold the student council election as soon as they enter?

Nope, by the way, I can’t believe that I can finally remember some important information about the novel. However, I still can’t remember a few important things that will be impacting me, but the details in the novel were vague.

Wait, I just realized in one week he will be my future brother-in-law! Wow~! I need to start getting along with him quickly. Just then, my phone rang. Someone was calling me.

“Brother?”

-Come out when you have finished organizing and unpacking everything. Let’s eat together.

“Okay, I got it. Where should I meet you?”

-Meet me at the dormitory entrance.

“Alright.”

I left my bedroom with my cellphone and wallet. I hesitated for a second at the front door before I said loudly,

“Han-Joo, I’ll be right back!”

I decided it would be weird if I went out without saying anything since we will be living in the same dorm. Anyways, after informing Han-Joo, I went out.

It was March, but it was still very cold. I just shrugged my shoulders and went down the elevator. The entrance to the dormity was only accessible by card. As soon as I opened the door and exited out, I saw Hui-Bin near the entrance waving his hand.

“There you are.”

“Oh, brother.. huh?”

My brother was in his school uniform waving at me, and next to him was a man in plain clothing. He was wearing jeans and a half coat. He looked like my brother, but a little taller. He had dark blue hair and was asian with deep blue eyes.

Just by looking at his face, I could tell he was the male lead. Hui-Bin introduced him with a smile,

“This is Kang Han-Gyeom, who works in the student council with me. Kang Han-Gyeom, as I told you beforehand, this is my sister.”

As soon as I heard the words Kang Han-Gyeom come out of my brother’s mouth, I thought in my head, ‘Just as I expected!’ Of course, I hid this thought and smiled naturally.

“Hello, I’ve heard a lot about you. Nice to meet you.”

Kang Han-Gyeom greeted me and nodded.

My brother pricked Kang Han-Gyeom’s side.

“Kang Han-Gyeon is a very blunt guy.”

“Um, anyways.. brother, is he coming with us?”

“Just call me brother Han-Gyeom, and yes, I will be going together to eat with you guys.”

Is this guy paying for us? No, because of proper etiquettes, that wouldn’t be right.. So is he looking for us to pay for him? It isn’t a big deal if we have another mouth to feed, right?

Yeah, it won’t be a big deal since it’s between friends. Alright, that’s what I’m going to do.

We were just going to go eat, but if there’s a guest, we can’t just ask him to eat cheap foods.

At the very least, we should go eat at the ‘Bunsik House,’ but.. it’ll cost a lot more to pay, won’t it? Besides, this is Han-Gyeom…

“Oh, right. Shall we also ask Han-Joo to eat with us?”

Hui-Bin saw my hesitation to reply and asked to Han-Gyeom instead,

“Your sister and my sister are sharing dorms.”

Han-Gyeom raised his eyebrows, it seemed that he was surprised with my brother’s words. Hey! Say it, say it! Don’t talk with your face.

“I’ll call her.”

Han-Gyeom took out his phone and called his sister. After the call, he seemed to be sweating a lot.

“She’s coming down.”

Hui-Bin and I were talking about trivial matters and our new dormitories as our new dorms were really nice. After a bit of talking with my brother, Han-Joo came out.

She was also dressed in plain clothing. Han-Joo came up to us and politely bowed to Hui-Bin. She then stood side by side with Han-Gyeom. I looked at them with admiration.

“They are really good looking siblings.”

Han-Gyeom and Han-Joo gave me a strange look after hearing my words, as Hui-Bin laughed while holding onto my shoulders.

“Aren’t we also good looking siblings like them?” (I think this is Hui-Bin talking)

“Brother…”

Han-Gyeom jumped in and said,

“Stop saying nonsense, let’s go.”

“Where are we going?”

I asked, looking up at my brother instead of Han-Gyeom who had just spoken. Hui-Bin smiled and replied,

“Cafeteria.”

There were several people eating and hanging out at the cafeteria as it was really spacious. The cafeteria had a very modern design, mostly decorated in dark wood. Even though it was called a cafeteria, only the title and atmosphere was the same. Besides that, this whole place was like a restaurant.

This wasn’t a place to eat meals, more like a private food company ran by the school? I’m not sure whether this is for welfare students or not.

The price of the food was very cheap because it’s run by the school.

I’m very happy with the price of the omelet rice only being 3,500 won(3.22 USD) Samwon High School really is the best!

Besides the price of the food, I really liked the interior of the cafeteria. It had fluffy sofas, and a really spacious terrace. I was thinking about eating out on the terrace but, it was still windy and cold so I decided it would be best to eat indoors.
