The unemployed youths were awe-struck.
In front of them, Tang Qianmiao looked nonchalantly calm and continued to walk ahead without slowing down, until the boys were standing in front of her blocking her path.
“Little sister, where are you going?”
“Get out of the way,” Tang Qianmiao said with a faint upturn of her lips.
The boys exchanged looks and started to laugh, coming across like slimy wretches. The leader of the gang reached out to touch her chin and said, “Let Big Brother give you a massage…”
The boys sniggered again. One of them drew out a cigarette with contempt in his eyes and was about to light it when he heard a yell of agony.
He looked over and saw that their big brother’s hand had been twisted by Tang Qianmiao. Then with a swift movement, her foot planted a firm kick to the boy’s crotch before she single-handedly threw him onto the ground!
Sh*t! Her movements were quick, sharp, and ruthless!
The moment their big brother fell onto the ground, all of them shuddered. The boy who was lighting up his cigarette froze in shock.
Tang Qianmiao looked at the boy on the ground expressionlessly as she reached out to take another boy’s cigarette. She held his cigarette between her teeth and arrogantly lifted a lazy gaze. A hint of scorn could be discerned from that look on her face. And although she had no lipstick on, her lips were luscious as they moved lightly to mouth the word, “Light.”
The boy, strangely mesmerized and as though possessed, obediently produced a lighter from his pocket, lit it, and held it up to her cigarette.
She drew in a light breath and exhaled slowly. “You want money?”
The few unemployed youths started shaking their heads and said, “No… no…”
The girl raised her brow and nodded. Then she removed the cigarette from her mouth and tucked it above the boy’s ear, saying, “It looks more the show’s over.”
Having said this, she continued to walk ahead.
“Cousin, wait for us,” Lin Wenyu suddenly called out.
Feng Chuchu and the rest quickly followed after her, standing behind Tang Qianmiao like chicks behind the mother-hen. Only Shi Chengan pulled a long face and refused to budge, finding it most shameful if he were to do the same.
Tang Qianmiao turned to look at the few unemployed youths and said, “Don’t misunderstand. I’m certainly not with them.”
Lin Wenyu turned ashen at once and cried, “Cousin, how could you!”
Tang Qianmiao ignored her and slowly walked away. Behind her, she could hear Feng Chuchu’s vague sobbing.
At this point, a light suddenly flashed in her eyes. She turned and saw a little boy holding up a camera. He had a little backpack on his back and stood at the little lane to her right.]
Her expression remained cold as she said, “Kid, what are you doing?”
The boy lowered his camera and came towards her with a grin. “Sister, you were so cool!”
Tang Qianmiao looked at those familiar features on the boy’s face and a hint of surprise flashed across her eyes. She looked into the distance as she asked, “Why are you here?”
“I was here to look for Big Sister. I was waiting at the school entrance for some time but I saw you teaching the thugs a lesson so I didn’t want to interrupt. Big Sister, did you learn those kung fu moves from Master Song Ya? That was so awesome. I want to learn too!
“Dad and Mom wouldn’t let me interrupt you, so I went to register in a Wushu academy. Just a short time back we took part in a boot camp. Now I can perform a whole set of moves!”
As the boy spoke, he happily looked up at Tang Qianmiao, full of admiration in his eyes.
Tang Qianmiao stared back for a while at the little boy who was barely nine years old. With little expression, she asked him, “Who brought you here?”
“I came by myself in the car. I tricked the family chauffeur into going to buy a few things, hehe.” The little boy giggled happily.
He didn’t have a choice, his father wouldn’t let him see his big sister so he had to resort to such means!
“I have things to attend to. Call the chauffeur to come to pick you up,” she said.
After a moment, Tang Qianheng nodded.
Tang Qianmiao waited with him nearby, and in the meantime bought him something to eat. The emotions she felt were rather complex, hearing herself being called “Big Sister” over and over again.
She couldn’t get used to it.
Fifteen minutes later, the Tang family chauffeur arrived. Looking horrified, he quickly ushered the little Master into the car.
“Wait,” Tang Qianmiao called out.
The chauffeur turned around and asked, “Eldest Young Miss, is there anything else?”
“Don’t tell that person that the boy came to visit me.”
The chauffeur was stunned for a moment before a look of realization came over him and he said, “I understand.”
After seeing the car drive into the distance, Tang Qianmiao left.
