“I’m slow. I will not be able to pick it up.” Song Wenxin shook her head and persisted.
“Song Wenxin, shall I teach you?” Seeing that she was obstinately refusing to comply, Jiang Beihan was starting to get annoyed.
“Huh?” Song Wenxin was stunned. How was he going to teach her?
“Just try it and you will get the hang of it!” Jiang Beihan replied as his lips suddenly curled, revealing a sneer.
That smile made Song Wenxin’s heart miss a beat, and she immediately felt uneasy, as though something ominous was about to take place. She was very sure that the trial that he was referring to was definitely not something good!
“No… that’s not necessary. I seem to have a recollection of how a massage is done,” Song Wenxin replied as she scrambled to sit up and proceeded to give Jiang Beihan a shoulder rub. What the heck? It was just a shoulder rub anyways. Not a big deal after all!
At that, Jiang Beihan smiled with satisfaction.
Biting her lips, Song Wenxin reached out and placed both hands on Jiang Beihan’s shoulders, feeling, unmistakably, his body warmth on her palms.
Since she had no idea how to give a massage, Song Wenxin just applied light pressure to gently knead his solid shoulders.
With Song Wenxin seated behind Jiang Beihan and massaging his shoulders, there was barely any distance between them. She caught a whiff of the refreshingly aromatic scent of his shampoo on his body.
What surprised her was that she found herself liking that nice smell…
At that thought, Song Wenxin bit her lips in confusion and intentionally put some distance between Jiang Beihan and herself.

In contrast to Song Wenxin’s state of confusion and embarrassment, Jiang Beihan looked very relaxed as he sat primly on the sofa, indulging in the massage service that Song Wenxin was giving him.
Although her massage technique was clearly not practiced and her pressure was totally inadequate—too light, even—he nonetheless felt unexpectedly comfortable.
The launch activities were, in the meantime, being streamed live on the LED TV in the room.
While a red-faced Song Wenxin was in the midst of giving Jiang Beihan a shoulder massage, not uttering a word.
Jiang Beihan shut his eyes and curled his lips in a smile, a satisfied look on his face. To him, the ambiance in the room was unexpectedly and unexplainably soothing.

After spending more than ten minutes massaging Jiang Beihan’s shoulders, Song Wenxin could not take it any longer.
“I’m tired!” she announced as she removed her hands and sat slightly back deliberately, putting some distance between herself and Jiang Beihan.
Sensing that she was tired, Jiang Beihan did not force her to continue, but instead picked up his documents and resumed his reading.
Looking at him and not saying a word, Song Wenxin turned and continued to watch the live stream of the launch activities.
Except for the noise from the live stream on the TV screen, there was practically silence in the room.
Fidgeting restlessly, Song Wenxin stole a glance at Jiang Beihan, who was seated beside her, engrossed in signing some documents.
Sussing up the situation, an idea suddenly sprung up in her head
Taking advantage of the fact that Jiang Behan was engrossed in his work, she stood up slowly and stealthily from the sofa, intending to sneak out of the lounge and into the launch venue where the activities were being conducted.
However, just as her bump had left the sofa, Jiang Beihan’s low voice sounded.
“Where are you off to?”
Sprung, Song Wenxin froze, immediately feeling a little embarrassed.
She was not sure if she could say that she was too stupid or that Jiang Beihan was too smart.
“My stomach is a bit upset, and I just need to go to the bathroom.” She looked at him and smiled sheepishly, feeling a little guilty and rubbing her tummy.
Jiang Beihan, having seen through her ploy, gave a curt laugh and said pointedly, “There’s a bathroom right here in this suite.”
