Sen Xinmeng sat in a European-style hammock chair as she watched Ji Anan step onto the Sen family’s property.

With her long hair loosely tied up on one side with a lace ribbon and wearing a one-shoulder maxi dress that revealed her beautiful neck and collarbone, she looked as refreshing and pure as a water nymph.

She looked Ji Anan up and down condescendingly in mockery of her pride.

“Miss Sen, your bodyguards were harassing me, so I helped you teach them a lesson.” Ji Anan walked over with a smile.

Sen Xinmeng saw the slap marks on the faces of her four bodyguards. “What happened?”

One guard replied, “She said that she was Young Master Beiming’s most beloved woman, so if she was beaten, the entire Sen family would suffer the consequences…”

Right when those bodyguards had raised their fists, about to beat her, she used her silver tongue and bluffed to successfully intimidate them.

She also gave them a few slaps across the face. To leave evidence, she left some dirt behind on their cheeks.

Sen Xinmeng could no longer maintain her facade of dignity. “You pieces of trash! How can you believe anything that comes out of her mouth? His most beloved woman—how shamelessly pompous of her to say.”

“You had someone tail me, right?” Ji Anan smiled. “So how can you not know about my relationship with Shaoxi?”

Sen Xinmeng narrowed her eyes and lit a cigarette. “I’ve done research on you. You saved Old Master Beiming half a year ago, and that’s the reason he’s so fond of you. Then, you took advantage of Shaoxi while he was drunk and seduced him in bed. Ji Anan, did you really think that your little tricks would escape my eyes? Did you really think that you could take advantage of the fact that Old Master Beiming wants a grandson, then use it as an excuse to marry into the family, and all would be well?”

Ji Anan smiled as she pulled out a recorder and placed it on the table. “Listen to this.”

Sen Xinmeng picked up the recorder, then pressed the play button.

Ji Anan said calmly, “This is my meal ticket. He proposed to me, but as long as you give me money, I promise I’ll stay far away from him.”

[Marry me.]

The recorder played back Beiming Shaoxi’s irresistible voice.

Ji Anan turned her head. Outside the window, the sun was shining brightly, yet there appeared to be a rising mist, and it looked as though a figure materialized from the mist.

He had black pupils and wore dangly S-shaped earrings.

He was wrapped in a gray fur coat that had a fox head, which was staring at her intently.

“Qianmo, when dealing with ruthless people, you have to be even more ruthless than them.”

The Su Qianmo and Gu Nancheng from the past already seemed out of reach…

After the recording finished playing, murderous envy flashed through Sen Xinmeng’s eyes.

“Before I came here, I left a voicemail for Shaoxi. If I don’t return in an hour, the voicemail will be sent to him automatically.” Ji Anan lifted her wrist to check the time on her watch. “Forty-five minutes have passed already.”

Ji Anan held a golden spoon in her hand as she nonchalantly stirred her red tea. “Miss Sen, there isn’t much time left, so please think this through.”

A bodyguard bent down and asked his boss what she intended to do.

Clenching the recorder in her hand, she reached out to slap Ji Anan across the face.

The tea cup with the red tea fell to the ground and broke with a sharp clinking sound.

“You deserved this slap for shamelessly seducing him!” She was furious that Ji Anan had tainted him with her debauchery.

Ji Anan rose up slowly, then struck Sen Xinmeng hard against the cheek—

The sound of the slap echoed throughout the entire teahouse.

The force of the blow made Sen Xinmeng turn to the side, and her hands went to her face as she stared at Ji Anan in astonishment, stunned that she had dared to hit her.

Ji Anan icily spat, “Don’t blame a woman for you not watching your man carefully enough! If Beiming Shaoxing wasn’t already corrupted, he wouldn’t have been involved with a woman like me in the first place.”

As soon as she finished, there was a loud noise.

Bam! A nearby standing mirror was struck by a bullet, and the entire piece of glass shattered to pieces.
