Heavenly Lord Asura - Chapter 54

Most importantly, he had vaguely guessed what Chi Yanzi was up to.

He took up this mission mainly because he wanted to get away from that dark room, the prison. He would rather die than to return to that place.

Cold sweat popped up on Wutian’s forehead. How much courage and adoration Han Tian needed before he dared to dig at the great elder?

Who was Han Tian, really? What was so special about him?

He was not going to believe that a direct disciple of the clan master, a quadruple elemental being, dared to shoot his mouth off like that.

“That rascal!” Chi Yanzi’s beard twitched, but he was not really angry. Instead, there was a hint of a smile on his face.

“I am sorry, I have something coming up. I have got to go. But I will never forget what you have done for me today.” Wutian cupped his hands.

“Hold on a second,” said Chi Yanzi. “Are you Wutian?”

Wutian nodded with a suspicious look in his eyes.

“Very well. Very well!” Chi Yanzi nodded non-stop and appeared even more pleased. This teen was exceptionally talented. He did not see the battle earlier, but by the looks of the level of devastation in the surroundings, and the injury this teen suffered, he could already imagine how intense the battle had been.

“Ninety-nine Ultimate Realm. The Son of Heaven!”

Han Tian had sent back all the intel about Wutian earlier. So every person high up in the Yan Clan knew who he was.

With the wave of his hand, Chi Yanzi summoned a beam of light to engulf Wutian in it. Wutian instantly felt a powerful vitality flying around his body, nourishing every inch of his skin.

The same happened to Little Tian; the same light engulfed it, rapidly healing its skin.

The crackling sound came continuously; it was the sound of the collision of the bones. As his broken bones rejoined, numbness and pain hit him. Yet he felt extremely good.

Chi Yanzi’s cultivation base was astonishingly high. It did not take long before they had half-recovered from their injuries.

Chi Yanzi redrew his Essence elixir. “Your injuries are no small matter. I could only do so much. But no worries. You two are okay now. Given a month or two, you two will fully cover.”

“Thank you so much!” Wutian cupped his hand. Little Tian was gazing fixedly at Chi Yanzi. So he gave it a kick, and it quickly imitated what Wutian did, cupping its jaws, meaning to say thank you.

It was amazing that it could now move its two broken claws freely, as if they had never been broken before. Its eyes lit up, thinking if it should kidnap this old man and make him his personal doctor.

“Don’t mention it.” Chi Yanzi put up his hand. “I wonder if you are interested in joining the Yan Clan. I can make you my disciple.”

“This is exactly what I am coming for. But I still have some unfinished business. Hope you don’t mind,” said Wutian.

Since things had been settled here, joining the Yan Clan was only a matter of time. His priority now was to help Shishi get Yi back.

If Han Tian were here, he would scold Wutian as an idiot. The great elder was incredibly powerful. Many disciples in the clan had been dreaming of becoming his disciples. Even Han Tian himself had been so. It was a chance of a lifetime.

Of the thousands of disciples in the clan, no one had found favor with him. He did not have a single direct disciple until now.

He had done something unprecedented by asking Wutian to be his disciple. Yet Wutian had tactfully declined the offer. Had Han Tian known this, he would have scolded Wutian to high heaven.

Chi Yanzi was startled. Apparently, he had not expected that Wutian would decline. “I know what business you are on. Just follow me back to the clan, and before long, the flying fox will be back.”

“Really?”

Wutian was pleasantly surprised. Bear in mind that Zhao He’s father was a great cultivator of the Reborn. There was no lack of powerful fighters in his family. Also, he heard that Hell City was a complex place. He had been scratching his head at how he was going to rescue Yi. If the Yan Clan could intervene, things would be much simpler.

Chi Yanzi nodded.

“Master!” Wutian bowed, showing his willingness to follow him back to the Yan Clan.

“What about me?”

Shishi pouted, shaking Wutian’s hand. He smiled at her, then looked over at Chi Yanzi.

Shishi knew who was the boss here. She scurried up to him, hugging him by his leg.

“Grandpa, after you take Wutian away, how am I supposed to live? Am I going to live a lonely life again? No one cares about me.” She whined, forcing herself to shed some crocodile tears.

“Caw, caw!” It seemed that Shishi was not the only one. Little Tian was making its move. It jumped onto Chi Yanzi’s head with no fear. It did not take long before Little Tian made a mess of his hair.

Chi Yanzi’s face reddened. This little thing was the first person who dared to climb onto his head.

“Caw, caw!” Little Tian pointed at Wutian and gripped Chi Yanzi’s gray hair to make his stance: If it were not allowed to tag alone, it would pull out all his hair.

He should have been angry. But this Gobbler was a Light Being, and come with it a flying fox, and the Son of Heaven. These monsters were scarce, and now they were all in front of him. How could he get angry? He was in a pickle.

“Stop! Stop!” Chi Yanzi compromised, at last. “I never said you couldn’t come along.”

“Yeah!” Shishi and Little Tian jumped up and high-fived each other. Shishi plunged into Wutian’s arms. “Grandpa has agreed. We will not be separated.”

There was a cry, then Little Tian was seen jumping back onto Wutian’s shoulder with a bundle of gray hair in its claw. Chi Yanzi looked like he was in pain, blue veins popping up on his skin. He was starting to regret it, wondering if his decision to take in these little rascals was right.

Little Tian looked triumphant, patting itself on the chest, as if it was showing off.

“Hey, Little Thing, Wutian is the most senior here, and I come in second. So I’m your senior, and you are the junior.” Shishi reminded it.

Little Tian was not too happy about it. It waved the gray hair in its claw, meaning, “Will you dare to pull out that old man’s hair? I did! If you do, then I will listen to you.”

Shishi clenched her hands together in hesitation. At last, she could not stand Little Tian’s clamor and scampered up to Chi Yanzi, looking up at him. “Grandpa, Master, could you please lower your head for a second? I have got some secret to tell you!”

What secret?” Chi Yanzi bent down his body. He could not understand beast language, so naturally he did not know what Shishi was up to.

“Ouch!”

Chi Yanzi cried out in pain again as Shishi scampered back with a bundle of gray hair in her hand. “I did it, Little Thing. I am your senior!”

Little Tian looked at her sideways, then pointed at Wutian, meaning, “He has yet done it.”

Shishi was not happy. How could it go back on its word? So the two glared at each other, totally oblivious to the presence of the poor old man, their master.

Chi Yanzi’s face darkened as he finally figured it out.

What kind of persons were they? They could fight for seniority as much as they wanted, they should not have made his hair their pawn. They should know that it was not easy for me to grow hair at this age, unlike them, the youngsters. How long was he supposed to wait before he could regrow his hair? That said, he could bring himself to chide them.

But something was not right here. The beast language! Shishi understood beast languages. How could he overlook such an important ability? Chi Yanzi carefully studied Shishi with a strange expression in his eyes.

He had never known anyone who could understand beast language and communicate with the demonic beasts. This girl was incredible. He had just stumbled upon a treasure. He was so excited.

He hemmed twice. “You two need not fight. Let me decide on it.”

The two stopped and looked over in anticipation at the same time.

“From now on, Wutian will be the most senior, Shishi comes in second, then you, Gobbler. By the way, what is your name?”

“Little Tian!” Wutian glanced at Little Tian, who was jumping up and down indignantly on his shoulder. The result was clear to see.

“So Little Tian, you are the most junior. It is so decided. No more arguing about it.” Chi Yanzi was showing who was in charge here.

Obviously, Little Tian did not buy it. It ended up with Chi Yanzi losing another bundle of gray hair. He could not hold back his anger and started berating Little Tian for disrespecting its master.

After that, he collected himself and his face turned solemn. “You are in danger, Wutian.”

“You mean the wanted list of the Fire Cloud Clan?”

“That’s right. Since the Fire Cloud Clan got their hands on the Spirit-Devouring Demonic Manual, they had been growing in strength over the past few years. Not that we, the Yan Clan, are afraid. But since you are now a part of us, trouble is inevitable.” Apparently, the Yan Clan had been investigating the Fire Cloud Clan since the beginning.

“I am all ears, Master.”

“You need a new identity,” said Chi Yanzi.

“A new identity?” Wutian was not sure what that meant.

“Yeah. Since the battle of Mount Scorpius, Wutian aka Guyu has killed the young clan master of the Fire Cloud Clan, Huo Yunzi’s most favored disciple, Liuyan, and Elder Wu, the censor, while you have suffered severe trauma and since died.”

“From now on, you are Yan Yangzi.” Chi Yanzi summoned his strength and a bright light burst out. As he moved his hands in a certain motion, the dazzling light formed into the shadow of a person standing at seven feet tall.

“Merge!”

As Chi Yanzi commanded softly, the shadow descended and disappeared into Wutian’s body. Next, the strange thing happened.

His body was changing quickly. In almost the blink of an eye, a stranger appeared in front of everyone else’s eyes.

He was thin, refined, and pretty handsome. Just that he looked like a nerd who could not even slaughter a chicken.

“Hey, brother, you become more handsome now. Just that it lacks the personal aura you used to have. It looks more like you are sick.” Shishi looked at him, blinking.

Indeed. He now looked totally like a serious nerd was about to go for an examination. He appeared soft and frail, giving the impression that he was sick.

The only consolation was he got a good look, more handsome than last time. He would look no less charming than Han Tian if he were given some decent attire makeover.

But Wutian could not have cared less about looks. He was happy not to appear like a fat dude who could not even see his own toes while standing, or become as skinny as a monkey. That was all he asked for.

“Remember, you are Yan Yangzi from now on. You had been following me to practice cultivation since you were small. This is the first time you appear. That’s how you are going to tell everyone even back in the clan.” Chi Yanzi instructed.

Right then, inside the cave, shadows started to appear. These people were none other than the genius teens who had been sleeping earlier. Han Tian had told them what had happened, and they were all furious, especially when they heard about the Spirit-Devouring Demonic Manual.
