Heavenly Lord Asura - Chapter 46

“Go away. Don’t touch me!” Han Tian roared. As Little Tian crashed on top of him, his still painful chest, which he had just managed to heal, burst open again. Blood oozed out non-stop as he broke a few of his ribs. The excruciating pain nearly knocked him out.

Little Tian angrily pulled back its claws and glared at Elder We. Its eyes then scanned around, looking for its broken teeth. They were the most powerful weapons that it could not afford to lose.

Elder Wu was no better. He had forced Little Tian back, but half of his hand was bitten, and he was bleeding profusely. If not for his solid cultivation base and healing the wound timely, he would have bled to his death.

His combat strength had somewhat declined. But compared to the injuries of Wutian and others, it was well worth it.

Little Tian suddenly lunged out as it had found its broken teeth.

“Heck, you are not going to get it back!” Its teeth posed a grave threat to Elder Wu. He must not allow Little Tian to retrieve them. He lunged out, stood in its way, and struck with his hand. Little Tian was hit and sent flying up backward.

Little Tian was furious. It spun in the air and a black light burst out. The sky dimmed, and the earth faded into darkness.

This was an all-powerful move. Little Tian used to perform this move to kill a Fire Snake.

An invisible energy struck like a black star crashing down from the sky. It was brutal and destructive. The earth shook, giant trees snapped, and mountains collapsed with hundreds of thousands of tons of rocks falling down and dust covering the entire area.

Elder Wu looked grave. The little beast’s strength was beyond the Reborn period. Even he was afraid to take on the little beast.

He rose into the air like a bright moon with a blinding, brilliant glow, inside which was a blurry shadow of a monster. It had four powerful limbs, stood at several thousand feet tall in the shape of a cheetah, extremely hideous. The unique feature of this monster was the horn on its head. It was this horn that gave out the brilliant glow.

The great cultivators of the Meridian Growth period could practice magic phrases, mobilizing the mana, forming phantoms to launch attacks. They had an unfathomable level of strength.

Boom!

A black sun collided with the bright moon. As if giant waves pounded the shore, the rumble was ceaseless. A peak broke off from the mountain, shattered. Giant rocks fell like a meteor shower down to earth, destroying everything.

Elder Wu fell out of the sky as if a falling meteorite. The dark rock where Zhao He was suddenly exploded and trees fell like wheat.

Blood kept oozing out of the wounds on Little Tian’s body, but it was oblivious to it. Instead, it flew down and moved like a flash, picking up its broken teeth, and fixed them back into its mouth.

With something to depend on now, it charged at Elder Wu with a vengeance.

Its tiny body seemed to have an inexhaustible power. The earth trembled and cracked, and ancient trees snapped with each punch it struck. Its teeth were even more ferocious. It had gone frenzied, a through-and-through Primordial Little Vicious Beast.

Elder Wu, who had a solid cultivation base and long experience, was not going to be defeated so easily. Yet, he had a frightening realization: he could not defeat the little beast either, in a short time.

A human and a beast were having a showdown, holding nothing back. Each move was vicious and lethal, each of them wanting to put the other to death. Zhao He and others stepped back to make room for them. The place had been leveled, as if crushed by some war machines. It was a mess and destruction.

On the other hand, another battle was just about to begin.

Huoshi was burning with fire, literally. Yet the fire did not hurt him, not even his clothes and hair. “You are going to die this time, and no one could save you.”

“Blood for blood! I am going to cut off your head and sacrifice it to the dead souls of Dragon Village!” Wutian’s voice was incredibly frosty. With the wave of his arm, a violent wind came and rocks shot out with intense speed and fearsomeness.

“I’m afraid you are not going to have the chance!” Huoshi sneered.

Clunk!

A fire-red sword was unsheathed to the sound of a metallic clunk. The sword was three-foot-long, five-inch-wide, burning with licking flames, so sharp that it could cut through anything in this world, including those rocks shooting toward him. The earth suddenly shook with an incessant rumble.

The sword energy was piercingly cold, coming straight at Wutian. Creasing his brow, he dodged aside. A few giant ancient trees snapped in the middle, crushing down on a vast area of forest, leaving behind a deep gully in the earth.

“Spiritual Weapon!” Wutian was shocked.

He leaned forward and flicked his finger. Bear in mind that this was a move out of the Ninety-nine Ultimate Realm, which could blow a mountain peak out of the sky. The big sword licking with fire vibrated violently. Huoshi was shocked, the part between his thumb and forefinger bleeding, and he found himself losing control of his big sword.

“Your power…” Huoshi’s murderous intent went through the roof, holding the sword with both hands and swinging it down.

No one knew Wutian’s capability better than he did. He still remembered when he met Wutian for the first time, Wutian was just a rookie cultivator whom he could kill with the flick of a finger. But in just a short span of a few months, Wutian’s strength had grown tremendously.

He must not make the same mistake again; his person must die today.

But another terrifying scene appeared; Wutain reached out his left hand and grabbed the blade bare handedly. The big sword instantly snapped in half. How did he do that? Was this something happening in the dream?

Wutian smirked and flung out the broken blade with force. It pierced through the air and went through at its target: Liuyan. He had an incredibly powerful physique, so powerful that when he threw the broken blade out with all his strength, it shot out at a speed faster than lightning could catch up.

“Watch out, Liuyan!” Huoshi shouted.

Zhao He and his son were tempted to save her.

But Han Tian stood in their way. “I advise you all to stay put and wait for the elders to arrive. The Clan Master will decide what to do with you all later.”

Zhao He’s heart skipped a beat. “Who the hell are you?”

“Me?” Han Tian smirked. He took out an emblem the size of his hand. The emblem was exuding a purple energy that sent hearts palpitating. “Recognize this?”

Zhao He was wide-eyed. “Emblem of a direct disciple? You are a direct disciple of the clan master?”

“At least you know.” Han Tian sneered. “Master knew about the monkey business of the Zhao family a long time ago and sent me to investigate, Zhao He. And you, Zhao Kuang, don’t you try to do anything stupid. Master has already found your little hidey hole in Hell City. If you still care for your family and their lives, then stay back here.”

“What?” Zhao He and his son were stunned. They built the secret base in Hell City back then was to prevent this from happening. Little did they expect it would be found out. Now they had no choice but to stay put.

Direct disciples had high positions in the clan. Their words carried so much weight that they could speak on behalf of the clan master.

The broken big sword looked like the scythe of the Grim Reaper, pulsing with a terrifying light.

When Liuyan realized what was happening, it was too late. The broken blade hit her, penetrating her abdomen. Blood splattering as far as ten feet away, her Fire elemental essence spurting and disappearing into thin air.

She cried in pain. This blow would not take her life, but her Sea of Qi was damaged, which meant she was no longer a cultivator but a mortal from now on.

No matter how impressive and talented a cultivator was, as soon as his or her Sea of Qi was destroyed, the cultivator could no longer make a comeback.

She dropped to the ground slowly, looking at Huoshi. Her beautiful face turned pale, despair filling her eyes like an old woman breathing her last.

When the Sea of Qi was lost, all the past hard work and hope of the future would vanish. She would no longer have anything to do with all this.

This was exactly what Wutian had intended. Killing them was not enough to quench his hatred.

The burning village, the helpless villagers in despair, the death of his grandpa in the fire; it all came back. The images were so vivid and real, as if it had just happened yesterday. His heart ached, as if it had been stabbed by an awl and slashed by a knife. He was bleeding inside.

“Liuyan!” Huoshi’s eyes wide open in anger. He was heartbroken, his heart aching as if there were thousands of ants eating his flesh and bones.

He also felt sad, as if he had lost something. He had never felt this way before, not until his sect sister was dying. He suddenly discovered that his sect sister was so important to him.

He suddenly realized that he had missed so many things when he saw the helpless and sad eyes of hers.

He did not know to cherish her until he lost her. He had been taking her for granted all this while, as if her presence was a matter of course. But now, he felt his sect sister was leaving him, almost vanishing before his eyes. This was how he felt right now, and it felt real.

Tears flowed down his face for the first time. Before this, he was only seeing others cry in their sorrow. But now, he was feeling the same pain.

“When I slaughtered the people in Dragon Village back then, you must have felt the same, don’t you? But who could understand me? My mother was framed for something she did not commit, and my father killed her without even asking. My real brothers treated me like an enemy and coveted my position. Those disciples in the clan were nice to me in front of me but stabbed me in the back. So I learned. If you want to survive in this world, you have got to be more ruthless than anyone else. And I did it. Only my sect sister understands me, be by my side through thick and thin.”

Huoshi mumbled, as if he was questioning and talking about something inconsequential.

Gradually, his face contorted, becoming hideous. He looked up with his bloodshot eyes. “You took away someone dear to my heart. I will kill you!” he roared.

A monstrous black mist rushed out of his body, engulfing the entire surroundings. Grimness, evil, chill and all types of indescribable feelings permeated the air.

The bloodshot in his eyes faded, replaced by a black glow. It looked as if a pair of soul-sucking black holes.

“Don’t do that, Huoshi. A reversed demonic manual will turn you into a demon!” Liuyan tried to stop him, but she was too weak even to stand up. Her face was pale and filled with worries.

“If I could go back in time, I would still choose to do so. I will never regret it.” Huoshi shouted. His pair of black-light eyes made him look like a demon king that had crossed over the boundary. His body suddenly got a bump in strength, his power reaching the level of a semi-Meridian Growth period.

Contorted faces appeared in the black mists in the surroundings, howling like the cries of ghosts with different horrible expressions. They were flying around Huoshi as if the king of hell was immersed in the bath of vengeful souls.

“Kill!” He pointed his finger forward and a violent wind blew. Black mist still permeated the air and those wailing, ghostly faces flew forward. It was the ghastly scene of a hell on earth.

Those ghostly faces were the souls of those people he had killed and devoured. They possessed a strong hatred and could strike fear in people and cause illusion. It was a killer move.
